Chat was lying in wait. The officers of the BPD often frequented the kiosk after shifts. So he was waiting for the late night shift. Instead of his cat suit, he wore a black coat and black jeans. He kept the mask and a fedora forewent his usual cat ears. Still, someone would be able to at least guess who he was based on all of the black. He was trying to keep a low profile, while still doing his usual work. It was a lot harder than he expected considering the Elemental Gang was out for his blood. On his person he had a manila folder with detailed pictures of every single thing he stole from Cinder and her gang. He had every item cataloged and appraised for value. Something he stole from Cinder was worth killing over. He wanted to find out what it was. But he wanted to get it to the officer who had saved Yang.
Granted, at this point, any officer that could come into the man was good. He needed some sort of leg up on Cinder, some way to truly cripple her operation and stop her from ever going near Yang again. His rage had nearly blinded him. Took him a while to calm down enough for him to even consider going out to meet with a police officer. He hoped someone came out soon. He wanted to get out of his 'thieving' get up and get something to drink. It was cold outside and a hot coffee sounded great at this point, even if it would keep him up extremely late.

Riku had politely but firmly refused taking time off to deal with his new form. He wasn't going to get anything accomplished by sitting and wallowing in misery because of one curse. His parents had raised a more resilient and strong person than that. He hitched the longer pants up and re-checked the band across his chest that held his pouches of powders. His other powers were cut off, but at least the powders could still be mixed. He'd just have to find a way to beg his sister for some protection charms without her telling his parents that he was now a giant rabbit. He ducked his head as he made his way into the Kiosk, looking for nothing more than some dandelion tea and a large plate of carrot cake. He'd never liked carrots before, but now he was finding they weren't so bad after all. His badge gleamed on his powder sash-belt. While they had found pants that served him fine, shirts had been another matter. He also had to step carefully, finding the larger feet easy to trip over.

Ah. A... rabbit officer. New for the thief but he could swing with the punches. He said any officer would do. This was the first one he had seen all night. He was tired of waiting. He needed someone on Cinder's case yesterday. This was the first time he was going to the police for help. Usually, he went to Shadow and Sunshine as his 'contacts' to the police. Help them on a case here or there, but this time, it was personal. He truly wanted Cinder off the streets. He pissed her off and nearly cost Yang her life. That woman was more and more dangerous the longer she was out on the streets unchecked. He stepped out of his 'hiding spot'. It was really just a dark alley, but he was trying to fit into the darkness.
"Officer?" he called.

Riku's ears swiveled to the new sound and his body flailed as he attempted to quickly turn to address the person talking to presumably him. Given he was the only officer in the area. He forced himself to stop, took a deep breath and slowly turned to face the 'not suspicious looking at all' individual who had addressed him. "What do you need?" he asked, ears swiveling to new sounds and making him want to clap his paws over them to shut the sounds out. "I can help if I can" if he could ever get used to this new body.

"Sorry to bother you with this," Chat said honestly. "But I'm here to talk about a case, if you're willing to hear me out?"
Chat wasn't sure if he could trust this 'rabbit rookie'. Granted, he wasn't exactly the most 'trust worthy' person either. Not in the eyes of the law at least. He was probably the worst person to talk to about morality. It was his own mistakes that got Yang in over her head. He was doing this for her after all. That was why he was going to the police. Hell, if they asked him to turn himself over after they did the case, then he would do it, as long as they promised Yang's safety.

"What case and why are you coming to me? I'm just the newbie on the force" although maybe there was nobody else? Pitch and Shadow were still living through Sapien effects, Aqua was busy and detached from everything, and he didn't know the others very well but they were probably busy too. "But sure, I'm willing to listen. If you'll let me take it to my superiors after if I feel they need to see or hear it, of course" Riku added. He most likely couldn't handle this alone. If the suspicious guy in black was willing to come to any cop for help, it had to be pretty heavy.

"I wanted to speak with Officer Black on the matter," Chat said. "He made an arrest regarding the case. But... I'm not exactly anyone's favorite in your department. So I'll take what I can get at the moment."
Honesty. Chat knew people wouldn't generally believe him if he said something but he was willing to give forth anything at this point. Cinder was too dangerous to be left unchecked. She could even go after Yang or one of her kids. Chat would never forgive himself if they got hurt. Or rather more hurt than they already had been. Yang was likely to never forgive him for leaving like that. She would burn him up for sure if he even stepped foot near her place.
"All I need for you to do is give Officer Black some evidence to help him make the case against the Elemental Gang." Chat said.

"I think Black is a little tied up with other things at the moment" Riku said, shrugging. "But I can totally relay a message and evidence" That much he could do. All he had to do was turn his big bunny butt around and go back to the department and drop the evidence off at Pitch's desk. Easy. "If you're not people's favorite, I'm guessing you're a law breaker. You must be pretty desperate. Did the Elemental Gang do something to get to you? They're usually...not so in the open about things" And a newbie like him probably shouldn't have anything to do with them. Then again, a newbie like him shouldn't have anything to do with someone like Vanitas either, and here he was. A giant rabbit. He was going to hear about this from Aqua for sure.

"It's an active case. I'm sure he'll look at it," Chat said.
He was confident that Pitch would look at it. He saved someone over it after all. Arrested another person over it. Attempted murder. Chat dipped his head a little. His hat hooded his eyes, burning with a silent sort of fury. He couldn't lose control now or he would disintegrate the file before he even passed it to the police officer. Honestly, this was the most serious he had been since donning the mask. Normally, he was cracking jokes or puns.
"Haven't caught me yet, Officer. The name is Chat Noir." he introduced. "As for the Elemental Gang... I did something to them first. I'm a thief. I stole something they almost killed someone over, but I don't know what. So I brought pictures, appraisals and estimates for Pitch to look over."
It was probably dangerous to give this information over so easily to just anyone. It could paint a target on the young officer's back if the gang were to find out but he had made sure he wasn't followed. He had a copy of the file that he was handing over to the young man on a flash drive. In case things were to become... compromised. The Elemental Gang was a crime organization so naturally, they did not deserve anything they had.

"I have no doubt in that case" Riku's ears perked up at the reveal of the young man. He'd heard about Chat! The gentleman thief. He was wanted for stealing several valuable items. And an annoyance because he apparently charmed women. But right now wasn't the time or place to attempt an arrest. "I'll get it to Pitch in two shakes of a tail" Riku promised, smiling slightly at the term he'd used. It was kind of funny now that he had a big fluffy bunny tail. "We'll figure out what they want and we'll stop them, Chat. No more attempted murder on their part, hopefully" The rabbit gave the young thief a smile and reached out a hand, waiting for the files.

Chat couldn't help but quirk a smile over the 'shake of a tail' joke the officer made. He could really grow to like the guy. Perhaps he would switch his 'contact' in the police force. At least someone had a liking for bad jokes. He shook his head before passing over the file. He had used the highest resolution camera money could buy, detailed to the finest and got the items appraised (all out of pocket). He wanted Cinder gone. Mostly because he missed Yang something fierce. She would never want to talk to him again after his little stunt but she would be safe. The thought of never seeing her again was painful, but knowing he was the reason for her near-death experience was even worse.
"Maybe you could also do me another favor?" Chat asked. "The person they went after... It was my fault. I had been playing favorites I guess and they seemed to think that she knew who I am. And I just... if you could set up a patrol unit outside the Stella theater I'd be forever grateful."
Granted, he had to keep up appearances. Chat and Adrien were two separate beings as far as anyone was concerned. He had to keep it that way. Yang was... his first and only true friend. He had never been that close to anyone before.

Riku frowned slightly. "If your friend is living in the Stella Theater, I can get her and whoever else living there into proper living conditions and guard that if you want. I...uh....used to be fairly wealthy and I still have a good portion of wealth from a doting relative" he was uneasy revealing he was a Lafayette, even a disinherited one, because of the way he looked. He couldn't imagine a thief really interacted with the upper class but he really didn't want his sister to find out he was a giant rabbit just yet. "I'll get my partner to help patrol the area and we'll watch over them ourselves. You'd like her, she's very trustworthy. Her name is Aqua" He took the file and tucked it under one arm. "Anything else you need, Chat? I've got time to help out, as long as it's legal" he smiled. "Could even buy you something from the kiosk. Fur is warm, so I'm fine, but I hear tonight is a bit chilly"

"She'll literally light you on fire if you try it," Chat replied. "She... really doesn't like charity."
She hated how Chat dropped by with really nice things, things she thought she should have been able to supply for herself or her kids. Her independence streak was part of the reason he liked her so much. She took crap from no one, not even him. She playfully punched him a few times, still, he was glad those hadn't left marks because she could really hit if she wanted to. He sighed. He really missed her. He wondered what she was doing now. Was she reading a book, curled up and warm under the blankets he brought? She probably burned the clothes out of spite, just as a big F you to Chat for leaving the way he did. He hoped not. He really wanted her to be warm when winter hit.
"A coffee, if you don't mind," he said. He reached into his jacket and handed Riku some cash. "Er, the money is legally obtained. I swear."
And it was. He just felt the need to defend it since he did just declare himself as a thief after all.

"Oh. Okay. But it wouldn't be charity. I would expect her to pay me back in some form or another" She could be an informant, or something. Riku didn't mind giving away some of his money, he just wanted people to be safe. "I mean, a house is a lot of money, and I'm already paying for mine so" he shrugged. "Do you think your friend would be alright with that arrangement? She'd only have to pay of half. I mean winter IS coming and not everyone has a coat like mine" He rubbed a hand over his chest and chuckled. Riku took the money with a nod. "Sugar or anything to that?" he laughed and shrugged. "Okay, I'll take your word for it. It's not like I can prove otherwise anyway"

"She wouldn't do that. Ah, listen, I know a guy. He'll foot whatever bill for this you ask." Chat said. "Or ask a favor of me? Just don't let her see you or let her know you're there. She's got kids living with her."
He would have to do it as Adrien. He could take care of whatever expense this young officer wanted for the job, as long as someone looked out for Yang. He would almost prefer he ask for money or some sort of favor he could perform as Chat Noir. Something that he could do. Keep Yang out of any more trouble than she absolutely needed. She had the kids to worry about. She would be even more furious if she found out that Chat was sending people to look in on her when he couldn't even do so himself. He wanted to. Really, he did, but it was for her own safety. He'd rather be lonely than know that he had gotten her hurt.
"Just creamer." he said. "And thanks..."
