It was still pretty warm, but Adeline couldn't deny it. Fall was right around the corner. There were more cloudy days than usual and the air was less humid. Soon enough, it would probably get too cold to hang around outside for too long. So, she figured she might as well take advantage of nice days while they lasted. She was finding that getting some fresh air once in a while was doing her some good. Sure, she could get a lot of reading done in her room or at the library. But it felt nice to take a break every once in a while and just unwind from everything. Which was why she was leaning against the railing of of the bridge, gazing down into the water below.

As he was walking around the Riverfront, he was playing on his cell phone but, at the same time, he was looking around at his surroundings to make sure that no other creature was being in the area. He did feel a little chilly, but, luckily, his adoptive brother gave him a jacket to keep warm so, he could be warm while being around and he could at least get some fresh air in the meantime. He did want to at least get out and explore to see what's out there and although he did meet a couple of people, espeicially Yang and some little girl her age who did seem pretty playful, he didn't mind meeting other people as well. He also wanted to take advantage of the fact that the weather was nice for now and he wanted to see some leaves fall onto the ground and see the beautiful colors, which he could do an experiment on taking the color of the leaves and changing it to another color. He then saw a young woman sitting on the railing of the bridge and and saw that she was gazing at the reflection of her water and saw that she did look pretty lonely, so, he walked over with a small sheepish grin, and put his cell phone away, making sure that he would not accidentally trip on a twig or a stick. He leaned against the riverfront as well and looked at her with a small wave. "Hey, nice day, huh?" He started the conversation, with a small grin, trying to start the conversation on a positive note, so, talking about how the weather could at least be a good topic to start, especially on a day like this which was nice to talk about. He saw that the water was really nice to see as well, and although it was a bit dirty as well, he could at least look at it as though it was pretty to at least see the ripples and with the leaves falling in it, he was able to come up with experiment ideas to see the difference between ripples and small waves, especially with different types of water, but, this was mainly a lake not a beach area. Hiro was also making sure that there was no other creatures, just to make sure that again, no other supernaturals were around, and he looked at the young woman, raising an eyebrow, but, she did seem a little friendly enough, let's just hope the introduction would at least go well.

Adeline glanced up when she heard a voice address her. It was a boy, maybe about her age. He seemed sort of...normal-ish. At least, as far as she could tell. Some supernatural creatures were instantly recognizable as not human, like Pitch or Thrax. Some were a little harder to figure out. Adeline was pretty sure she looked normal to most people. But, he seemed nice enough, so Adeline figured she might as well chat with him for a little bit. "Yeah," she said, nodding in agreement. It wasn't freezing cold, but it wasn't unbearably hot either. The weather was, for lack of a better word, just right.

Seeing that the young girl was looking up at him, Hiro did give off a small grin as he was luckily didn't get attacked or anything in that manner. He didn't meet any supernatural creatures luckily, accept for one that looked like an animal passing by, but, only to warn him. He saw that she detected him as a nice young kid not getting into trouble, and so, he decided to chat for a bit with her well. Hearing her respond briefly, Hiro felt the breeze going across his jet black hair and clothes. As he sat down on the bench, he saw something that looked like black tacky goo and he raised an eyebrow. Looks like something was around this area, but, he couldn't make out what. He was not sure if the female was part of the unit, so, he tapped her shoulder as he used a tweezer to take off the goo. "Does this belong to a creature or any sort?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Although the conversation went from something simple about the weather to him being suspicious about finding goo, he needed to make sure that things were safe then sorry. He then took a quick screenshot of the goo and puts it in a bag, and figured that it won't be a perfect time to talk about it; instead, enjoying the weather would be better.

The boy sat down next to her, apparently not put off by Adeline's one-word response. Maybe he was okay with quiet people? Some weren't, and were sometimes put off by Adeline's quiet way of going about things. Most of them didn't realize that she only acted a little more upbeat when she was comfortable around someone. Or if she was with somebody even shyer than she was. Then, she attempted to be a little more outgoing in the hopes of making them feel comfortable. The conversation, however, shifted from the weather to some weird goo that Hiro found. "Not that I know of," she replied, although it did remind her of the slime she and Meredith had found on the apples here some time ago. She doubted it was the same thing though. That slime had only been on the apples in the park. This goo was on the bench, and it looked a bit different. It probably wasn't related to the slimy apple incident. At least, Adeline hoped it wasn't.
