As much as she hated not knowing what he wanted from her outright, she tried to reassure herself that he wasn't going to abuse this trust she was placing in him. He had, after all saved Omar. At no benefit to himself other than to possibly alleviate some boredom and stick it to the Unseelie court. At least that's what Aqua assumed it was. He hadn't gone asking Omar any favors. So she sighed. Really, she was in no position to barter this. She had no one else to go to in regards of Court knowledge, unless she wanted to further traumatize her boyfriend, which was not on her list of things to do. He had been through enough as it was.
"Okay, deal," she said, "As long as their isn't some... faery blood pact for this."

"Ew, no. Also, it would aggravate my curse. Bloodlust and all that" he waved a hand and looked back at his tests. "Interesting. The sand is mixed with ground bug exoskeletons. Probably what caused the compound to become sticky. Somebody is a bug fanatic. They might be using your stolen electronics for some experiments, or to power up a mutated or supernatural bug, it all depends"

Curse? It seems there was a lot she had to learn about Dorian. She supposed prolonged exposure would help. She was bound to learn a thing or two about him the more they met for her 'Court lessons'. But should she research him the way he sought out information on her? If it was customary... then she supposed she should. She would have time to do that after she and Riku collared the electronics thief. And it seemed Dorian had an answer to that as well.
"Bugs... Oh boy," she sighed. "It's one of the escaped criminals from the prison. Weevil Underwood. Terra and his partner arrested him before I was a rookie."
She wasn't too concerned. The guy was a wannabe criminal at best. During some of their team bonding sessions, Terra admitted that when he arrested the guy it literally took him just pointing his gun in the kid's direction before he burst into tears and surrendered himself, blathering everything he did wrong and everything a few other people had done wrong as well, which led to more arrests. It had been hilarious because Terra's gun contained rubber bullets. They both had a good long laugh about it, sitting at their desk after hours, drinking (perhaps a bit too much) and laughing (too loudly) over the cowardice of the 'hardened' criminal.

"Weevil Underwood? His parents sure had a sense of humor, naming him that. No wonder he turned out how he did" Dorian chuckled. "He might be electrifying his bugs for a shocker to you coppers. I would be cautious when trying to arrest him" he took the glass and put it back in the baggie and handed it back to Aqua. "It was nice having a chat. But I'm not lying when I say I'm bored with the mystery sand solved and would like you to leave"

"Makes it easy to track him down," she mused. "But thanks for your help. I'll try to bring something more interesting next time?"
She had mixed feelings about this entire exchange. Things were weird to say the least and certainly unexpected. Just when she thought she would be one step in the right direction, she felt as if she had been knocked five steps back. Still, she came down to the lab to find out what the sample was. She was successful on that count and others. She gathered up what she needed - namely the remnants of the sample so they had evidence to prove it was him and a print out of Dorian's tests. Police paperwork was tedious like that.
"Have a good evening Dorian," she said.
She headed towards the door, giving him a wave as she went.
