"Gumbo, gumbo! I'm gonna make some spicy gumbo! Gonna make it fresh, gonna make it hot, gonna stir it all up right in my pot!"
Anna sang the words to herself happily as she walked down one of the streets of the French Quarter, her hair in two braids and her outfit consisting of a pair of light blue jeans, a pink tank top with an orange octopus on the front, and a pair of old sneakers. Her hands held the straps of several fabric grocery bags, each printed over with images of various cooking utensils and each bulging with a large collection of ingredients. The young medical examiner had just come from one of the local co-ops and was walking at a leisurely pace down the sidewalk, her bags swinging merrily from her hands as she continued to hum her little song.
It's been too long since I've made some fresh homemade gumbo! I hope I remembered everything I need for it.
She continued down the street, almost skipping and happily lost in her own world where quantities of gumbo currently resided.

As Hiro was walking around the town, he felt the sunshine going upon his head and thought it was a nice day to walk around, as the French Quarter was one of those places that some would want to be. He was wearing his usual outfit, which was jeans and a shirt, with of course, his cell phone. He was hearing a young lady singing a song regarding food while walking and it was regarding food. He was watching her going down the street and he thought that her voice did sound fun and jumpy, and he decided to see on where she on where she was going, and although he never met this person before, he thought that she did look fun to chat with. He then blushed, thinking she was cute just by the sound of her voice, but, obviously, she was older than him. Getting to know, an adult would be better so, he would get the feeling of not being alone in the area, and after all, meeting someone from the area would be fun as well. While he was walking towards her, he noticed that some food fell upon the ground, but, was not sure if she would be obviously be needing good from the ground. He obviously wanted to help, so, he picked the food up, and brought them right over to her. "Hey, miss? I believe that these are yours? I mean, I don't think you want these from the ground.." He commented, with a small laughter of nervousness. "So, I guess you're cooking up a meal?" He asked, in interest, willing to start the conversation.

Anna was oblivious to the people walking around her and equally oblivious to the fact that, as she swung her bag, some onions and a bag of okra fell out onto the sidewalk. She would have continued on her merry way and wouldn't have realized the missing food until she arrived at her apartment except that a voice suddenly called out.
She stopped mid-skip and turned on the spot to see a young boy standing a few feet away with the onions and okra in his hands. He walked towards her, asking if the food was hers and if she was going to cook up a meal. Anna blinked once at him before lightly smacking herself on the forehead.
"Whoopsies! Good think you said something or I would have left half my meal behind on the sidewalk!"
Anna then took the vegetables and placed them back in her bag, giving the young boy a bright smile. He had spikey black hair, dark eyes and looked to be no older than fourteen at the most.
"Yep, I'm heading home to make some gumbo!"
She said this with great enthusiasm, once more caught up in the excitement of making a recipe she hadn't done in a long time.

The young citizen noticed that he did stumble upon a young woman with her carrying food, until she accidently dropped it, which was a small mistake, but, he didn't mind helping the young woman pick up the missed food, and as he heard her mentioning that he was around to help her before forgetting anything, he did give out a small shrug. "Hey, its no big deal really, everyone does make small mistakes, believe me, I sometimes drop things when I work on something. Besides, if a food item drops, wash it, so, it could at least nurshable once you cook the items." He commented, with a small smile, handing it back to the young woman. He then noticed that she was giving him a small smile, which made him smile back, with a small chuckle. He then heard her mentioning that she was making some sort of good, called "gumbo." He had heard of that type of food once or twice when he watched his adopted brother watch the cooking channel, and that food came up a couple of times, but, he had no idea on what that was. "Gumbo, eh? I heard of that type of meal, is that some sort of stew? I remembering hearing about it once when my older brother was watching television. I never tried it myself, actually." He replied, with his hand scratching the back of his neck, hoping to give it a try one day, as the meal did sound pretty delicious and tasty. Although his brother did create good meals, Hiro got that idea of him making gumbo stuck in his head now. "I have to say, miss. Sounds like gumbo is a fun recipe to try out. I got to try it someday." As he was starting up the conversation, he forgot to introduce himself in front of the young woman. She was pretty, and she thought of getting to know her a little more, and from her enthusiasm attitude, she did sound like a fun person to be around. "So, who are you, by the way? I'm Hiro." He said, extending his hand out for a handshake, willing to chat with the young woman some more, as she did seem friendly.

Anna continued to smile down at the young boy but the grin turned into a gasp when he said that he had never eaten gumbo before. She looked utterly shocked, like the boy had said something horrific and startling and she clapped her hands to her mouth as if to hide her own shock.
"Never eaten gumbo? Those words should never be used in the same sentence!"
She closed her eyes and shook her head as she continued to speak.
"Gumbo is only one of the most scrumptious, delectable and flavorful dish you could ever sample in the South!"
She licked her lips as if she could taste the very stew she spoke of in that moment before giving a little spin. When she came to a stop, she thrust out her own hand without missing a beat and shook the young boy, Hiro's, hand.
"I'm Anna! Nice to meet you."

The young woman did seem to smile as though she was glad that having a hobby of cooking did make her smile and he compared the happiness to him studying robotic and scientific related articles he either found online or reading something that was similar to those types of subjects. As he saw that she was shocked that he never had gumbo before, he did raise an eyebrow, as thought it was not much of a deal, but, trying new food would at least give him an experiment to try out, and after all, trying to make some new food would be a scientific experiment, especially with a hobby. "Well, miss, like I said, I heard of the meal, but, never tried it. I would, however would like to try it one time. I do have an adoptive older bother who does cook, so, making gumbo could actually be fun to try out, and then, gumbo and trying would be in the same sentence, so, do not worry!" He replied, with writing the idea down on his cell phone. "Question, do you have the recipe for making it? I would like to hear you mention on how you made it!" He offered, as he took out his cell phone to take some notes on how to try this fascinating recipe. As Hiro was hearing her optimism on how gumbo tasted, it sounded as thought it tasted pretty good, and now, he felt his stomach rumbling, and he did want to try it. He did chuckle at her spin, thinking that it was pretty adorable and blushed by the way she was spinning, but, again, she was an adult, and he didn't want to make a move on her, so, he rubbed the blush off his face, not wanting to make it obvious that he did, somewhat developed a small crush on an older woman, but, then, remembered some little girl named Lilo a the park that he did befriend at the time. He then saw her hand extending out as well and he shakes hers as well. "Ah, Anna. A pleasure to make your aquatance." He said, with a small wink and smirked at her. "So, Anna. What else do you do? Besides making the gumbo?" He asked, with a small grin, willing to get to know her a little bit more since Anna did seem super friendly and fun to be around.

"Of course I'll give you the recipe. Just one mo."
And without missing a beat, Anna released Hiro's hand and dub around in her purse, quickly producing a bright green pen and a notepad in the shape of an ice cream cone. She began to jot down on the notepad and didn't say anything for several moments before pulling off the top pad with a flourish. She handed it to Hiro with the same smile on her face as she put the remaining pads and pen back into her purse.
"There you go, one recipe for Louisiana Creole Gumbo!"
With that done, she moved on to answering the young boy's second question.
"I work behind the scenes at the Bellerouge Police Department as the top medical examiner."
Anna suddenly struck a proud pose that looked like it might have been taken from a super hero movie before giving another light laugh and looking back down at Hiro.
"And what of yourself? What do you do to whittle away the hours of the day?"

He was watching her move and he did blush a little, but, she was an adult, and Hiro was a small young boy who did want to at least experience meeting people in the force after all, and although he was only good at making inventions, at least he was able to at least learn about them in order to help the people in the future. He then heard her mentioning that she was going to give him the recipe, and he did give her a grin. He now felt excited to make the meal, and thought that it was time to learn on how to cook, at least with his brother. After all, learning on how to cook would give him an opportunity to learn on how to make something for himself whenever he got hungry, or had any feeling of hunger in his system. As he felt the young lady giving him the paper for the recipe, he took it gently and looked it over and read on what he needed to do in order to make the recipe the right way without making a mistake. He then looked up at the young lady and smiled sheepishly and rubbed his arm. "Thank you, Anna. I feel really excited now to make the meal, again, thank you." He thanked her with a soft smile on his face as he was hearing her answering his question on what she did in Bellerouge; He heard her reveal that she was an medical examiner, and he nodded. Hiro did assume that she went to college and got a degree in the medical field, but, was not sure, but, he imagined that she was smart in medical terminology. He nodded, as though he was interested in hearing that, and could imagine that she could possibly help a lot of people. "Oh wow, that sounds really, interesting. I guess you earned your degree in the medical field, and I can imagine you being a good doctor to help other people." He complimented, with a small smile, and he did give out a small chuckle once he saw that heroic pose, and gave out a small blush once again. "Hey, nice pose, super medical examiner. I can imagine you solving a lot of cases with your knowledge." He said, with a small flirty tone in his voice, and winked at her, in a fun tone. He then heard her asking on what he does in Bellerouge, and tapped his chin on what he liked to do. He knew that she was part of the BPD, so, he had to think of something as though interesting. "Well, I do live at home with an older brother who did adopt me. I do read a lot and make these inventions that I hope one day could be useful in a mission that you guys are on, like a case." He then took out his phone and showed her a picture of one of the inventions that he was was working on. "Well, the inventions that I do work on can detect creature's footprints, to showing on what some supernatural came around the area; Let's say, I did learn all of this from reading and my older brother who got me into designing these robots. I do plan on making something that could help with missions. I do plan on becoming part of the team one day.." He explained, and then he rambled a little bit and put his arm behind his neck, scratching it in embarrassment, not realizing that he was going on, as though he was trying to avoid bragging. "I guess designing the robots do take my time during the day, but, pretty worth it." He commented, and slided to show her the many inventions that he did.

Once Anna had handed over the recipe to Hiro, the young man couldn't seem to stop thanking her before starting to talk about her profession. The way he made it sound it was almost like he thought she was a hero or something. Anna felt a pleasant warmth at that but made a batting gesture as if she were hitting the compliment away to someone more deserving.
"It really isn't that great. I mean, I'm just one link in a long chain that helps people get the justice they and their loved ones deserve. And there are other people at the BPD do more for helping the victims then I do."
She gave a small shrug and even a little laugh when Hiro winked up at her, thinking he was merely being friendly and nothing more. However, her eyes sparkled slightly when he began to talk about what he himself did. And it sounded pretty awesome to her.
"Oh, wow! So you build like devices and machines and tech that look like they could some straight out of a spy movie or something? That's so amazing and quite the accomplishment!"

As he looked up at her, he gave out a small grin, as he could tell that she was accepting his thankful gratitude, and he gave out a small grin, with, yet, another small blush appearing on his cheeks, as he did admire her, not a crush though. Seeing her pose, did make her look pretty heroic, and he gave out a small chuckle as he tried to do the same pose as her. He looked up at her and smiled at her as she was going on about her profession. It did sound interesting and fun to try out a job like that, although a bit awkward working with different bodies, with those who are dead, and of course, with finding different bodies that are either shot or whatever, getting to the bottom on who done, could at least get the crime solved later on, with dealing with evidence later on. He heard a bit more, and he was nodding with interest, as her job did sound pretty fun to do, as he could imagine her working with professional doctors down the road. "Hey, you need to save a lot of people, and being in the medical field does work, in order to help out," He said, with a small look of interest. He then heard her other mention regarding people in the BPD doing more for the victims, and he completely understood. "Ah, gotcha. I know you and the BPD do a good deed by helping out all sorts of people, just like on how you helped me by giving out a new recipe to try!" He complimented, as he took out the recipe and looked it over in a careful manner. He saw her strug and heard her giggle and smiled, thinking it was really nice to see her take something in a fun matter and on top of it, Anna loved on what he did at home, in the meantime. Hearing her compliments, did of course, make him glad that he accomplish something that he would most likely use in the future, well, hopefully when working with the BPD officers one day. He did remember that a friend of his, Yang liked his inventions, and so, why not show them to the officers one day? He heard her question regarding his inventions, and smiled. "Yup! I've been building them for a long time now. I've been wanting to try them out as I want to be an inventor in robotics as my dream job and a lot of people have been complimenting that too, especially my brother, who, of course, got me into the idea of them in the first place," He replied, with a grin, as he was happily showed her the inventions, secretly thanking his brother.
