Shiro stretches a tad as he continues to walk through the French Quarter steel grey eyes observing the various looks about his arm. He did admit it was probably odd for people to see one of his kind with a robotic arm and he couldn't blame them for staring. He remembered Yang used to live around here and he was hoping to see her and check up on her and the Kids. Since his accident he hadn't seen them and losing all those months when he had meant to make sure they were doing okay.
A bag of groceries in his arms as he finally came up to the Stella theatre and stares up at the condemned signs and bites his lip looking around. He doubted Yang would have stuck around here with the kids but this was he only place he could think of to look for them. Though of course that did make his slightly protective nature creep up as his hackles raised hoping that something hadn't happened to them.

Although Yang had had her own place for some time now, she couldn't resist coming back to it every now and again. It had been home for so long, and she had a lot of happy memories there. Of course, she knew the life she had been living hadn't exactly been great, and she'd been pretty reckless and stupid sometimes. But she still remembered being here with her kids, laughing with them, watching over them to make sure they slept well. She was just happy that they all had proper guardians now to make sure they grew up like regular kids. They were happy, and she was happy, for the first time in a long time. Her new arm had given her confidence, her and Adrien's relationship was blossoming, and she was training to become an officer like she'd wanted to be when she was young. She felt like she finally had a purpose in life, something she could do that was worthwhile. She gave a little smile as the theater came into view. However, something else caught her eye, and she stopped in her tracks. More specifically, someone else had caught her eye. "Shiro?" she asked, her eyes wide in disbelief.

You could hear a pin drop as Shiro turns and sees Yang the bag of groceries dropping to the ground as he rushed over enveloping the blonde into his infamous bear hugs. "I am so glad you as safe Yang.." she whispers softly before taking a note of their semi matching arms "Heh looks like we match.... where are the others are they with you what happened?". The questions came tumbling from his lips as he in rather amusing brotherly fashion takes inventory of her making sure she looks alright regardless. "I was in an accident on one of my other calls... apparently I was missing for almost six months and showed up in the Hospital half dazed..." he says softly.

Once Shiro ran over and wrapped Yang in a hug, she knew she wasn't dreaming. Her old friend was really here. She hugged him back, and while he seemed to have lots of questions about what had happened to her, she had a few of her own as well. She hadn't seen him in a long time. Last she had heard, he'd been in an accident, and nobody had seen him sense. In a supernatural city like this, anything could have explained his disappearance. He could have been kidnapped by the mob, spirited away by fairies, sank into the swamp. "I'm fine, we're fine," she said reassuringly. "Me and the kids...it's kind of a long story." She wasn't even sure where to begin. Explaining how Frollo had tried to arrest her and put the kids in a crappy foster care system was probably the least complicated thing. There was the whole issue of Thrax to explain, the several months where she had been lost in her misery, and her finally bouncing back. Not to mention, where her kids had ended up. Shiro gave a vague recollection of what had happened, which Yang mostly knew. But, it seemed to be missing some details. "Apparently?" she repeated. "You mean...you didn't know?" Had he been in a place where time passed differently or something? Rumor had it that the fairy realm was like that. Or could he just not remember what had happened?

"No... I lost a fair bit of memories I just remember evacuating this group of kids from a seedy building they were squatting in before getting conked on the head real good. After that I get flashes but not much. And if you help me pick up the groceries you can show me your place and we can talk about it... my shift doesn't start again til tomorrow so I have time." he says ruffling her hair a bit picking up the bag trying to gather the rest.

"Jeez, they're putting you back to work already?" Yang asked. If Shiro had trouble with his memory, maybe he should take some time off to figure things out. But, he did like his old job, and if it brought him some sense of normalcy, then she wasn't going to argue with that. "Oh, well, my place is near the Antoinette River. Kind of a long walk from here," she said as she helped him gather up the groceries that had scattered everywhere. "Although being near the water isn't giving me the heebie-jeebies anymore, so that's been nice." Granted, she wasn't about to dive into the river anytime soon. But she could stand being near it without thinking about what happened to her mother, or the time Cinder and her cronies had tried to kill her. And she could enjoy the ocean, thanks to Adrien. Taking things easy at his beach house, and having him by her side, certainly made facing the water easier.

"I prefer normalcy over people fussing over me you know? And I am glad that you are doing better with your fears Yang." he says with a warm smile. "And a long walk is completely fine I didn't grab any perishables so no worries on spoiled milk..." he says with a laugh.

Yang shrugged. "If you insist." Maybe a long walk would be okay. They both had a lot to catch up on with each other. Although Yang would probably do most of the talking, since Shiro couldn't remember what exactly had happened to him. "Is there any investigation going on about how you disappeared?" she asked. "Maybe the Others Unit can help. They may know something." Heck, Shadow could certainly relate to having lost memories. When Yang had first met him, he hardly knew anything about his past. So much was different now. He knew where he came from, and what had happened to Maria. It didn't make him any less kind of a person though. He was still faithful to his friends, and Yang liked having him around.

"I wanted to check on you and the kids first but I'll go to them this week... I mean an EMT like myself goes missing for six months? I mean... I am not exactly the easiest guy to miss you know?" he says with a slight laughter. "Sure me and my parents don't talk any more but surely they would have you know thought something was up."

"Well, me and the kids..." Yang paused for a second, not sure where to begin. She sighed before deciding to just talk about it as best she could. "We kind of got busted a while back. I mean, I was raising them in an abandoned movie theater. Not exactly the best place. And all the bad stuff I'd been doing kind of caught up with me. I decided it was time we all had proper homes. Living on the streets was...kind of my way of running away from my problems. But, I couldn't run forever. So, I got some help, and they're living in proper homes now. Cody and Penny are with their grandma in New Orleans, Jenny's with her mom here, and we managed to find Louie some nice foster parents who would look after him. And one of the cops got me my own place, so I could get on my feet and actually make money in a legal way." Coming to terms with her past, and how it had affected her, had been a rough ride. Lucky for her, she'd had some good friends to back her up and help her out. At Shiro's comment, she said "I guess it was just hard to nail down exactly where to start looking for you. I mean, you could have been anywhere. And after some time passed, nobody was sure if you were even in the city anymore. You just weren't...anywhere." It'd been a little rough to deal with, but that sometimes happened in this city. People could vanish and never been seen again, for various reasons. And any one of them could be responsible for what happened to Shiro. Hopefully, someone could help him figure out what happened.

Shiro's eyes harden a bit at the idea someone tried to mess with the kids "Let me guess it was the hard case Claude Frollo?" he growled. Shiro never really enjoyed the particular man and he could smell the slime coming a mile away. However hearing the kids were in safe and happy homes and Yang herself had her own place he was relieved "I am glad you guys got into better homes and it matters that you guys at least tried to look for me Yang."

"You guessed it," Yang replied, the thought of Frollo leaving a sour taste in her mouth. "He found out my colorful history with the police and decided to lead some cops himself and track me down. Wasn't the greatest night." One minute, she and her kids had been telling funny stories and laughing. The next, Frollo and a good number of cops had busted the place, leaving Yang to face them while her kids made a run for it. She considered herself lucky she hadn't been caught that night, otherwise Frollo would have stuck her in a cell and made it difficult to get her out. Although Shiro mentioning Frollo made her remember her conversation with Shadow about him, shortly after she had lost her arm. She glanced at Shiro before saying "He's dead now. He and...Shadow kind of had a tussle in the church. Frollo's been a bigot for a while and stuff, but he finally crossed the line and did something that was...really bad. Like, bad enough to get him in trouble if people found out. And people did find out, he just kind of...kicked the bucket and wasn't around to see it." That was the vague way of putting it, but mentioning that Frollo had found out that Shadow was the son of the Devil probably wasn't a wise thing to do right now. That was something only Shadow could share.

"It couldn't have happened to a better man.." he remarked dryly fairly glad that particular man was gone. "This Shadow person sounds like a good man... I am glad he was able to help you and the kids. It is certainly better then what I could have done..." he says softly as they continued to walk. "Though I will say being back on the job is nice though more then once I have had to swat my Trainees for flirting with patients... honestly..." he says with a laugh.

"Well, he's more of a...hedgehog, then a man, I guess you could say," Yang said with a laugh. "He's cool though. He's on the Others Unit with Sunshine. You know, the one who works at the bakery and is the literal embodiment of her nickname?" Yang had known Sunshine a bit longer than Shadow, although they hadn't gotten close until the last year or so. The only reason they had known each other was because Yang had been a frequent customer at the bakery. Not to mention, they had some similar aspects to them: upbeat, protective, feisty. She glanced at Shiro when she noticed his voice get a little quiet and she frowned. She didn't want Shiro to start feeling bad for not being here while she'd gone through all this stuff. He probably had enough to deal with without adding feeling sorry for himself into the mix. "Hey, you've been a great help," she said, patting him on the back. "You were one of the few adults my kids actually liked. That's saying a lot." Shiro was good with kids, and Yang's had instantly bonded with him, making it easy for her to leave them in his care if she needed to do something important. At his comment about the trainees flirting with patients, she laughed along with him. "Hey, nothing wrong a little flirting every now and then," she joked, giving a wink. Nowadays of course, all her flirting was reserved for Adrien. Teasing each other and making jokes was still something they loved to do, especially Adrien with his puns.

"Well I am glad they liked me well enough" he said with a smile "And flirting is all fine and dandy when you are not trying to give someone an IV...". A soft laugh came out of him please to see the growing Yang had done since he knew her "Do I need to have a talk with a boy to make sure he treats you right?" he teased with a smirk semi serious about the whole thing. One thing that could always be counted on what Shiro being a protective big brother when it came to people he knew.
