Namine nodded slowly. She took the bottle and put it back in the basket. She knew how bad stress headaches could be. There were times where she had drawn the drapes shut, turned off all the lights, and laid in a little miserable ball on her bed because her head had hurt so badly. She couldn't say how other people reacted to headaches. Her roommate kept her pains to herself. Her father resorted to drinking. She didn't see many healthy ways of dealing with stresses. At least Anna wasn't drinking profusely.
"I-I hope it helps," she said.

"Yeah, I'm sure it will."
She took another drink from her coffee, wishing she had met Namine when she was feeling better. Even without the headache, she was far from her usual self and most people had picked up on that easily. However, other then Namine no one else had bothered to ask her what was wrong, maybe sensing that she didn't really want to talk about it.
Anna fished around for a topic to try and lighten the silence.
"So find any good books yet?"
As she said this, she fell back on one of her old habits and began to fidget with a piece of her hair. However, as she did this the white streak that had appeared in her hair overnight became obvious. She didn't seem to notice that anything was amiss, however.

"A few." Namine said softly.
Her search had proven better there than at the library. The library had basic spell books, but more geared towards children who were coming into their powers. Namine wanted something with a little less with the simple terms and learn things right and proper. Without being made to feel stupid for it. It wasn't her fault her powers suddenly started acting up. She looked up at Anna. She frowned. Anna's hair had been such a pretty shade that the odd white streak should have been noticeable before, but Namine supposed she had been distracted.
"D-Did you d-do something with your hair?" she asked.

"Something with my..."
It was only then that Anna remembered that the hair she had been fidgeting with was pure white. She had noticed it that morning when she first looked into her bathroom mirror. And although she had been surprised and somewhat worried by the sudden change in hair color, she'd tried to push it aside with the reasoning it was a side effect from the serum.
However, she wasn't about to tell Namine that and instead gave a somewhat nervous laugh, flapping her hand at the young woman's question as if it could be brushed aside.
"Oh, this? It's nothing! I was just trying something new with my hair and accidentally ended up bleaching this part but no worries! The color will come back eventually."

"U-Um, o-okay?"
The streak was unusual. Anna's response was odd. This whole conversation bordered strange. Namine didn't know much about hair, except how to draw it. Different types for different descriptions and how to make the drawing flatter the subject. She went for accuracy in her drawings. So she couldn't tell if Anna's hair mishap was a trick of the light or just an accident like Anna claimed. The blond smoothed her hands over the edges of her dress, a churning feeling filled her stomach and she no longer felt as hungry as she had been before. Her brownie would be untouched until she got home later.

Despite this being a pretty good and believable lie in Anna's opinion, Namine didn't seem to buy it but at the same time didn't question it either. She glanced down at the table before hastily finishing off the last of her coffee. She then stood up, gently picking up Pascal and placing him in the bag sitting on the floor beside her chair.
"Listen Namine, I really have to go. This headache is getting pretty bad. I should probably just go home and sleep it off. Sorry..."

"O-Oh, um, okay." she said. "I h-hope you feel better!"
She got to her feet when Anna did. She did still have a few errands to run. Anna was naturally busy and if she wasn't feeling well, the little blonde would be the last to keep her there against her will. She offered Anna a smile. The other woman didn't feel well, Namine sincerely hoped that a little bit of rest and time off would help her bounce back from whatever bug had her down. It might have been the sinuses. The weather was so finicky recently, with summer coming in full blast.

"Thanks Namine. I'll see you around, ok?"
Anna managed to give the sketch artist a smile and a little wave before she turned on her heel and headed out of the bookshop. Despite the throb that was beginning in her temples, she had a lot on her mind. And she couldn't help but feel somewhat angry. Namine might think it best to try and make up with Shadow and Axel, but she wasn't sure if she could.
And as she let her feelings of anger mount towards the two, she didn't notice that the streak of white in her hair seemed to be growing....
