"Don't hide it anymore, darling. Let them all see just how you truly feel in your heart. Let them all see how much they disgust you."
The woman continued to stroke Jane's hair ever so slightly, but the image of a kind-faced blonde woman with soft blue eyes was changing. The color of her hair seemed to be draining away, leaving nothing behind but a startling white. And her eyes had shifted, the blue growing into a deep purple that made her look completely inhumane in that moment.
Lilith knew that her mask was starting to crack but as she looked down at the ground on which the young woman stood she didn't care. Instead, a hellish smile slip her lips as the light that had been glowing beneath them formed a complete circle around the girl. The trap was sprung.
Without a word, she released her hold on Jane and stepped away from her, the evil smile turning the motherly façade into something straight out of a nightmare. Jane couldn't begin to comprehend it in that moment, but she had just become one of the three last Vessels the She-Demon was searching for. And as it had with Weiss, the ground on which they stood suddenly began to respond and reverberate with the evils that had been done there long ago.
Suddenly the air began to blur around them and vague shapes flitted around the clearing. Angry voices filled the air and near the water echoes of the past appeared. Few people knew the violent history of this section of land but not so long ago it had served as the sight for trails of witchcraft. Back before Others had finally be accepted in some degree, women accused of being witches had been brought here to face many horrors.
The dunking stool, the Witch's cradle, hangings, even burnings.... All had occurred on this stretch of land centuries past. And now this land, corrupted by these evil acts, spat up the distant ghosts of the past crimes. Yet above all the feelings that lingered here, the strongest of all came from the torturers themselves and was that of disgust, of detestation and repulsion. For even the idea of a witch amongst them had transformed these once ordinary settlers, their disgust changing them into monsters themselves.
All of this filled the clearing in which the two figures stood, all of the vile and evil energy called forth. And with a single pulse from the circle in which Jane stood, all the energy suddenly surged forward and poured into the young woman.

This was wrong. Her mother wasn't like this. She might have understood Jane's anger but not encouraged it. Moms don't encourage that sort of thing. She knew this was fishy from the beginning but her emotions got the best of her. She had spent so long missing her mother that she fell for this hook, line and sinker. She stared in surprise as the woman stepped away - clearly not her mother. She tried to take a step back but her mind - once again - wasn't keeping up with her heart.
"W-What?" she breathed.
Then came the voices, soft at first, but quickly crescendoed into a roar all around her. She clapped her hands over her ears, trying to drown out the noise. She felt as if she were being forced to curl in on herself to compensate. Something around her, the very air, felt off. Her eyes widened as a burst of energy was sent her way. Not even all the warning in the world could have gotten her to move in time as she was assaulted by the full blast. A shout left her lips but it was masked by the yelling all around her.

As the energy that filled the air encompassed Jane, Lilith let the last of the façade she was wearing melt away. She was glad to be rid of the illusion, it having taken far more effort then she normally had to apply. It would have been so much easier if the Vessel were male but that didn't matter now that the seal was about to break.
Truly circumstances couldn't have been better. The She-Demon had had no luck in finding anyone possessing nearly the level of disgust needed to break the second seal and she had merely gone to the park on a instinctual whim. And low and behold she had found Jane, the woman consumed by her loathing for the police that had never found her mother and brother's killers, the people that had taken her away from her family, even her own father for turning his love to a someone else.
All these memories and feelings had poured off of the young woman, making it childs play to fool her and bring her to this place. However, even as she stood several feet away from where Jane was enclosed in the throbbing lights of the seal, even as the evil energy of the place flooded into her, the half-Troll was trying to resist.
"Oh darling, don't you know? There is no fighting your own heart."

She managed to take one step before the force of the energy brought her to her knees. She was trying to ignore the feelings this was forcing her through. Unbridled rage and discontent with the police. Loathing for her father's repulsive faery fling. Nausea caused by arrogance of others around her, twisting and churning in her stomach like a poison. A venom that seeped and burned through her. She wanted them to pay. She wanted them all to pay for what they had done. How quickly they dismissed her and her concerns. She stared up at this strange woman - this twisted being. She would save her pleadings for help. This creature would not give them.
"I hate them," she uttered, "I hate them all! I hate everyone!"
A small voice in the back of her head tried to argue that wasn't true, but it was too easily stifled by the magic and Jane's years of repressed feelings. She might have been bitter and resentful to the cops, but even she had a line she didn't cross. Because they risked their lives on other cases. Just not the one most important to her.

Unlike Weiss, Jane had not immediately given into her disgust. Clearly some small part of her knew what she felt was wrong and yet Lilith's words to her had not been a lie. How did you fight your own heart and the dark things that lived there?
And as the handmaid of the Devil watched, Jane's final resistance crumbled away like ash and the ritual began. Immediately the runes that had been forming on the ground around her appeared on the half-Troll's skin, looking almost like pulsing purple burns. The energy of the wrongs done here filled her to bursting and the ground seemed to vibrate under their very feet.
"At last, dear! You've reached your full glory, the Vessel of Disgust!"
And stepping forward with her white arms raised over her head and a mad grin on her doll-like face, Lilith began to chant as she had in another place with another person not so long ago.
"Ego cubavit Lilith, et invocabo ad vires noua uocato senatu,Nicanor manifestare, fastidio. Ne in furore huius versperum posthac ad conteram sigillum Disparion in aeternum!"

She gave a loud cry. She didn't want this. Yes, she had been angry but she was trying to move past that. Like her father did. Only the hatred and the anger and the hurt was drowning out the that part of her heart. She felt blackened. She lurched, as if to crawl away but the magic pushed her where she was. She couldn't move, no matter how much she wanted to. She wasn't strong enough to fight it. A wretched feeling consumed her, mind, body and soul as this energy surged through her, consuming every rational thought she had. Names sat on her tongue, for people to call to for help.
Dad. Yang. Shadow.
No one came. She couldn't issue a sound except for a wrathful scream. Her throat was raw and it ached as she cried out. Her skin frightened her. Dark marks like burns ate across the flesh and up her person. She tried to wipe them away but it wouldn't do anything. She had no magic to counteract this. She could do nothing more than to ride this out and hope that through this all she lived. If she died, there would be too many things she would regret.

The violet light that filled the clearing seemed to reflect off of the very trees, the nearby river, the sky itself. Even the pale woman seemed bathed in the netherworld light that pulsed like a monstrous heart, but the energy only seemed to strengthen Lilith as she stared hungrily into Jane's face. The look was one of predatory delight, of simple cruel enjoyment in the girl's suffering. And something else even more, the realization that she was one step closer to finally setting her Lord and Master free!
The seal below Jane trembled, cracks appearing around the edges of the circle. However, it wasn't until she finally opened her mouth and screamed a truly horrible scream into the sky that the seal finally shattered. Once more the earth beneath their feet shook violently and once more the land where the seal had lain burnt until the spot on which Jane stood was black and lifeless. Tendrils of smoke rose up around the half-Troll as Lilith merely stood and watched her, her own figure seeming to glow with the hellish force that had filled the clearing a moment ago.

Jane trembled as the ground cracked and blackened. All the plant life around her seemed to die. She could feel heat rising off her skin, wafting around her in disturbing puffs of smoke. If she had the strength to move, she would have throttled the woman. As it were, she had about as much strength as a newborn. Of all the times, not to bring her conceal and carry with her, she had to pick now. She was kicking herself for it. She had fallen for whatever trap this woman set for her. She didn't even know what this woman wanted or had done. That was the worst part. She couldn't tell if there was something wrong with her now because of this.
"W-What did you do to me?" she grit out harshly.
Her voice felt torn, broken, weak. She hated feeling this way. She hated that this woman did something to her. She said she was some sort of vessel. She didn't understand what was going on, but now her anger was directed at the woman. This person who had used her dead mother's image. Yes, this person was very lucky that Jane had no strength or she would have tried to punch her (at the very least).

As the energy and light began to dissipate, as Jane was released from her hold to the seal and the last strands of smoke drifted away, Lilith only stood and closed her eyes. Yes, she could feel it now. The wards that separated this plane from that of Hell were weakening, slowly falling apart as she did away with the seals. However, her work wasn't finished yet. No, she still had two more seals to break before she could approach the key that would finally unlock the gateway.
When Jane finally spoke in a ragged voice, Lilith slowly opened her eyes to stare at Jane. This girl meant nothing to her now that she had fulfilled her purpose.
"Nothing at all. I just helped you unlock your true feelings and you helped me..."
She didn't finish and only offered the half-Troll her wicked smile, one that seemed to horribly mimic the smile that Jane's mother had once worn back when she was alive. It was just another dagger to drive into the heart of Jane.

Jane forced herself to her feet but her body ached. A dark look painted her expression of fury directed at this woman. If there was something that Jane could not stand for, it was being used for someone else's gain. Her foster parents had tried that with her. They wanted her to be the perfect little offspring (albeit not theirs because the Misses wouldn't allow a child to ruin her figure). This anger and resentment that the woman drew out of her, was no directed at the woman herself.
"Get away from me!" she snarled.
She couldn't threaten this woman. She had nothing to fight back with. She didn't have anyone to fight for her. She barely trusted the cops as it were and her father was likely tied up with his faery. Jane suddenly felt immensely alone. Standing up to someone she barely understood after something horrible happened. He ranger was her shield, to protect her from this woman once more, scare her off.

"Or you'll do what exactly?"
Lilith tilted her head slightly, causing her silver-white hair to cascade over one shoulder. Her tone sounded as if she were genuinely curious but the smile didn't leave her lips.
"You'll attack me? Hurt me? Kill me, perhaps?"
She laughed a light laugh as if the idea of someone like Jane harming her were amusing. And then she lifted a slender hand and pointed a single finger at Jane. A spark seemed to flash deeply within her violet gaze an instant before energy like purple electricity shot from the finger and hit the half-Troll squarely in the chest with enough force to render her unconscious. It was like being hit with a bolt of lightening!

Jane was struck once again by dark energy. The electricity ran through ever nerve, overloading it with pain. Her entire body seized in agony. She gasped in pain before falling to the ground once again with a heavy thud. She could barely breathe. She blearily looked up at the woman. Her head spun. Her line of vision blurred. A whimper escaped her lips but she couldn't keep her focus. The world around her went black.
