Adeline glanced up. Pitch had messed with Shadow's memories once? He hadn't mentioned that specifically, although she certainly knew he'd done some bad things in the past. It looked like Shadow hadn't entirely forgiven him for it either. He spoke of it coldly, and it made Adeline frown. Not to mention, he seemed to share Yang's hesitation in having her involved in this. She wasn't a cop, and didn't have as much fighting experience as Axel. But she couldn't back down from this. "I've dealt with bad things before," she said, glaring at them. "I've come up against Thrax more than once, plus his girlfriend too. I've learned a thing or two since then." She may have been a scared little kid once, and truth be told, a lot of this did frighten her. But she couldn't be a coward now.
Yang wasn't sure if she liked the look in Adeline's eye. She remembered hearing how she'd fought against Thrax's girlfriend herself, and had ripped out her heart with her bare hands. It had taken quite a few by surprise. With Adeline's magic, her and Axel's flames, Shadow's powers, and Pitch's abilities all stuck in one place, it would be like setting five ticking time bombs next to each other. Shadow brought up a good point, they couldn't get pedestrians caught up in this. "We can clear the area out, as fast as possible," she said. "We find some way to pin him down." She glanced at Adeline. Would a spell be enough to keep Pitch in place, just long enough for them to evacuate whatever area he showed up in? It would have to be a powerful one, and even then, it probably wouldn't last too long.

He was trying to think of something, anything to give them an edge. He didn't like having Adeline involved, but she was the one who came to him for help in the first place. Seeking some way to save Pitch. It was a strange thing for her to be so concerned about a demon like Pitch but he hadn't asked. He hadn't wanted to ask. He wasn't sure he would like the answer.
"There's some little witch girl who helped one of my girls at the bar. Er… Naomi no... Nam... Namaste? No.. That's not it." Axel mused. "Helped her forget some really bad memories. Stuff that would have taken her back to Cruella."
There was no real preparing for what they had to do. Everything was going to go tits up from the moment they went into contact with Pitch.

"Namine?"
It was hard not to snicker at her name being twisted into a yoga term, but Shadow somehow managed to do it. Yet his red eyes had a slight gleam of amusement to them as he corrected her name fr them. The blonde girl had been apparently living in a better situation the last he checked up on her. Putting her in a scary situation was uncomfortable. Yang got through Cruella okay, but he didn't like the thought of anyone else going back to her club. It could be as sophisticated all it wanted, Shadow didn't like the vibe the place gave. It was a zoo disguised as a gala. Adeline was persistent on helping and gave out a laundry list of her feats. She had taken down not one, but two demons - well, Ariel was twisted into being one so that counted - and had walked out of Mina unscatched.
Shadow drummed his fingers in both thought and agitation. "Adeline, you can help us with keeping pedestrians away from the fight. And if anyone gets hurt during the fight, we'll call for you. Does that seem fair?"

That was right. Namine and Pitch both had powers over memories, despite being a gifted human and the other a demon. "You think she might have some input?" Yang asked Axel. It was worth a shot. And Yang had gotten pretty familiar with Namine ever since she and Adrien had found out the two of them were related.
Adeline just hoped Namine didn't get caught up in the fight that was inevitably going to happen. Her friend's confidence had gotten better over time, but she wasn't a fighter. Sketching was more her thing. Shadow tried to offer a compromise: Adeline could be there, her priority would just be keeping pedestrians safe unless Shadow, Yang, or Axel got seriously hurt. She let out a breath. "Okay," she said. "I know you guys can't promise not to hurt Pitch, but..." She let her voice trail off. It was too stupid a wish. Of course Pitch was going to get hurt. They needed to if they were going to pin him down and try to convince this parasite to leave him. Heck, she'd had the same intention when she'd taken him on herself when he'd first changed. But she couldn't help but worry about it all the same. She'd seen Pitch hurt before, when Thrax had used emerald dust on him, and she never wanted to see him that way again.

"I mean, it's possible. We should try to use everything to our advantage. We are going after another demon here."
Though, Axel was better at killing other demons than he was at taking them alive like Adeline wanted. For her, he would try. They certainly had their work cut out for them. He felt bad about getting Adeline involved, even worse for suggesting the meek little blonde who looked faint about going into his bar. But she had done some really good work for his staff. Helping them cope with difficult memories. Of course, she asked permission first. Shyly. He had noticed her gaining more confidence lately.
