"Yeah. Having time now is actually...nice," Adeline said. Even if she was a little worried about what to do with it all, at least she had a lot of it left. She had plenty of time to figure things out, decide what she wanted to do with her life. The only definite thing in her future so far was what she wanted to be with Pitch. Even if her worst fear came true and her parents freaked out about her being in a relationship with him, she didn't want to let that end things. She'd find a way to make them understand that she loved him more than anything, and that she wanted to be with him forever. This wasn't some schoolgirl crush that most kids her age had. This was the real deal.

"Good to hear. You deserve to have some down time." he said.
And not constantly looking over her shoulder in fear. She had come a great way since he had first met her. He was happy for her in that regard. She would finally get to live her life. He was also happy that she had had stopped by to visit him, even if he wouldn't say it out loud. Because they had such a rocky start when she first met him. Demons just like humans, came in many different shades of grey. He still found himself smiling. He almost had to resist the urge to ruffle her hair. She seemed so pleased with this development.
"Glad you decided to stop in and see me now that your schedule cleared up." he teased.

Adeline gave a little smile. Axel was happy for her. Even she could tell that much. She'd been a scared little girl when she'd first walked into this bar. Anyone would in her situation. But her friends had helped her put herself back together and not be so afraid all the time. And now, with Thrax gone, she could really put her fears aside. At Axel's teasing, she gave a laugh. "Oh come on, just because I got a little more social doesn't mean I'm giving this place up," she said. "Maybe I'll bring one of my friends here sometime, on a quiet day." Namine would probably be too spooked by a Saturday night when the liquor was running high and the place was packed. But maybe a quiet morning like this would be okay for her. She'd probably warm up to Axel eventually, if she was given enough time.

"I might have to keep more tea on hand." Axel chuckled.
He imagined that the crowd she ran with weren't much for loud parties and booze if Adeline wanted to bring her friend over on a 'quiet' day. Evenings were not quiet. His bar had become quite popular. It was also a safe establishment compared to Cruella's Mina. It was laughable really. Him. A demon. With a safer establishment. But life was full of ironies. Their friendship was one of them. Because after Thrax, she shouldn't have been able to look at any demon in a friendly manner.

"I think my friend would like that," Adeline said with a smile. Maybe spending a morning here could give Namine another social challenge. She was already starting to adjust to yoga classes. Although Adeline knew she'd have to broach the subject carefully. She knew that any person getting over a fear could take a step backwards if they took on more than she could chew. Heck, Adeline could be the same herself. Anytime Thrax did something bad, she'd lock herself away again and it'd take her a while to get back to her usual social level. Namine was very much the same, and Adeline couldn't rush her.

"I'll keep some on hand then," he told her.
He couldn't help but smile. His little bar was becoming the haven to all lost souls. People came in when they were down on their luck and just kept coming back. He liked that they trusted him enough to do so. Not many other people looked at a demon and thought trustworthy. It did him good to see the impact he had on those around him. Even if it wasn't always good. It was enough to keep the fire demon going through the day. Opening the bar was probably one of the best things he did.

Adeline smiled back at Axel before finishing up the rest of her tea. While she would have loved to stay and chat some more, she did want to stop by the library before she made her way back home. She was a regular at that place almost as much as the Bourbon Graisse, maybe even more so. "I should get going. Got lots of reading planned," she said as she pulled out some cash and pushed it towards Axel, "I'll see you around, okay? And keep the change." Hopefully, she could convince Namine to come here on a quiet day. It'd be fun for her friends to meet each other. And she hoped that whatever was going on with Axel's friend would turn out okay.

"Oh, reading. So very exciting." he teased. "Don't let me keep you. I have to finish setting up anyways."
Seeing Adeline again was nice. It brought some sort of relief to know that she had come out okay with all the drama that had been going on lately. He was glad for some break of monotony in his day to day life. Which was sad considering he owned a bar. It should be exciting every night. Only it wasn't. His bar was one of the calmest ones in the city. Something he was proud of. It certainly helped when he was building loyalty in his patrons.
"Take care kid."

"Oh yes, very thrilling," Adeline said with a laugh. Some might consider reading a dull way to spend an afternoon, but Adeline loved it. And now, she felt she didn't have to constantly pour over magic books, trying to find any anti-demon spells or charms. She could just read for pleasure now, and that made her happy. "Bye," she said as she gave a little wave before heading out the door. She still had the whole day ahead of her. She could spend it any way she wanted, without worrying about Thrax or her demon problems or anything like that. And it made her immensely happy.
