His second song was almost a relief. It was much more... Omar-ish. If that could even be considered possible. The hard rock and heavier guitars seemed more his speed, but he was good at the slower song too. His adaptability to the two genres was to be commended. Though she wondered if she should take the lyrics at face value or if there were reasons Omar played the songs? She shook her head. Too sober for this she determined. But still she was nursing her first drink (for Namine's sake).
She leaned back in her seat and took another drink. So much for staying for only one song. It wasn't like she had anywhere else to go, or anyone waiting for her for that matter. A recent beep from her phone, alerting her to a text message told her that Jane was taking Namine out for dinner.

Omar continued singing, noting that Aqua was still there so he couldn't have messed up too badly. He was singing the second song just for himself, because he liked it and just wanted to sing it. Presently it also came to a close and he started in on other songs. It was a mash of pop made punk, hard rock, a few slow songs thrown in for good measure and his favorite song to sing because it reminded him of Cindy; Glassy Skies.
"The mystery of it I recall Suddenly the truth will change the way we fall I didn't wanna hurt you, hope you know Empty promises, shattered dreams of love Sometimes I wonder what's beyond
I tried many times to make it up to you Can somebody tell me what to do? Thought we're meant to be There's no going back Time has already come Sun is gone and no more shadows Can't give up I know and this life goes on I'll be strong I'll be strong 'til I see the end
Glassy sky above As long as I survive You will be part of me Glassy sky the cold The broken pieces of me Glassy sky above Covers over me, over me..."

Omar's third song rolled right along. He slipped right back into his softer tone. Aqua decided it was probably to spare his voice. Too many loud screaming songs and he would lose his voice. If he performed for a living his voice was probably the most important thing he had. Aqua found she liked the softer songs to the louder ones. Omar had a gentle voice when he wanted to.
But his song made her chest sting. It was probably personal to him, but she was reminded of Terra. Her first love. Her human love. Vanitas had confessed to killing him. But didn't say where his body was or how he did it. All that he said was that he had used Terra, possessed him and made him do all the bad things he had been accused of. Aqua didn't know what was worse - doing those things and being forced to watch or knowing there was nothing he could have done.

Omar played a few more soft songs and one last rocking one before finishing his set. "Good job guys" he complimented his band as they finished and began packing up. He put his guitars in their cases and loaded the electric in the van with the other band equipment to go to the loft they practiced in. He picked up his old acoustic in it's case and walked over to Aqua with a big, if slightly sheepish, grin on his face. "I embarrassed you, I'm sorry. He noticed a slightly pained look on her face and concern came over his. "Was the music that bad?"

Aqua had stayed where she was, even as the bar mostly started to wind down from the performance. Some people left, some people returned to their tables and their drinks. She remained at the bar top, waiting where Omar left her. Not like he couldn't find her. He had said so himself. Her hair stood out. She debated using glamour to change it, but it wouldn't feel right.
"Ah, no it's... Nothing," she reassured him. "You're very good at bringing out the emotion in your songs. That's all."
She didn't want to talk about Terra. He had consumed enough of her life for a human. Though it was harder to let go than she thought. Her acting upset only seemed to trigger Omar's natural protectiveness.

He smiled at the compliment but his green eyes continued searching her face. He had a feeling there was more she could have said, but did he really want her to? If she didn't say it it was for good reason. He knew she wasn't always single, from Namine, but Namine wouldn't go into details. He imagined she probably felt like he used to about Cindy. Sad and trying not to talk about it for fear it'd bring everyone down. He decided to let it go and spare her her feelings. "When you're done drinking I can walk ya home" he offered.

"I can get myself home," she replied politely. "But thank you."
Namine told her how she met Omar. The little blonde had to when Aqua saw how friendly they were after Aqua arrested him. And for the little blonde, having the escort helped her confidence. She was too afraid of the shadows to be left alone. But Aqua typically flew everywhere she went and more often than not. She glanced down at her glass before back up at the troll - her roommates new father. A strange notion to get through her head. But when it came to immortals, things were never that easy.
"Do you make a habit of walking women home?" Aqua asked.

"Well the offer stands if you ever need it" he replied easily. He waved a hand and shook his head. "You make it sound like a bad thing. Namine I instantly thought that she was so small and trembling someone might grab her" his eyes darkened slightly. "I was right but that's not the point. And you're a friend of Namine's so I thought I'd extend the courtesy" he leaned against the bar and shrugged at her. "Anyway. I've been thinkin about this for a couple hours now, and I kinda think I should ask" no getting around it now. He took a deep breath. "Do you want to go to dinner with me and talk? I mean, I should apologize for my behavior and all so what do you say?" he was most likely going to get shot down.

"Thank you." she said. "For the offer and for Namine."
Aqua's pride would keep her from taking Omar's offer. She had been looking after herself since her parents died. The unadoptable faery who fell for a human in the human world, but not able to fit into the faery one. She had to look out for herself. Be strong. But as for their shared interest in the blonde girl, it was because of Namine's fear of everything that Aqua got involved. The girl had been ready to scare herself into an early grave based on her own fears. "Wait, what?" Aqua asked in surprise. "Why would you want to have dinner with me?"

"No problem. And Namine's one of my girls now, I'm totally fine with helping with her whenever you need. From pep talks to walks home, I'm all about making her and Jane happy" Omar raised an eyebrow and gave Aqua a look. "Why not?" he asked. There were a few different ways that reaction could be taken, like for instance the faery thought herself too good to go to dinner with the lowly troll. But Omar refused to think like that. "I want to get to know you better and in this day and age going to dinner seems to be the accepted way to do it. I mean, we could do it more old fashioned but..." he trailed off and looked at her again. "I think dinner's easier"

"You're a better father figure than her real one." Aqua said.
Aqua was so happy for Namine. The little blonde finally had someone in her life who was such a good influence on her. Namine's true father was didn't even deserve the title sperm donor. Omar was a huge step up, record and all. Namine only had nice things to say about the man. But Aqua honestly thought he was just being nice to her because of Namine.
"It-It's - You don't like the police and well, I mean, I arrested you!" Aqua tried to explain quickly.

"So I've gathered" he commented dryly. she was honestly a good girl. But he could only imagine what her dad had done to make her the shaking little leaf of a girl she was today. Omar waved his hand dismissively. "I like the police better with Shadow and Sunshine on the force. You don't seem half bad and I brought it on myself you having to arrest me. I said I wanted to know you better and I wanted to apologize and both are true. So I'm asking again; will you go to dinner with me?"

Aqua looked down at the bar top. It was just dinner. Nothing bad could really come from such an innocent request. He probably wanted to get to know her because she was housing his 'daughter' Namine. That thought was a bit comforting. He might actually be okay with them, like he said, since the BPD went to bat for him when Vanitas grabbed Jane and Namine. So she looked back up at him with a small smile.
"Okay. I'm free next Tuesday," she said. "If that's okay with you?"

"Tuesday works just fine. Not later than eight though. I got a gig. But...does six work for you?" he had nothing going on at six so it seemed like a good time to grab dinner with her, if she was free. He waited for her to give him a yes or a no and if a no a different time they could have dinner. Omar grinned. "I'm looking forward to dinner then, Aqua" he gave her a thumbs up. "By the way, nice chatting with ya. It was cool"

"Of course." Aqua confirmed.
The last thing she wanted to do was to get in the way of his livelihood. His gigs were important. The way he made his living. She would not interfere with that - if she could help it. She paused and took a napkin from the counter top. With a pen she scribbled her number down. This felt... strange to do. She didn't passed out her phone number to just anyone. She gave it to Riku, but he was her partner. He had to know how to get a hold of her in case of emergencies. Namine had it because she was her roommate. After a moment of deliberation, she passed it over to him.
"So we can work out the details." she said. "It was nice to see you too, Omar."
