Yang glanced at Adrien before asking "How'd they take it?" Shadow probably wasn't too surprised. He'd already known how Yang felt about Adrien, and suspected that Adrien and Chat Noir were the same person. Conforming that, and saying that Adrien and Yang were officially a couple, probably wouldn't shock him too much. Sunshine on the other hand, Yang wasn't sure. She hadn't spilled any of her romance trouble to her fellow blonde friend. Jane had had the honor of listening to that. She wondered how Shadow felt about her and Adrien. Knowing that he was keeping his feelings about Sunshine a secret kind of bothered her, but she knew she couldn't force him to say anything. And she wasn't about to tell Sunshine how he felt. This was Shadow's business, and it wasn't her secret to spill. Still, he had a point about Sunshine and Riku already being together. Confessing things would be kind of awkward. Yang just wondered if he would regret never saying anything.

"They were surprisingly okay with it," Adrien said. "And they said they'd keep the media off our backs."
Shadow would likely be better at that than Sunshine. No offense to Sunshine but dark and brooding often scared the reporters away. Her partner just happened to have that act down pat. Shadow just happened to have a glare that could give lectures. He seemed to give an 'evil' little smirk at being given permission to keep the media at arms length. They hadn't gotten mad. They hadn't told him he shouldn't or couldn't see her. He had thought they would have at least been up in arms about how 'different' the two of them were. But they hadn't said a word.
"Sunshine wants to make me something diet-ruining apparently." he said.

"That's nice," Yang said. Shadow's distaste for reporters in general was no secret. At best, he could tolerate the ones that actually stayed in their lane. Anyone else would probably get a nasty glare, or worse. Shadow was intimidating enough though that a single look could spook people. It was just something he had a knack for. She had to smile at the idea of Sunshine joining in on getting Adrien to break his diet. "Well, she is one of the best bakers I know. She'd probably be able to make something that's from scratch and calorie inducing." Whenever Adrien visited, most of the junk food she gave him was usually the frozen type. Or any of the processed snacks that didn't expire for a very long time. She laid back, her hand resting behind her head while her right arm lay across her chest. The sky was almost as blue as the water, which Yang found interesting. Bellerouge was nice and all, but the river didn't have the same crystal-blue quality that this island had. Being able to actually see the bottom would probably do Yang some good.

Adrien rolled on his side to look over at Yang. She seemed... relaxed. That was exactly what he wanted. It was what they were both looking for after all. The trip was her idea to de-stress and he wanted her to come with him because no one else made him feel better the way she did. He then looked back up at the sky. He could almost fall asleep there. The sound of the water lapping against the shore, the soft warm sand beneath the blanket, Yang, right next to him. He took a slow deep breath before letting it out. Maybe it was his affiliation with cats that made him feel so sleepy. Or perhaps it was just the plane ride in.
"By the time you and Sunshine are done with me I'm going to be rolling everywhere!" he laughed.

Yang laughed with him. "Don't worry, I won't let you look like an inflated balloon," she teased. She just didn't want Adrien getting bone-thin for his job. All models could suffer from that, whether they were a boy or a girl. Luckily, now that he was in charge of himself now, he didn't have to go by the strict standards that his dad put him on. "Besides, maybe letting yourself go a bit can send a positive message or something," she added. "Plus-sized models are already doing that. Maybe you can join the brigade." Heck, even Yang herself wasn't as skinny as a rail. She was more muscle than anything else. At least, she used to be. When she was living on the streets, fighting had kept her in shape. Some of the muscle had slowly gone away, ever since she had lost her arm. The only reason she probably hadn't gained a whole bunch of weight was because her depressive episodes left her with almost no appetite. She noticed Adrien looking sleepy. She still felt wired up though, probably because the ocean was still on her mind. Getting some sun felt nice, but she felt like her trying out the waters would nag at the back of her mind until she actually did it. "You're looking tired," she said with a grin. "Think some swimming might perk you up a bit?" Not to mention, she was curious about what the inside of the house looked like. Knowing the Agreste's, it was probably as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside.

"All for positive messages." Adrien said.
He would be breaking his diet. He was going to eat healthy, but not as healthy as steamed vegetables and gluten-free rice cakes healthy. He would let himself have 'bad' things. He worked out enough that he could allow it, but he enjoyed doing that so not any change there. He had been introduced to flavorful food through Yang and greatly enjoyed the difference. He wondered how Yang would like the chefs. They were only there for the trip, but would otherwise be working for him at the manor. Adrien wasn't known to be a model who could cook, but he would be getting lessons.
"Sure," he said with a smile. "So... swimsuits or are we just jumping in?"
He sat up, looking out to the water. It was just them so they could do whatever they wanted. He wasn't going to play 'dunk the phoenix' any time soon, but they could still have fun without that. But he also didn't want to make Yang uncomfortable. The water was water. A phoenix was naturally averse to it. He wondered if it wasn't a bad idea to agree to go to the beach for their trip, but all the family islands were surrounded by water.

"Didn't know just jumping in was an option," Yang said with a laugh. "I did get a new swimsuit for this trip though. I wanna make sure it's put to good use." She sat up with a smile. "Besides, the only time I've seen you in a swimsuit is in the pages of a magazine," she continued teasingly. "Might be nice to see that in person." She gave him an affectionate kiss in the cheek. Really, she just wanted to try going out in the ocean before she lost her nerve. The last thing she wanted was to be spooked about it the whole trip, and then end up not doing it. If she could enjoy being in the ocean, maybe being near the river back home wouldn't be so bad.

"Is this just an excuse to see me shirtless, Yang? Naughty." he teased.
He was trying to keep things lighthearted. He saw her looking at the water, like it was going to devour her. Was she putting on a brave front for him? He hoped not. He sat upright once more and looked over at her. If she wanted to go take a dip in the water, he wouldn't deny her. He offered a sheepish smile when she kissed him. He likely wouldn't get tired of that any time soon.
"So... we go get changed and jump in?" he asked. "Or are you wearing yours already?"

"Well, you get to see me in a bikini. I think that's an equivalent exchange," Yang teased back. Picking a swimsuit out at the store hadn't actually been too hard. Yang knew that no matter which one we chose, it wasn't going to make her lack of an arm any less noticeable. If she found one she actually looked good in, minus the missing arm, she felt like her confidence would be bolstered a little bit. "Mine should be in my suitcase," she said, glancing back up at the house. No doubt all their stuff had already been put inside while they'd been lounging about. "Mind showing me the inside of this place?" she asked. "I'm curious about it."

"I would be happy to show you around." he said.
He got to his feet and offered her his hand. Once they were back on their feet, he led her to the house. This was a little more subdued than most of the 'home away from home' houses his father bought. Adrien had a feeling his mother had a say in the house. It wasn't nearly as white and sterile as their home in Bellerogue city. When lit up, it was a sun-kissed orange color, warm and inviting. He could already see a few of the staff members moving about the house, finishing some last minute cleaning.
"You'll have your own room." he reassured her.
He made sure not to assume they would share a bedroom. They had only been together for a week. But he had made sure the room setup for her was close to his. He wanted the bed to be soft and the comforter warm. He had the bedroom close to the water, but not too close in case her nerves got the better of her. They could also close the drapes if she didn't want to look at the water any longer. Or if she were so peeved they could take right back to the jet and go somewhere else. He stopped at her room and gestured for her to go inside.
"I hope you like it."

While not as flashy as the Agreste mansion, you could still tell that little kids weren't running amok in this beach house. Everything was too clean and tidy for that. It felt nice though. Yang could sense herself feeling comfortable almost as soon as she walked through the front door. She couldn't quite explain it. It just felt right. Or maybe just being with Adrien was right. Her room was separate from hers, which she didn't mind. Sharing a bed wasn't exactly a milestone they'd achieved yet. Besides, if any of Yang's night terrors creeped up on her, she didn't want Adrien to be bothered by them. Who knew if any of her nightmares would pop up while she was here. Her luggage had already been brought in, and the room itself seemed cozy, but not claustrophobic. Her every need seemed to have been in mind. While Adrien often referred to Yang as his princess, she felt like he was certainly going all out to make sure she felt like one on this trip. So much attention might have made her anxious in the past, but now, it made her feel special. "I love it," she said, kissing Adrien again. "I'll meet you out front in a few minutes, okay?"

Adrien nodded. He breathed a sigh of relief to hear that she liked the room. He had wanted her to be comfortable after all. He closed the door behind him on the way out, heading to his own room to change as well. When he was finished he stopped by one of the bathrooms and grabbed them some towels for later. He made sure to apply sunblock when he was there. Model or not, he liked a sunburn about as much as the next person. Not at all. He decided to bring the bottle with him in case Yang needed it. He wondered if he looked nervous when he we was waiting for her out front. She said she had seen his magazines with him in a swimsuit. It was different in person though.

Adrien seemed pleased to hear that Yang liked the room. How could she not? As the door closed behind her, she let out a breath. If she was honest, this swimsuit was probably the most revealing thing she'd worn in a long time. She'd liked showing off her body in the past, mostly because she knew she could use it to her advantage if the situation called for it. Nowadays though, her mind was constantly thinking about what might make her missing arm less noticeable. By the time she had her bikini on, which was a red-orange color, she was feeling a little nerve-wracked. She glanced out her window, where the ocean waves still crashed upon the shore. She gave it a look and muttered under her breath "You don't scare me." She reminded herself that this was the ocean, not the Antoinette River. She should enjoy it. That gave her enough drive to finally go out the door and head outside the house. Adrien was already there waiting for her. She jokingly eyed him up and down before saying "Looks like I was right. Seeing this in person is way better than in a magazine."

"Naturally." he said. "But not nearly as good as you look."
He offered her a smile before offering his hand. He was right. She looked great in a swimsuit. She would have argued if he started droning on about it, or punched him. He learned his lesson late time she punched him. His father would have turned her into one of his stick figure barbie doll models if her social standing had been different. Adrien would have hated that. Because she wouldn't have been herself. He smiled and placed a kiss on her cheek. It was not ideal how things had turned out, but he was happy to have her nevertheless.
"Back to the shore?" he asked.
He started to lead the way, going at a slow and steady pace in case Yang changed her mind. This was water after all.

Yang had to smile at the compliment, even though she knew Adrien would say something like that. If he thought she was beautiful, then nobody else's opinion really mattered. Having his hand around hers gave her a bit of confidence as they walked down to the shore. Yang was amazed at how clear the water was, which she figured was good for her. Knowing where she was putting her feet would probably reduce any nervousness she felt. As a wave came hurtling towards the shore, Yang stuck her foot out experimentally. The water was cool underneath her toes, and was even colder as it washed over her foot entirely. "Oh jeez, that's cold," she said, jerking her foot back for a second. She was more surprised than spooked, which she considered a good thing.
