"Jeez..." To have that much power, it almost seemed unbelievable. But, in a way, Yang understood what Shadow meant. She remembered feeling like that, when she had taken out Gavin, Belle, and every gangster they had brought with them. She had lost all control over her fire powers, and it had resulted in everyone being wiped out within a second. It was almost no wonder, that Frollo considered her a danger to society. Not only had she brought up her kids in questionable conditions and gotten into trouble with the police, she had killed a good amount of people all by herself. The incident had haunted her for a long time. She hadn't lost control like that since then, and she was determined not to. She didn't want to be responsible for something like that ever again.

There was some kind of strange connection that happened in that one word. Shadow lowered his hand onto the table, and the inhibitor ring just seemed to glow. Of all people to get what it was like, he did not expect a young half-Phoenix kid. At the same time, Shadow should have seen the connection coming. Phoenix fires were intense, even more so than dragon fire when let off the chain. Shadow had never killed anyone with his powers, at least not intentionally, but the right saying or even the right action would have them seeing bright yellow then an intense barrage of hits. He could see the look of a past event flash her eyes, and rather than say anything to scare her, he just nodded. Chaos was like fire times ten, just an inch higher than uncontrolled fire. He was surprised he hadn't gone on a rampage like Yang yet, and he wanted it to stay that way

Shadow didn't say anything in reply, but he seemed to understand what Yang was thinking, without saying a word. In a way, they were both like bombs, and if someone lit their fuse, they couldn't do anything to stop themselves from exploding. It was a scary thought, to say the least. But Yang felt like something like that wouldn't happen again. Things would be different now, better. And speaking of different, she had to get back to her kids, and explain how things were going to be different from now on. "I should probably go," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I gotta have a long talk with my kids." Truthfully, she wasn't sure how they would take it. They loved living the way they had so much, especially Louie. They had felt free, and safe. Yang hoped she could make them understand why she was doing this, that it was the best thing for them. And if any of Cody, Penny, and Jenny's relatives could be found, Yang was sure they would be happy to see them. At least, she hoped they would.

The silent conversation between them lasted for two minutes. Kind of amazing how just looks and movements of the head could say a lot. Just the quiet promise of being there for her kids, helping out when he could. Yang said she had to head out, and Shadow made no motion to stop her. "I'll book us some practice at Beacon. And give the kids my regards." ((End thread))
