"Meditation..."
That was a new idea. She hadn't tried to do something like that, but if it helped clear her mind, it couldn't necessarily be a bad thing. It was only by opening herself up to these new experiences that she was able to gain any control at all. She hadn't been actually casting any spells before now, but she had a better understanding and could do very small basic magical tasks. Adeline had better control than she did. She had also been at this magical thing far longer than Namine had, so the blonde would go to her for some advice.
"W-what do you recommend for that?"

"Well, you want someplace quiet," Adeline said. "Your room, maybe. Or even this park is a pretty good place when it isn't crowded." Heck, Adeline had fallen asleep here more than once. Reading a book on a drowsy Sunday afternoon could make her conk out pretty quickly. Her mother always joked that she was like a cat in that sense. If she got stuck in a nice beam of sunlight for a while, she'd doze off. "I've heard some people get one of those tapes that plays, like, rain forest noises or something. It's supposed to help you relax. And that's really what you want. Some place quiet will help you calm down a bit from everything else that's going on."

"Thank you," Namine said sincerely.
She would have to look into those. She could find music easily enough. Omar was the master of all thing dulcet and comforting (when regarding music of course). She cold perhaps even listen to his louder pieces as long as she knew he was the one who sang them, but calmer pieces, perhaps instrumentals would be better suited for meditation.
"I-I'll have to try that." she added. "D-Does it help you?"

"I think the deep breathing does, more than anything else," Adeline replied. "It just kind of makes you stop and think for a minute instead of letting your emotions make you all crazy." She couldn't count how many times Pitch had reminded her to breathe when teaching her something. She could get to tense during moments like that. "Heck, reading gets me in a pretty calm mood if it's the right book. Maybe just drawing something that isn't related to work could do the same thing." Drawing for pleasure could probably help Namine relax a bit. Adeline felt like it might be a nice break from all the ugly mugs she had to sketch all the time. It was just like when Adeline needed a break from her spell books and just wanted to read a simple "slice of a life" story, or a fairy tale.

"Aqua... says I should stop drawing as much..." she admitted. "I hurt my w-wrist because I drew too much."
Her work pushed her until she couldn't do anything. She would be exhausted but they would demand more and more. But Aqua stepped in. Got Namine's hours cut to a reasonable time and gave the chief a hard stop for the young woman. It helped to not have that much pressure on her, even if the only department that actually valued her was the Others department. The humans in the precinct only saw her as a printing press of crooks' faces.
"But... I could t-try to pick up more hobbies?"
It wasn't a bad idea. It would get her out there a little more. Maybe meet even more people!

"Oh, right. Hadn't thought about that," Adeline said. Drawing required a bit more muscle than just reading books all the time. Adeline could browse through spell books and her own personal collection for hours on end. The same probably couldn't be said for Namine and her drawing. Namine mentioned how she could try to pick up a new hobby and Adeline liked the sound of that idea. Maybe a different style of art would be good. Then again, that may tire out her wrist still. Things like sculpting or painting still required hand muscles. "There's always yoga?" she suggested hesitantly. "It's got that relaxing factor. And you might be able to work out any kinks in your wrist muscles." Namine might be a little apprehensive about going to one alone. Maybe Adeline could go with her some of the time. She'd never been a huge fan of group activities like that, but bringing a friend along might make it better. And it could probably ease any social anxiety they were feeling.

"D-Do you know of any classes?" Namine asked.
She hadn't thought of going out to classes like that. She had been too much of a homebody to even consider it. She kept to herself for a reason. But it was also because she was alone that Vanitas managed to grab her so easily. If Jane hadn't gotten taken too, there was no telling what would have happened to her. Jane - who jumped in to rescue a stranger.
"Or w-where I could find classes?"

"Not off the top of my head, but they probably have them somewhere around here," Adeline replied. "Probably at a gym or something. I can look online and see what I can find." She wondered if Axel would know anything. Out of everyone she knew, he was probably the most likely to work out somewhere. Or maybe he was just lucky in the looks department. Pitch probably wouldn't know, although it would be amusing to see him doing something as mundane as a spinning class. The only workout her parents ever did was walking around the neighborhood every once in a while. Regardless, she was sure she could find something.

"O-Or I could look," Namine said. "You've done so much already!"
Namine felt personally indebted to Adeline for all of her assistance. Adeline had proven to be a good friend when Namine needed her most. Lots of people had stepped up to make sure that she was okay, but if Namine ever really wanted to get better, she had to learn to do things on her own. She had to assert some independence and confidence without making it seem like she was ungrateful for everyone helping her get back on her feet. It was nice to know she wasn't alone anymore all the same.

"Okay, okay, that's fine," Adeline said, holding up her hands in surrender. "Whatever's cool with you." Namine had to set her own pace for her own recovery. That was the key when it came to this stuff. Sure, a little nudging was okay, but there was a difference between a nudge and a shove. And Adeline didn't want to do any shoving. That would just make Namine worse. She knew better than anyone that sometimes, people just needed their own space when it came to getting over something. And that wasn't to say that Namine hadn't made any progress. Adeline felt like she'd made a ton. The Namine she knew would never be up for a public yoga class, or be so determined to get control of her powers. She was starting to get her confidence back, bit by bit. And Adeline was proud of that.

"W-Would you want to go to the class together?" Namine asked.
It would be one thing to take the class, but another to have at least one friendly face there. Adeline had shown some interest in it. It could be fun to do something like that with a friend. She supposed it was still a minor fear to go to something like that alone, because what if Vanitas went after her again? But also, because she did want to work on this friendship with Adeline. It wouldn't work if they were only talking about her problems. She had to improve herself so people wanted to stick around.

"Sure," Adeline replied. "Having a friend would probably make me feel better. I haven't worked out properly in, like, forever." The only reason Adeline was as thin as she was was because she ate like a bird. Her appetite especially dropped when she was having an emotional slump and she wanted to do nothing but lock herself in her room. Of course, her dad always liked to joke that she was thin because she used so much brain-power reading advanced spell books all the time. She wasn't sure if that could actually happen to people, although it was an interesting theory.

"We'll go t-together then," Namine said. "I c-could get the information and g-get it to you?"
She liked that. She could be useful for once, doing something for someone other than herself. It would make her be more social than she was used to. At the same time, she knew she needed that, otherwise, she would be spending all of her time focusing only on her magic. Namine knew she had a lot to learn about being a functional adult, but she was willing to learn.

"Sounds good to me," Adeline replied. "Let's exchange phone numbers and you can just shoot me a text." She whipped out her cell phone, pulling up her contacts list. Admittedly, it was pretty small. It wasn't like there were a whole lot of people she wanted to call or text. Her parents were on there, as well as Pitch. She made a mental note to try and get Axel's number next time they hung out. It'd be good to have it around. Of course, if he ever found out she had run into Cruella, he may not be so keen on giving her his phone number. But she tried not to think about that.

"O-Oh! Um, okay?"
She wondered if Adeline's contact list had more people than hers. Namine barely had any at all. Just the essential people like Omar, Jane, her work work and her roommate Aqua. But no one else after that. She was more than happy to add Adeline to the contact list so when they exchanged numbers, she smiled. Her first real friend where she didn't have to get into a near life threatening situation or desperately need help to gain. It was a rather good feeling that left her feeling quite proud of herself.
