Yang tossed her hair back before replying "I've found a guy who treats me very well," she said with a smile. Smiling was kind of hard not to do when talking about Adrien. She was just instantly happier whenever she mentioned him. "His name's Adrien Agreste. Like "richest family in town" Agreste. You've probably seen him in magazines and stuff. But he's not a snob like most of the rich population around here. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet." Heck, Adrien was practically the complete opposite of a jerk. He was one of the kindest, giving person Yang knew. She'd fallen for him before she even realized it, when she only knew him as Chat Noir. Finding out who he was had been a total accident, but it'd brought the two of them closer together.

"Wel... so long as he treats you right... otherwise he'll be in the river faster then he can say Ambulance..." he grumbled. They finally came upon what looked to be an apartment building "This your place?" he asks looking up at it quirking his head.

Yang had to laugh at that. She wasn't even sure what Adrien would do in a situation like that. He only tended to get physical when he was Chat Noir, and even then that was rare. His specialty had been burglary, not combat. Would he break out any of his moves if Shiro seriously wanted to toss him in? Odds were, she wouldn't have to get worried about a situation like that. Adrien wouldn't hurt her again, not like when he had tried to leave her in order to get Cinder off her back. They would stay together, no matter what. At Shiro's question, she looked up and realized that they were at her house already. She'd been so engrossed in their conversation that she hadn't even noticed they'd approached it. "Yup, home sweet home," she said. Some might not call it the grandest thing in the world. The house was only one story, and didn't have a five-car garage or a pristine lawn. Still, it was her own space, and she liked it. And, in case any paparazzi came snooping around, Adrien had a sprinkler system installed she could use. She hadn't had a chance yet, although she found it a nicer alternative than shooting fireballs. "You wanna rest a bit, before you head back to your place?" she asked.

"I appreciate it Yang... been tired a lot more lately.." he says bringing in the groceries and putting them away. Though a familiar flash of Yang's favorite snacks show up "I got you your favorites..." he remarks with a smirk. "I had to fight like six teenagers to get them all."

"Aw, Shiro, you didn't have to," Yang said as he started pulling out some snacks he'd gotten for her. It seemed like food was a common gift people brought over when they were coming to visit. After she'd lost her arm, Jane and Omar had brought over lots of sweets, in addition to picking up groceries for her. Sunshine especially liked to bring over beignets, which she knew were Yang's favorite item from the bakery. Still, at his comment about fighting teenagers to get her favorite snacks, she laughed. "Aw, my hero," she said jokingly. "Feel free to have a seat. I'll get us some sodas." She walked over to the fridge and pulled out two Dr. Pepper's, handing one to Shiro. She still marveled at how easy it was to do simple things like this now that she had two hands again. Multitasking with only one had been nearly impossible. And every day, her new arm felt more and more natural. She was really starting to like it.

Plopped on the couch and took the Dr. Pepper running his hand through his hair. "And you remembered my favorite soda!" he laughed a bit as he cracked it open. "So you said you have an actual job now? What type of stuff are you doing?" he asked with an arched brow as he sipped at the drink. He didn't drink soda much a side effect of being in a medical profession but he enjoyed one now and again.

"Well, sort of," Yang replied as she sat down beside him. "I'm doing some work at the bakery right now with Sunshine. But I'm hoping to take a police test in a few weeks and try to be an officer." She sipped her soda, wondering what Shiro would think of that. Yang used to have no love for cops, and she had no problem saying it back in the day. Shiro might need some catching up on how she'd changed her mind about them. "It was what I always wanted to be when I was little, and I've made some friends on the force that are really good to me. And if I join it, I can make sure that we get no more people like Frollo who get so carried away with 'doing good' that they end up becoming horrible." Granted, Frollo hadn't been on the Others Unit, but he'd been a figurehead for a while when it came to bringing justice to this city. He was one of the more popular faces when it came to the "good side" until he had his downfall.

Shiro nearly did a comedic spit take at that but refrained. "Really!?" he exclaimed but his pride over choices shone through with a warm smile. "You know Yang... I am proud of the changes you have made while I was gone... you doing much better for yourself and I think when you get into the Academy you will become even greater just let me know when you graduate I'll be the guy with the huge obnoxious sign say 'That's my awesome little sister!'" he says with a bright laugh.

Shiro definitely did seem surprised, but he showed his support and assured Yang that she'd do great as an officer. Yang smiled, glad to hear some encouragement. She laughed at Shiro's comment holding up an obnoxious sign and said "Don't worry, I'll let you know when it is." Heck, at this point, everyone she knew would probably show up for it. She had a lot of people looking out for her, and they'd probably want to be there when she took the first step in her new career. She was a prime example of somebody hitting the lowest of the low, and then rising up again. Which, ironically enough, was what phoenixes were known for. She wasn't sure if her bouncing back had anything to do with her phoenix genes, but the metaphor was still relevant.

"Awesome I'll make sure my boss knows so I can make the sign!" he says clearly incredibly excited and generally just happy for her. "If all else fails I'll wave my arm around so you know where I am if I am not in front complete with pompoms..." he remarks. Shiro wasn't usually one for overly dramatic signs like that but Yang had come a long way and maybe some over the top dramatics would do her some good.

Yang laughed. "Does that mean you'll leave the cheerleader outfit at home?" she teased. Still, if Shiro went all out with something like this, he probably wouldn't be the only one. Omar would probably go nuts too. He was the only other friend who'd probably do something like that. He and Shiro both shared the role of being like an older brother or father figure. Heck, Omar was the father figure to quite a few people, most of which weren't related to him. He had a knack for that. He'd find someone lonely, get on their good side, and they'd warm up in due time. He was patient with people, despite the fact that he usually looked like a typical punk/rock dude. But, things weren't always what they seemed, and that certainly held true for the supernatural.

"Possibly!" he joked as he smiled at the blonde. It warmed his heart to see her doing so well especially considering everything else that had happened to her. "You still got my number right Yang?" he asked "Cause I wanna make sure you're doing okay in the long plus you can call if you need someone to knock some sense into someone."

"Yeah, I still got it," Yang said. She hadn't had the heart to get rid of it when Shiro had gone missing. Maybe she'd secretly held out hope that he'd come back? Who knew? Still, she had to laugh a little at his comment about how she could call him if she needed him to knock some sense into someone. "Does this mean you're the knight in shining armor?" she joked. That would be amusing. She'd always equated Adrien with being a gentlemanly thief, like Robin Hood. Adrien always called her a princess. Maybe Shiro held the knight role in her circle of friends.

"Of course Yang what kinda big brother would I be if I didn't protect my little sister" he said softly smiling at her happy she still had his contact info. "I wonder if we could get a couple of the kids together again... I would love to see them." While he was happy to hear they were in good homes his chest ached a bit at the possibility he wouldn't see them again.

"Aw, you're so sweet," Yang said with a smile. "I can't be the damsel all the time though. I wanna look out for you too." If anyone tried to take Shiro away again, she wanted to be there this time, and kick their butt if she had to. She liked knowing that people had her back if she got into trouble, but she wanted to do the same for them too, and protect them if they needed it. People had been giving her so much for so long, she wanted to give back. Shiro mentioned the kids though, and she nodded at the idea of getting them together. "We could do that," she said. "Louie and Jenny are in the city, and Penny and Cody will probably come down from New Orleans if I become an officer. They'll be so stoked to see you."
