The moment was one of the few Elsa liked. Namine’s shyness was slowly melting and giving way to gratitude. A genuine kind of gratitude. Elsa didn’t want to imagine the kind of cruel life she had lived to be so closed off from the world. She had been somewhere in that road in law school, insecure about doing the right thing or going into the court to face imposing judges. Her roommate Zircon had been bolder, but that was another matter.
She reached into her pocketbook, pulling out a few tissues for Namine to dry her eyes. She didn’t stop her from crying, never in a few years.

"I can't t-thank you enough for everything you've done," she said
Namine took the tissue and dried her eyes. She supposed it was silly to cry now. This was a good occasion, not a bad one. She took a deep breath, trying to reign in her fraying nerves before she really did something emotional. Luckily, her water works was only a few tears, nothing offsetting or something that would completely halt their paperwork. Elsa had after all come for a reason, not to watch her get emotional over the past. She never expected to be sitting there with the lawyer to do this. She never expected a new family and a biological brother or a kind lawyer just helping out because she felt it was the right thing to do.

“Namine, it wasn’t me alone. It was a group effort.”
Elsa was the one who had to stand up to the law and do the talking. It had been Omar that wanted to save the girl’s life. It was Adrien that opened up the fact he was her brother to give her a family by blood that would love her. It was Jane that became an older sister figure to Namine.

"I-I know," she said hastily. "But I... never thought I'd be here."
Here is in where she was in her life. She had left her father in jail and her hopes and aspirations with him. She had only really thought about paying back the police who had saved her so she used her skills to benefit them. However, only the Others Unit truly appreciated her. Adrien had been dropping hints that if she wanted new employment she would have it in a heartbeat. All it took for Omar to legally adopt her was just her accidentally he was her father aloud. She simply felt unworthy of the attention and the doting, despite the many reassurances she was worth the effort, she was used to being told she wasn't.

Elsa smiled continued to stay where it was. “Everyone who has been through so much deserves a chance to be happy.” What else could she have said? The young girl as getting what most people would have wanted, and it wasn’t even Christmas.

"W-What do I have to do now?" she asked.
She figured it was just signing a few things here or there. It was probably something simple. Which meant that Elsa didn't need to make the trip to see her, but she wanted to. That seemed to make it more meaningful for Namine. Elsa was going the extra mile to make sure things went properly. She really took her work seriously if she was doing something like this. She nervously smoothed a hand through her hair. She was going to have to rely on Elsa's knowledge of this process from this point on. Though, now that she thought about it, she wished she had done something like this so much sooner. She would have felt so much better if she had cut ties with her father long ago.

“I won’t bore you with the extreme details of this,” Elsa chuckled, gesturing to the paperwork. It didn’t take much for her to admit paperwork was boring. She knew clients wanted to know summaries unless asked. Besides, Namine had been through enough. She flipped through a few pages, making them each with a snowflake at the bottom. “The ones I marked are the places you need to sign. Basically it ensures you accepted your adopter as your legal guardian and that you agree to the terms I gave him, which I doubt he’ll break.”

"P-Paper work is never fun," Namine said with a shy smile.
She did paperwork for her line of work. They were tedious and often unnecessary, but unfortunately, some of the higher ups didn't seem to think that. Besides, Namine couldn't help but shake her head and giggle when Elsa dismissed Omar breaking any sort of promise he made to her. That simply seemed impossible. He wasn't a man like that, and they both knew it. So she picked up the pen. No, Omar wasn't like her father. He was a better man than her true father could have ever hoped to be. Sign here. Initial there. Sign and date on the dotted line. Elsa had made it very clear for her.
"T-This is easier than I thought."
