PERSONALITY: Aqua’s quite reserved but once she trusts someone, she opens up and cuts back. She’s quite protective over the people in her jurisdiction and does what she can to help them.
BACKSTORY: Aqua was sent to an orphanage after a drunk driver killed her parents, right around the time when the war broke out. Because of her abilities and unusual appearance, she was never adopted. The other children were harshly critical of her and she has low self esteem because of it, but you wouldn't know since she pretends to be happy. She worked to control her magic, change her appearance enough to look human, to go through her day to day life as an adult. After she aged out of an orphanage and took to becoming a cop to help bring justice to other kids like her who no one was ever able to track down extended family after a tragedy. The drunk driver was never caught. It was a hit and run.
Aqua eventually became a rookie cop working with an older cop. Before long, they started dating, but when she found out that he was a dirty cop, she gave him an ultimatum, quit the force or she would arrest him. Needless to say, he quit and they broke up. What Aqua didn’t know was that her boyfriend was one of Vanitas’ victims. He had been possessed, made to care for her, before he started doing bad things. Her partner hadn’t seen her romantically. He was just controlled like a puppet on a string. She hasn’t seen him since.
MISC.: Seelie Faeries are the types of fey folk who do good things for good people like grant wishes, heal injuries, give people good luck and reward people for doing good. Faeries in general have one weakness. Iron burns them. It can be healed through the element they manipulate, for example Aqua would just pour water over her skin and the burn would be gone. Faeries have distinct wings, no two are the same unless they're twins. Faeries use magic called glamours to hide their wings and make themselves look more human.
