"Got to look out for the little people," Adrien said. "So... if you have any cases you know of where someone could use some help getting back on their feet, let me know. I'm hiring."
He smiled. Adrien liked the fact that his company could help the city. It might not be Milan, but his warehouses, his models, photographers, event coordinators and staff kept a lot of people employed. He wanted to help the city, every little bit counted in his book. He would hire anyone he could (within reason). He wanted to help anyone down on their luck, if he could. He supposed that was still his 'Chat Noir' speaking true. Which reminded him, he needed to have a clothing drive for last year's designs.

"Should I give them a detail or your contract? Overlook details?" Elsa joked.
Not that she didn't think Adrien was a bad boss. When people started out in the business, the power tended to get to them and would stay. But aside from knowing a bit about Adrien, she also knew people were nervous about going into such a big industry and the paranoia they had. She could act a reference maybe. The challenge was not giving away personal information like she would at a court. She could keep it simple, leave it at her overall opinion and how they acted around her. Besides, unemployment was slowly dwindling all over the country

"I'm sure we could figure something out," Adrien mused. "The city is slowly healing after the prison riots. People don't need my help as much... But I still want to do something, you know?"
It wasn't like he was going to take his riches and wealth with him when he died. Just look at his father. Who dedicated his entire life to the company and worked himself into the grave. Adrien wasn't doing that to himself (or Yang). He took breaks, long lunches with Yang, maybe he should try to reach out more to Shadow and Sunshine, and get to know Elsa and Riku better. There was room for improvement. Besides, Yang would like it if he 'made more friends' though that made him sound like some sort of Bruce Wayne shut in.

“You know, you sound a lot like I did when I started law school.”
That was a sincere compliment. The determination to do the right thing was something Elsa respected and appreciated. It was why she sided with Others so much. They had powers and some wanted to use them for good. Some had powers that could be dangerous if handled wrong like she did with her powers over cold and ice.

"Did? That's past tense... What changed?"
Adrien looked at her, puzzled. She did work and defend the BPD from unjust charges. In her free time she apparently dabbled in adoption laws. As far as he knew, she worked hard and defended those who could not defend themselves. Even when no one else would. It's what he liked about her. Or at least liked about her in theory. He didn't know her well, but it seemed they were well on their way to knowing each other better. Besides, she hadn't known him and she had rescued him from the media. No questions asked, just told them to shove off.

“It was a strange time in my life,” she said simply. “I wanted to go to design school while also getting my law degree. I was so hopeful that I could change the world. I could save the world in pursuing my hobby to do something I loved while also appeasing my parents. But, then, well, reality hit me in the face like an avalanche. I couldn’t do both, the stress was making me freeze everything with each step. So I stepped back and, well, you know the rest. I still draw designs, but work for the people comes first.”

"Well, you're an adult now, I think you do both if you really want," he said. "I don't think you should let a hobby go just because you were told you can't."
It seemed like such a waste to have to pick one or another. People were multitalented beings. Take Sunshine for example. She worked as a cop and helped with her family's bakery. Both of those jobs were quite taxing on their own, let alone together. Grueling hours, thankless work, lots of effort going into the products and cases of both. Sunshine somehow made it work. She dedicated 110% to everything that she did (and still managed a social life).
"But do whatever makes you happiest, okay?" he asked.

Elsa fiddled with the crystal pull on her purse. The offer was tempting. She has told Weiss of her dislike of critics, though and it hadn’t change. Being an unpopular advocate was one ting, add fashion o to it and it’d be worse. “If you’d like, I can give you some of my sketches. Maybe decide if they’re runway worthy from there.”

"Do what you're comfortable with," he reassured her. "Who knows? Maybe it'll be a private line just for you."
He didn't mind either way. He was trying to sway Namine to leave the BPD. He could afford to get them a new sketch artist. One that the humans in the office wouldn't treat so poorly because she was gifted or just meek in general. He would make sure to set her hours to something more comfortable for her, pay her better, make sure she was happier. Though, she was under the impression she owed everything to the police officers because they had arrested her father, making convincing her difficult. Sure the Other's Unit treated her like one of the family, but she didn't have to work with them for them to treat her well.

Elsa smiled with a twinkle in her blue eyes. If she could, her designs with Adrien's help could be sold to the general public. Maybe even up there with some of those designers who made bank with their work. "Just to let you know, I was hoping on," she snapped her fingers, unleashing tiny flurries of beautiful snowflakes. They died in the humidity, but the sparkle that remained even as the snow melted, remaimed, 'on embellishing the fabrics with my ice magic. It'll be cheaper than buying rhinestones or crystals to embellish on it, but it also allows customers to receive that 'blingy' look without spending so much money." Would that be too much?

Adrien smiled. A personal touch to her own fabrics. It was rather sweet. It would make each piece individual and special to her because she had some hand in making it the way it was. Plus, magical design application to clothing! It would be a first in their industry if they could get it right, make it so the glamorized fabric didn't lose it's luster in the wash, they would really wow everyone at the next big show. He was suddenly very happy to have run into her. Things were looking quite good.
"Spring and Winter lines do like a lot of glittery fabrics." he said. "Evening wear in particular."

"And with prom seasons coming up, sparkles will catch the eye of so many people. Particularly against pastels!"
Elsa had never felt so giddy and childish as she did now. Talking about fabrics had been so long forgotten beneath legal affairs that she had forgotten how it felt to just be herself. Ralph, Weiss, and Jenna had seen her relaxed, but none of them ever wanted...well, Weiss had maybe, it was a come-go sort of thing.
"That's my...um, how do you fashion people put it...fashion p.o.v.? I wanted to make outfits that were elegant and glamourous without being too pricey."

"I'm sure those would be wonderful," he said. "We can get something going quickly so we can have a line out by prom season."
Adrien smiled. Elsa seemed deliriously happy about this and more excited than he had ever seen her before. If he could do just one small thing to make someone happy, then he was happy. Plus, Elsa's skill sets would make for lots of happy girls during prom season. He was also encouraging Elsa not to give up on a hobby of hers. He was immensely happy to have run across her.
"We can work out details of a partnership for a new line," he said. "Payment, royalties and everything."

Elsa laughed. "Royalties? Adrien, you sound like we're in the United Kingdom or something." After laughing, she set her hand covering her mouth down. But at least she was still smiling. "Okay, fine, we can come to a conclusion about the details."
Deep down, her heart was pittering. Her, a lawyer working for the opposing minority in Bellerouge that seemed to be more of a tourist attraction than people themselves, now making a runway design for prom season. Who would buy them outside of the witches and werecats and different kids of Others she defended or stood up for? But at least her hobby was addressed in a positive way as opposed to one with an arched eyebrow.

"Royalties are for whenever the line is mentioned in like papers or ads," he explained.
His expression softened. She seemed nervous and excited. He felt that way too, the first time he had gone on stage to model. He also remembered how he kept telling himself not to trip or throw up on stage too. He had been absolutely terrified going in front of all the cameras on the catwalk. He managed to do it the first time. After that, it just became so routine he could probably walk on a stage blindfolded and in his underwear, though he had abstained from underwear modeling.
"You're going to do just fine." he reassured her. "I'll be with you every step of the way."
