Felicie was overjoyed, she had run into the troll Omar again in the park, and he was singing and playing the guitar! Since her uncle had given in to her pleas and allowed her to have the afternoon off to do her own thing, as long as she didn't venture into the dangerous parts of town, she had made her way to the park and had run into Omar again. They had talked for a few minutes before he had asked her once more to dance as he played. After a moment of hesitation, Felicie had agreed with much enthusiasm.
As she danced and he played his song, a sad one, she danced. She was careful on her ankle, which was still weak, but she couldn't resist the call of a performance. People stopped, a larger crowd than Omar normally got. They were looking at Felicie dancing to the song and pouring her soul into every movement. As she spun she murmured a spell under her breath and spirals of light and butterflies made of golden mist came from her feet and spiraled around her body. A shout of amazement and awe came from the crowd. Both Omar and Felicie smiled.

Jane had headed to the park. One of the last few days she would have off before she began teaching in the fall. Summer vacation would be her only real break from work. Though, it was a job she liked so could it really be considered work? Speaking of working, she found her father in the park, playing his guitar, as he often did. Only this time, he had a little assistance from a young dancer, who moved along with the sad song like she was meant to do it. Jane was surprised to see such a skill from someone so young. She cheered along with the crowd after the song ended. Truly magical, though that might have been the little butterflies that floated around the young woman. It only served to add to the street performance. Jane clapped and cheered with the crowd, smiling fondly over her father. Leave it to the man to inspire young performers.

Omar smiled at Felicie and Felicie smiled back. Omar grabbed a handful of the money in the case and held it out to the little redhead. She looked a bit shocked and shook her head but Omar kept holding it out. "Sweetheart, it's just because you were amazing. I wouldn't have gotten half as many people around, or half as much dough if it hadn't been for you, so this is a thank you" Hesitantly Felicie took the money and did a little curtsey. "Merci Monsiour Omar" she said with a small smile and Omar laughed. "You're welcome kiddo" He paused and turned as someone caught his eye. He grinned and waved. "Jane! Come give your dad a hug!" it had been way too long.

Jane smiled fondly at her father, but happily obliged the older man. She hugged him before turning to meet his other little performer. They were still utterly glowing from their riveting performance. The crowd had now dispersed but it had left everyone in a good mood. Jane was just happy to see her dad. It had been a while. She had been caught up in her student teaching (and soon to be her job) whereas he had his nightly performances to go to. Their sleep schedules were different, even though Jane would have preferred a later schedule, if she wanted the job she did, she had to adhere to 'regular' work hours.
"So dad, who's your little starlet?" she asked.

Omar smiled as he hugged his daughter and nodded to the little girl staring curiously at them. "Felicie, C'est ma fille Jane" Filicie gaped for a minute. They looked the same age! But she waved anyway. "Bonjour Madamoiselle Jane" she said politely and giggled. "I used to be a famous dancer in France, my home. But I was born here so I came back after an accident" Omar smiled fondly at her.
"I met her a little while back wandering the city. I was playing a gig and when I learned she was a dancer, and a witch, well I invited her to dance to spice up the show. Her uncle showed up but he let her come to the park and she was able to show off" He smiled at his daughter. "I'm gonna look out for her"

"Bonjour," Jane replied. "Thanks for keeping this old man out of trouble,"
The young girl was sweet, polite even. She almost made a joke about how her father couldn't have been that bad of an influence. Though she was just happy to see her dad and didn't feel like ribbing him for now. Though leave it to her father to take it upon himself to entertain all the kids. Even if that meant recruiting a dancer. A little witch so that certainly explained the magical quality to the performance, but no one was complaining!
"Your dancing was wonderful, Felicie."
