It was Aqua's day off. As an officer, she seldom got time off of work, but she liked to use the time she had to just try to clear her mind of work. It wasn't always easy, but she decided that today she would take a walk around the park. She would take a moment, breathe for once and just try and relax. So far, it was working. She sat on a park bench. She could hear kids playing on a play set nearby, as they laughed and chased one another about as their parents watched from afar, talking to one another. The sunlight felt good on her skin, much better than sitting in a stuffy office all day.

Moses needed a breather. He felt himself being pulled into the world of demons and wasn't sure if he liked it so much. He needed somewhere to escape from the demons-both good and bad-that were seeping into his life. He retreated to his only safe haven as soon as he got a break and took a stroll in the park. It calmed his mood quite a bit and helped him feel a little better. But he was still feeling conflicted and a little trapped. Eventually Moses' growling stomach prompted him to look for a place to sit with the lunch he'd brought. The only free bench he saw had a blue haired woman sitting on it. He sighed and walked over to where she was. "Is it alright if I sit here?"

Aqua opened her eyes. She looked up to see someone standing nearby. She nodded and scooted over so he had space to join her. "I don't mind," she said. She took another deep breath, just enjoying being outside for once without having to worry about a case, chasing someone down or bodies. "It's such a nice day out. No wonder you want lunch outside!" She offered him a light smile.

Moses smiled when the woman moved over and sat down beside her. "Yes, today is perfect!" he stated, partially faking his happiness. The day was perfect but he couldn’t enjoy it as much as he normally would have. Still the day was perfect and he couldn’t mope around forever. He opened the bag holding his lunch, which consisted of a croissant with ham and mayonnaise in it, an apple and a protein shake. He looked over at the blue haired woman and chuckled a little self-consciously. "I almost feel bad that I'm eating and you don't have anything"

"I'm okay." she assured him. "I had a late breakfast. It was my day off. So I thought I'd hit up the park, you know? Work has been... a bit of a drag." She wasn't technically allowed to talk about her ongoing cases. Particularly the one involving those poor children or her own personal investigation into the disappearance of her old partner. "A lot on my mind..."

"Okay" Omar shrugged and bit into his croissant. It was so good. He sighed happily and nodded. "I took a break from work so I could enjoy some of the day. Figured I'd spend my lunch break outside where it was really nice" Moses looked sidelong at the woman and nodded. "The joys of working. Sometimes it can really be a drag" He took another bite of his sandwich and nodded again. "I hear you on that" He could certainly relate to having a lot on his mind.

"Summer is coming. It'll be nice when things warm up a little bit more. Who knows? Maybe we'll both catch a break at work." she said, trying to keep things light. The day was nice. It was warm but not too hot. The skies were clear. The sun was shining. It seemed that even with the difficult things required of her at work, the world moved on and stayed the same. So she tried to follow suit. "I'm Aqua by the way," she said, belatedly realizing she never introduced herself.

"Maybe. That would be nice" He smiled at her and continued eating, finishing his croissant and starting on the apple. It was crisp and juicy . He offered her a hand. "Moses" he said. He continued eating his apple, lost in his thoughts for a moment. The two full demons he had met were very different from each other and very different from Moses' father. He liked Pitch more than he liked the other two.

Aqua smiled and shook his hand. "So, what has you down Moses? Maybe I could help?" she offered. It was what Seelie faeries did best - help others. It was like an itch developed when she found out someone could use assistance and she liked helping others so it worked out for the best for both parties. "Uh, if you want to talk about it I mean!" she added quickly with a nervous laugh. "It's okay if you don't. We did just meet after all and you probably don't want to share your life story or anything."

Moses blinked. He had just met this woman and she wanted to help him? Maybe it was the demon in him but it was a struggle to help most people for him. He always wondered what was in it for him. "Well....I met a guy a few nights ago who goaded me into a fight and it felt really good" he started hesitantly. "But I felt really bad about it. But it felt really good. I...Kind of have to struggle to be a normal person and I'm afraid anything might make me...less than human" he winced and shrugged. "But don't worry about it, I'm sure it'll work itself out"

Aqua smiled. Maybe this was something she could help with after all. Perhaps it was just luck they both ended up on the bench together. "It's not easy... Not being human. You have to find a balance." she told him. She paused, thinking about how best to go about it. "I don't... typically look like this." She gestured to her appearance. "I'm a faery so I look different from a lot of people. And it scares them a little so I use magic to make myself look human. But I'm not. Does that make sense?"

He nodded as she talked, agreeing with everything she said, eyebrows going up when she confided she was really a faery. He honestly couldn't have been able to tell but he supposed that was sort of the point. He bit his lip and shrugged. "I'm half human" He told her a little sheepishly. So it's a little easier to blend in look wise but...But I get these urges to do things and I don't want to do them. But some of the people around me don't help with combating these urges. In fact, they want me to give in to them and I'm afraid I'll lose myself if I do" he took a deep breath. "Does that make sense?"

"It makes sense." Aqua confirmed. "You see, it's the same with me. There are two types of faeries. Seelie and Unseelie. Seelie faeries... We use magic that helps others. It's just something I feel I have to do. But personally I don't mind too much. I like helping others." She smiled, hoping this was the answer he was looking for. He said himself that he had urges to do things that he didn't want to do, though she wasn't sure if they were good things or bad things. She could very well be encouraging him to do something bad and not even know it. "It's what you do with those 'itches' that defines you. You have to learn to do what's best for you."

Well this was proving to be no help. He sighed and smiled wanly. "Thanks though" he said and continued eating his apple, staring at the sky and enjoying the day. "I don't really want to follow these urges. The people urging me to follow them are...sort of shady characters that I don't trust. I suppose that really, what I want to do with them and what's best for me is to continue to fight them"

Aqua smiled sympathetically. She may not have known what his urges were or why he was fighting these people he was talking about. Perhaps she didn't want to know. He was trying to stay true to who he was and that alone was enough to make her think what he was doing was commendable. "Then fight them." she said, "What I was trying to get at, was they don't know you like you do. I don't know you like you do. You need to focus on you, only you and do what's best for you no matter what anyone else says. It's not exactly easy, but you have to be able to live with your choices at the end of the day. But... I guess you already knew that."
