"Well, when you want a job done right, you do it yourself." Jane chuckled, amused.
That might have been the icing on the cake, but Red certainly did things with a certain flare. A real firecracker. Jane was probably laughing a little more than she should have, but she was mildly tipsy. And Red certainly did seem to enjoy her work as a bounty hunter. It was good work. Picked up the slack of the police force at least.

"Exactly!" Red pointed at Jane and nodded, agreeing completely. "I thought 'well if they ain't gettin him, might as well' helped that the money was pretty good too. It'll pay rent fo a couple months at least" she smirked. "Only thing that rat bastard was good fo, payin my rent"

Jane took a sort of vindictive pleasure out of the fact that the guy was no better than Red's meal ticket. Or in this case, rent. At least there would be some use for him instead of just locking him away and throwing away the key. That's all the use society would get out of this guy now that he was behind bars. He couldn't work. He couldn't provide. He was a leech. Might have been better if he had died in a shootout or something. Granted, Jane didn't know his crimes, but she knew that Vanitas deserved that fate.
"So aside from taking out the trash, what do you do in your free time?" Jane asked.

"Dance in graveyards. Drink. Make contracts ,that sorta thing. Help the police if they need it. I try ta keep busy" Red stood up and stretched before fishing out the needed money and a generous tip for the bartender. "I'm done fo th night. I'm goin back ta th graveyards if anybody needs me"

"Uh, yeah, have a good time." Jane said with a slight smile.
The dancing in the graveyards part threw her a bit, but to each their own. They all had to get in the kicks somehow, she supposed. It just seemed like even though Red just took a break, she was throwing herself right back into work. Which was both admirable and concerning. Was she going for new contracts? Or to do a dance with whatever spirits were there? Jane didn't know. She didn't think it was polite to ask, but she fished out her own wallet and paid her tab.
