He raised his hands. "Whatever you want. But absolute power corrupts absolutely. I've seen it many, many times. Be careful with what you want. You might be biting off more than you can chew. Especially if you've never had any power before" He raised an eyebrow. "I have every faith you can handle it, but be careful. You're playing with fire if all you want is power. What other goals do you have? Me for instance, I strive to be the best musician out there but my main goal is to give people entertainment. I serve. It's what I do. What do you do, sad eyes?"

"What else is there to want?" Weiss asked. "Once I'm the voodoo queen, nobody can boss me around anymore. I'll be the one calling the shots, instead of my parents. I'll be in control. That's what everyone who's worried about me wants to have, and I'll get it if I can make this happen." Really, the solution to her problems was simple, in her mind. Sure, the road getting there would be rough. But once she was the voodoo queen, everything would change. She would be in control and she wouldn't feel so miserable all the time. She'd be happier, and being in charge would make her forget all the bad stuff that had happened to her family over the years.

He snorted and shook his head. The naivete of the young and mostly innocent. "If all you want is power the price isn't worth it. There are other ways to get power. Voodoo can lead to some dark paths if you ain't careful. So really think about your end goal and get back to me. Find another way to be in control, or find another reason to justify what you want" He patted out a rhythm on his guitar and hummed a beat forming in his head. His whole world was music. "Power should be a bonus, not an end goal"

Weiss frowned. Omar just didn't get it. This was a sure-fire way of getting out of her situation. Every other option, who knew if it would actually work? This way though, there was absolute certainty that she would succeed. And she'd rather take the option that led to higher possibility of getting what she wanted. "Sure. Whatever." Omar still sounded concerned, but she refused to let it bother her. She was going to do things her way, even if she was alone in doing it. She'd been alone a lot in her life. She was used to it. She was about to walk away, but she suddenly stopped. She thought for a moment, then fished into her pocket and tossed a ten into Omar's guitar case. She may not have gotten him to understand, but he at least deserved that much for listening. She hurried off after that, her shadow spirits silently following her. Weiss wasn't sure how much of the conversation they had heard, or even what their opinion of it was. Either way, they wren't about to judge her for what she was doing. And that made her feel a little better.

Omar shook his head. This girl was going to get consumed by darkness if she wasn't careful. "Be careful sad eyes" he said and nodded as she threw a ten into his case. He watched her walk away and began singing and playing again. Before long there was a crowd around him again, and Omar was playing his music again. But for quite awhile he was thinking about Weiss and the dark path she was on. He hoped she could get someone to protect her at some point.
