"Hey, a laugh! It sounds nice" he grinned at her. "They can be. And total pains in the rear but one gets used to it" Oh. She worked for the cops. He honestly wasn't sure how to feel about that. On the one hand she seemed genuinely nice. On the other, well, she worked for people he had no real respect for anymore. "So you sketch then" was all he said, choosing to focus on that rather than the fact she worked for the cops. "I can see it. You look like the type to draw and whatever"

Namine smiled shyly at him. It was plain to see despite him being annoyed by his friends sometimes he was extremely fond of them. But it seemed like the mood deflated again once she mentioned she worked with the BPD. "I s-sketch." Namine confirmed. "And paint." She dabbled in other arts but those were her best. She blushed a little since apparently the artistic type was something easy to peg.

He smiled back at her. She seemed like a good girl. He doubted he'd ever see her again unless he played a gig near the police department again, but she seemed really nice. "Maybe you can sketch or paint a cover album for my band" he suggested jokingly. "Bet it would look just fantastic. Bet you'd do a really good job"

"O-Oh! Um, if you want..." Namine murmured. "I c-could." She really only worked for the police when they had a case that required a sketch of the suspect or in some cases the victim. Besides, it would give her a challenge to make a cover to suit the needs of the band instead of straight face drawings of people. "But only if you want," she added again quickly.

"Really?" He looked down at her in surprise. He'd been joking. "That would be awesome!" well, if she wanted to do it he would totally be down for it and not look the gift-horse in the mouth. "I would love if you could. People have started asking if there are any albums after concerts and I have to tell them not yet. I mean, I got the music recorded and all but it would be nice to have something fancy to put it in" he grinned at her. "You're a lifesaver, Namine" he meant it too.

Namine nodded in confirmation. She didn't think a band album should be so hard to draw. The police hadn't needed her much as of late. She was basically on call when she was. "It's the least I could do," she daid sheepishly, since Omar had been kind enough to see her to her apartment. She slowed to a stop. She was on one of the upper floors. "W-When do you want to sit down and work on it?" She wouldn't start tonight but once she had a good night's sleep she would be able to think coherently enough to try her hand.

He looked around as she slowed down and took the moment to take in where they were. He felt he could remember the way to her home if ever he had to come back. Which he most likely would if she was really going to make cover art for him. "Nah. The least you could do is say thank you. This is above and beyond what you could do and well...thanks" Omar thought about it and shrugged. "I dunno. Next couple of days probably. The sooner the better. I have a gig tomorrow but it's small. I would love even some concept art by my next big gig, which is in about a month"

Saying thank you didn't seem like enough but she smiled anyways, "Thank you." she said, repeating her sentiment from earlier. She let out a soft breath and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I c-can have something done in a month, maybe sooner." Really it depended on her work schedule but if she were inspired enough that was another story. She shyly looked up at the man, small tentative smile, as if afraid he would get upset that a month was too long to take even if it had been his suggestion.

He smiled back at her. “Your welcome” He said with a shrug. She was a good girl. He liked her a lot. Omar wouldn’t mind talking to her again sometime. There was just something about her that reminded him of his daughter, Jane. Maybe it was the hair, or the face. Whatever it was, he felt connected to Namine somehow. “That’d be great” he said in response to her having it done in a month, ignoring how meek she sounded. “I would love if you got it done in that amount of time. The album is called Troll Mother, after the old troll lullaby. We do a rock version of it during our set and it’s one of the most popular songs we do”

She nodded quietly. She would probably have to see if there was anything of his band online, find something that fit, and obviously, find pictures of his band mates if she were to incorporate them into the cover as well. She let out a soft breath before reaching into her purse and pulled out one of her business cards, normally reserved for when she was doing commissions. "Um... Here," she said softly. "So you can reach me."

He took the card carefully and looked at it. It was a business card. This girl obviously had a nice little business set up for herself. He admired that. Omar put the card in his jacket pocket and nodded at Namine. "Thanks girlie. I'll contact you soon" he promised and then looked around again. "You should probably get inside, and I should probably get home. It is late, after all. Who knows what's creeping about in the dark"

Namine nodded firmly. "Thanks again," she said, slowly gaining a bit more confidence since she was in her element - art. It seems she would have some music to listen to in order to prepare for the album cover she would make, but perhaps after the sun had risen and she had gotten a few hours of sleep. "Goodnight." she added before climbing the steps to her building and letting herself in. She stopped to wave goodbye.

Omar nodded and shrugged. “Hey no problem-it was the right thing to do” The cops would never believe her story if she told them Omar LaRue had been a gentleman and walked her home. The thought gave him some amusement. “Night girlie” he said, and only when she stopped to wave goodbye did he wave back and then walk back the way he had come, going towards his own home. Tonight had been quite eventful and he was pleased with how it had turned out.
