Yang gave a little laugh. Manolo was certainly more amusing when he wasn't getting crabby over being sneaked up on. "You remind me of someone I used to know," she said. "He acted the same way. Although with a lot more puns sprinkled in." Of course, as Chat Noir, Adrien's puns tended to be cat-related. It was something he had a knack for. Some people might get bored of puns really quickly, but Yang always found them amusing. Or maybe they were just funny 'cause Adrien was the one saying them. She could be biased like that sometimes.

When Yang said she reminded him of someone, Manolo felt his body tense for the briefest of moments. Remind her of someone? Had she seen in him something of his alter ego? Surely not. Of course there had been some small news pieces about the recent thefts in Bellerouge and how the figure had come to be known as the 'Calavera Theif' but the one picture they had managed to get was extremely blurred..... and it was that of a skeleton.
A moment later, the tension eased from his shoulders when she stated that the person she was speaking of was a previous acquaintance of hers. So she hadn't been thinking of that. Silently he scolded himself for jumping to that conclusion so quickly, but the fact that during his last robbery they had gotten a picture of him had put him on edge. However, he kept the smile on his face as he spoke once more.
"Si? Well, you must attract quite the unique individuals to you. And handsome, I might also add."
With this he gave her a cheeky wink and large grin before laughing. Good, the laugh sounded perfectly natural and not strained at all. He needed to play it cool. After all, no one suspected him and why should they?

"Unique is definitely one way to describe him," Yang replied. Adrien had really been unlike any guy she had ever met. She'd been drawn to his sense of humor and justice. And then she'd fallen for his gentleness and kind heart. There really was nobody like him. She liked that though. Adrien was one-of-a-kind, and that made him special to her. "So, are you saying I'm a magnet that just attracts hot guys to me?" she asked with a sly grin. She wasn't sure if that was true or not. She hadn't exactly been a player before meeting Adrien. Then again, the few flings she had weren't exactly the skinny dork type. They usually had some degree of toughness about them, and a sense of humor. And they hadn't minded hooking up for a very short time. It was hard to get into anything serious when you were living in an abandoned movie theater and had kids to look after.

Manolo merely grinned and shrugged his shoulders, appearing to be the picture of a young man perfectly at ease and ready to shoot the breeze with a lovely woman.
"I'm sure I can't say, although if any of these men can measure up in anyway to myself, well...."
He let his cheeky grin speak for itself. It was funny how only a moment before he had thought this woman might suspect him of being the thief that was slowly becoming known to both the BPD and people of Bellerouge. What could have made him think anyone, let alone this stranger he had just met, knew who and what he was.
Heck, Yang didn't even know that he was Other and he liked it that way. It was easier to fool people when you looked outwardly like a human even if you didn't exactly fall within what the layman referred to as 'normal.'

"You're that sure of your suaveness, huh?" Yang said. Manolo certainly seemed to have confidence about him. He was so certain of his charming and flirty ways, any other woman might have fallen for him in an instant. Yang had never been that kind of girl though. Love at first sight, it rarely happened these days. Sure, you might click really easily with someone, but actually falling in love when first seeing someone? It seemed more likely to happen in a fairy tale than real life. Then again, Bellerouge was made up of the creatures and people that usually showed up in fairy tales. Demons, witches, fairies, all were pretty prominent in stories like Hansel and Gretel or Sleeping Beauty.

Manolo's response was only to shrug again but the look on his face had changed into one much closer to the genuine person he was. There was no longer the cheeky arrogance, the overthetop flirting or the absolute carefree attitude. Rather something of his true colors were appearing and it contrived to make the young man seem more humble and yet genuine at the same time. It was almost as if the mask he was wearing had slipped and for just a bit allowed his true self to appear to Yang.
"Hey, you'd be surprised how many people love that kind of thing. All show but no substance. However, you don't really strike me as one of those people."

Yang shrugged. "I guess all show is fun when you're not looking for anything serious," she said. "Anything deeper though, it doesn't carry you very far." Any hook-ups she'd had in the past had been with guys she hadn't known too well. Any serious talk like plans for the future, their pasts, what they were doing in the present, wasn't needed. Adrien had really been the first person that Yang had really talked to about that kind of stuff. Well, technically, she'd first spilled the beans about her past to Omar, but still. Yang had an easier time talking about the hard stuff if it was with Adrien. He just helped her relax and not worry so much.

"Can't say I would know."
True, Manolo had hooked up briefly with several fiery and vivacious young women but they had been brief and mostly superficial. He had never felt truly in love with anyone and hadn't really even let anyone get close to him since Maria died and Joaquin left. They had been his only friends for so long and he just couldn't see anyone ever taking their place in his mind.
A small trace of this showed on his face but he quickly collected himself once more and smiled at Yang. While she seemed like the kind of person he could hang around with for a while to pass the time, he had other things to focus on.
"Hey, I better get going though. Got things to do, people to see, hearts to break."
His smile turned into a full blown grin, his mask firmly back in place.

While Manolo was enjoyable to hang around, their conversation had to be cut short. Yang realized that she had no idea what Manolo did for a living. Surely, charming young ladies wasn't his only occupation. Maybe that conversation would have to be saved for another time. Lady charmers could be innocent enough, or they could have more sinister plans in mind. Yang figured if Manolo was more like the latter though, he probably would have tried to pull something devious by now. "Careful how many hears you break. You never know when they might catch up with you," she warned teasingly. It felt like there was more to Manolo under all the suave-ness and flirty jokes, but she had no idea what. Maybe she'd have to take some time to find out.

He let out a laugh at Yang's words. Yes, she definitely seemed like the kind of person he could hang out with should their paths ever cross again. Who knew? Bellerouge was quite the mysterious city and fate was a funny thing. Maybe he'd run across the spirited blonde girl again.
"See you around, Blondie."
And with a smart little wave, he headed down the sidewalk by the river. True, it had been nice to just fool around with someone for a change and forget his troubles for a moment, but the young man had big plans. The day might belong to Manolo, but that night would belong to the Calavara Thief.

"See ya, Mr. Heartbreaker." Yang gave a little salute before Manolo headed off. The guy was a mystery in some ways, but still interesting. And his mannerisms reminded her of how she'd used to be when living on streets. Sometimes she wasn't proud of the thing she'd did, but she'd had some fun times, and she'd kept her kids out of harm's way. She felt like she could take pride in at least that much. With a final toss of her hair, she headed back the way she'd come, following the path that would lead back to her house.
