"Just so long as no demon lords crash the party," Sunshine half-joked. Catering for the Lafayette ball was supposed to be the family's shocking break for the upper class. Instead, a monster ruined any chances of making a decent review. She could already picture the amount of dislikes on food critic reviews. Maybe having a Agreste host would get them back up.
Shadow gave a half smile. Yang's inevitable trauma needed something other than moping. When he hung out with her, the depression had been like a fog, and the fear of the media replaced that. Adrien giving her a vacation? That was what she needed. Yeah, she might not have liked people going out of their way, but this was what she needed to learn, that she couldn't shoulder everything alone. It was something he needed to learn himself

"Security will be it's finest." Adrien reassured Shadow.
Security at Agreste events always were. Adrien's father spared no expense on security. Adrien now understood why. He had broken his leg under a fallen chandelier and would have been helpless to get away if not for police involvement. Healers took care of him and he walked just fine without any indication of a break. But it had been sheer luck that anyone had even been there to help him at all. To help him or to help Yang. So no, he would follow his father's suit and get the best of security money could buy and keep their events as safe as possible. Not that he was going to completely ban demons. Some of them were good.
"You... guys probably know Yang better than I do," Adrien admitted. "Is... there anything she likes?"

"Spicy food." Both cops said this at exactly the same time. That discovery had helped through some tough times. Not just the Sapien scare, but having a chance to do something besides sit over coffee at Nevermore.

"Spicy food." he repeated.
He probably could have figured that out by the way she added red pepper flakes to her pizza when they ordered in. She liked getting him to break his 'model' diet. There would be lots of food on their vacation - new things Yang might not have been able to have before or different things. She would want him to relax to. Probably not think about his company while he was on vacation with her so he needed things to occupy his mind too. The fact that he would be alone somewhere with a really pretty girl was not helping any.
"Anything else she likes? If we're going on vacation... So I want her to have fun the whole weekend. Is there something she likes doing or something she's wanted to but couldn't?" he asked.

"Well, don't do anything in the wa-Ow!"
Sunshine's suggestion was cut off by Shadow elbowing her. That little poke made her realize her mistake. Of course. The whole 'nearly getting drowned by Cinder' thing. That and well, Yang's mom had died via water. With all the trauma she had been going through, reminders were not exactly the best. Getting the hint, the blonde cop cleared her throat.
Shadow finished his quizzical look at his partner. This was going to be an interesting conversation for all three of them. Now that they were on equal ground, it was tough seeing Chat Noir as the pretty playboy model. However...was that a zit forming? Hmm, maybe Yang got to him to break from the boring diets. Good.
"She's always been an adrenaline junkie. Whatever kind of sport or competitive activity is available for wherever you want to go, sign her up."

"Water?" he guessed. "I won't do anything like that. It's supposed to make her happy, not stressed."
He knew about Cinder almost drowning her. Adrien thanked his lucky stars that Pitch had been nearby to save her. He had almost lost her and hadn't even been able to do anything to save her. She had almost died because she wouldn't tell Cinder about him. Cinder was dangerous and unstable. As much as Adrien wanted her off the streets, he would have to hand over all the information he had on the woman to the dynamic duo he had trusted his identity with. He knew that bringing Yang to water was likely as successful as trying to bathe a cat. Hydrophobic was the word he would use for that, which exed out some beaches.
"Competitive and active. Got it. Thank you. I really appreciate this." he said. "And uh, could I ask a favor? If the media starts sniffing around for her, could you keep them off her back? She doesn't need that sort of stress. And trust me, they're going to start looking for my... mystery girl."
He already had fan letters pouring in varying from - 'she's such a sweet girl and I hope you two are happy together' to 'how dare you? I loved you first!' and other psychotic threats. He would have to get those letters to the BPD too in case any of his fans tried something against Yang. One step forward and two steps back it seemed. Just when he thought he'd get his plate cleaned up, he would be even more overwhelmed by something else that happened. But if fan mail started coming in for her, he would censor it and give her the nicer letters.

Both cops were able to sigh after dodging the awkward bullet. Well, really, Sunshine did. She twisted a handful of hair in her left hand, just looking at the tile. She hadn't been on talking terms with Chat or Yang as much as Shadow had, and it was starting to make her feel like a third wheel. But at least he was appreciative of the advice they were giving....or rather, what Shadow was giving.
The word favor shot up their equal interests. They had done favors for 'Chat Noir', but now Adrien was asking them a favor. As himself. They were both excited at getting to do work for a billionaire, but at the same time, cautious. However, it was time for those lines to blur. Like Adrien said, they needed to see him as how he wanted them to see him now. But even that was blurry. Was the cocky, confident kid that had openly defied the law the Adrien he wanted them to talk to, or was that a facade?
But what wasn't a facade was his request to keep the media away from Yang.
"We've got both you and Yang covered," Shadow promised. He had seen the picture of Yang attacking a photographer, and he was both proud and concerned at the same time. No doubt Adrien was getting tons of fan mail from psychotic fangirls, or even passive aggressive comments. Neither one of them was safe, and protecting Yang had become sort of a habit. "I said it to Yang, and I'll say it to you; I hate reporters."
"One time, he almost put a microphone in a guy's mouth," Sunshine added. She had been at that attempt of getting a comment. It seemed like 'no comment' was not the answer the nosy person had wanted to hear, so the matter had become turning the mic into a lollipop

Adrien could breathe a sigh of relief. He had been a little afraid they would say no, but this was for Yang's benefit. Not just his peace of mind. But as long as the police kept the reporters off Yang's lawn and away from her, he could be happy. Now he was really glad that Riku bought her house because no one thought to look under his name for Adrien's 'wayward lover'. The longer she stayed out of the clutches of the media and his fans, the better.
"Thank you. You don't know how much that means to me." he said. "She's... not meant for the spot light and fame."
He might even step down himself, hire new models. If he needed to run the company he couldn't be modeling full time. Not to mention, he wanted to spend more time with Yang. Modeling severely cut into that. Especially if there were shoots around the world for clothing lines. Another thing for him to do, but he wasn't sorry if he had to cut down on his modeling time. It was part of the work he never enjoyed very much.

"Not the spotlight they're forcing her into," Shadow said pointedly. "She shines in other lights. But that one...yeah..."
At least everyone was on board for the idea. There were qualifications for the security guard posts all over town, but the idea of shooing away the media was an opportunity Shadow couldn't say no to. That, and it benefited helping Yang AND Adrien. He couldn't risk either of them getting hurt. They were kids in love; shouldn't the camera be bothering OTHER celebrities about it?

"Yeah, she does..." Adrien agreed. "But I don't want that life for her."
It also meant that if they were in the spotlight together, he would have to share everything with the world. Their dates would be photographed. Their outings would be filmed. They would be jumped for autographs and mobbed for pictures. The world would see their every second together. He had seen other celebrity couples fall to that pressure. Start using drugs, start arguing, start hating each other. He would not lose Yang because the world couldn't keep their noses out of his personal life. At the moment, Yang, Weiss, Sunshine and Shadow were the only anchors he had to reality. If he lost any of them, he would feel absolutely lost. Who knew what would have happened to him if he had?

Well, that was actually kind of nice to hear. This just proved what they had thought of Adrien al along. That he wasn't just the typical rich kid who splurged money on ridiculous things, but rather used it to make others have some sort of benefit. He didn't like every aspect of his life photographed and something as special as a true romance with Yang, that was not something the paparazzi could touch. The two cops had nothing to say. Instead, both of them smiled and nodded. A life spent entirely in front of cameras was something no one wanted.

Adrien smiled a little sheepishly. This was still a little weird for him. It would certainly take some getting used to. But now he could go out and not worry that he would get caught by Shadow or Sunshine if he slipped up in front of them. He could go with Elsa to Nevermore. He could walk past precinct without of the two officers who knew Chat Noir best. The ones who could probably arrest him the quickest.
"Do... you have any questions for me?" he asked. "I know I just threw a lot at you."

If it was weird for Adrien, then Shadow and Sunshine had a lot of adjustments to make, too. On the one hand, it was a relief to know that their real true friend had an identity. But the bad news was they had to find a whole new scapegoat to pin Chat Noir's crimes onto. That would mean bending slash breaking a lot of rules to keep the law off of the kid's back.
"A few, to be honest," Shadow broke the ice first. "When did you start donning the mask?"
"And two," Sunshine chimed in, "when do you get back from vacation?"

"A few weeks before you caught me at the museum." Adrien said. "Wasn't really that hard."
His Father had him active to keep him in shape. Martial arts to fend for himself in case he needed it. Fencing for whatever reason. He had a climbing wall in his bedroom. Parkour across the rooftops of the city wasn't that hard. Not to mention, since he was never supposed to leave the manor or whatever 'away from home house' his father had, Adrien got good at sneaking out. Not to mention, a teen who was bored, with no friends got good at hacking things for the hell of it. He got good at trading secrets. People loved talking to him. A few well placed words and they were tripping over themselves trying to impress him (at least those in high society).
"We haven't planned when we're going," Adrien said, "But probably a weekend trip. Nothing too big too fast... She doesn't like it when I spend a lot of money..."
But he liked simple dates with her. He was taking one of his father's art gallery rooms and having it refurbished for a small sit in theater. They could watch movies on a big screen with popcorn and order pizza. Simple stuff she liked. He wasn't going to lie, he liked it too. He liked spoiling her because he thought she deserved everything the world had and more, but that might have just been his feelings talking, not his brain.

Wasn't that hard? How would...well, okay, perhaps being sheltered and having the multiple resources to keep one active did make it easier than a person who only dreamed of doing what Adrien would be doing now. Besides, those few weeks before the encounter could have literally bought him some time to get prepared. One didn't juust make a bodysuit overnight unless a modeling agency's seamstress had her hands on good quality cloth.
"Okay, a weekend trip isn't bad," Sunshine mused. "I ask because, well, I know you'll be busy as will we, but...maybe we could find time to know you as a person and not..."
"..Not hiding behind a mask," Shadow finished. "I'm not just talking literally, of course."
