Moses gave a low whistle. "Frollo's such a dick" he said with a snort. "Someone should do something about him one of these days. Maybe a stern talking to or firing the jerk would do it" Moses was also thinking along the lines of Frollo kicking the bucket, but he refused to go any farther down the road of where how and when. It just fed his bad side. He smiled and nodded. "Glad your kids are safe and glad you are too Yang. I'm happy everything worked out for you, you know?"

Yang laughed. "Believe me, I'm pretty sure Shadow and Sunshine are having something like that in the works." Shadow seemed especially pissed off at what Frollo had done. Yang wasn't sure if it was because he had clashed with him before, but regardless, she was glad to have someone like him on her side. Not everyone was lucky enough to have a strong, angry hedgehog-looking guy as a friend. "Yeah. I was almost wondering if it would. But Shadow and Sunshine worked wonders. And Elsa too. She was really nice." It almost seemed ironic, considering the woman was a lawyer, and had ice powers. You'd think someone like that would be doubly cold. But, she was just the right person to help figure out the legalities of Yang's case, and her kids. Yang was glad to have become friends with her.

"Oh good. I like those two, they're good cops" Moses nodded at her continuing statements. "I've heard good things about Elsa" he said thoughtfully. "Heard she's awfully nice despite being a lawyer. Just a bit reserved at times. Glad you got someone like her on your side" He smiled at her. "So, anything else been good for you lately? Have you found a special someone in your life?" he teased

"Yeah. I have good luck when it comes to them," Yang agreed. She was thankful for that. Hopefully, her good luck would hold out for a bit while she tried to get some kind of job she liked. She still wished she could make a career out of fighting somehow, she just wasn't sure what. She needed to think about her options. When Moses asked about a "special someone" she gave a laugh, although her mind instantly thought of Chat. Ever since he had run off all those months ago, she hadn't seen him, not once. She still wished she could get in contact with him, but she had no idea how. All she knew was that he randomly showed up to help cops every once in a while. Other than that, he worked alone. And she wasn't about to go running all over the city, hoping to run into him. The very idea sounded exhausting. Besides, would he even want to see her again? He had broken things off with her, after all. And she hadn't even realized she had fallen for him until some time afterwards. "Let's just say my love life's on hold for the moment," she said. "Pretty sure some certain officers might get steamed if I used my flirting skills to get stuff." Or, even get out of trouble. She recalled doing it to Jim once, after he had caught her pick-pocketing. She hadn't seen him since, although she hoped she wouldn't encounter him anytime soon. Explaining what she had done to her few cop friends might be a little embarrassing.

Moses nodded. If it were anyone to make Yang at least tolerate cops, it would be those two. "Yea, my love life's taken a halt too" he admitted. Vanitas was in jail. There was nothing to be done and it all was Moses' fault. Well, okay. Vanitas had kidnapped those girls. But other than that, it was Moses' fault. Although if he hadn't Vanitas might have ended up dead...it was all so messed up. Moses laughed. "Yea, that's kind of a no-no. But if you were able to charm yourself some stuff you could probably charm your way out of trouble too"

"Aw, really? I thought you'd have tons of admirers with your stunning good looks," Yang teased. True, Moses was more of the solitary sort. But he was nice and was always willing to listen to her when she had problems. Surely somebody in this city would like that, right? When Moses mentioned her probably being able to charm her way out of trouble, she gave a little laugh. "I do admit, it saved my butt plenty of times," she said. "Although, I didn't mind settling things with my fists either." Sometimes, flirting only got you so far with someone, and the only way to make them listen was to punch them in the face.

"And with your good looks I would have thought you'd be mayor of the city" he teased right back. "Although I would be worried, every time you got frustrated you'd probably punch someone in the face" he laughed at the thought. Moses looked down at his hands in thought and then back up at her. "I should probably grab my coffee now, it's probably about time you went back to work as well" he told her.

Yang snorted. "That sounds like a great idea," she said sarcastically, although she still smiled. "The whole city would probably be in flames in minutes." Sure, Yang could lead a small group of children. But a whole city? She'd leave that to the professionals, even if she thought some of them were a bit crooked. She glanced at the clock. Moses had a point. She had been on break for a while. It was time she got back on the clock. "Guess so. Somebody's gotta make sure nobody gets burned pulling stuff out of the oven," she joked as she finished off her sandwich with one more large bite. "It was good talking to you, Moses. We gotta stay in touch, okay?" She didn't want to go another several months before chatting with him again. Although, now that they were working in the same place, maybe it would be a bit easier this time.

"It would be glorious chaos" he murmured, eyes going black for a moment before he winked at Yang. "Joking, I'm joking. I just think you short yourself. You'd burn it down in a week, not minutes" he grinned, eyes dancing with laughter. "Alright, I'll get my coffee and scram. I don't want to be put to work on my day off" he got up and nodded. "We should be seeing more of each other so hopefully we can talk more" he said.

Yang nodded. "Right. See you later." She gave a wave and a smile before heading back to the kitchen. It seemed like there was a lot to be done: cookies to ice, marshmallows that needed toasting, and beignets that needed some powdered sugar thrown on them. Yang rolled up her sleeves. "No time like the present," she muttered to herself before diving back into work.
