Yang was trying to take care of herself like Sunshine said. She really was. But it was difficult to try and rest or eat some food when her mind would constantly jump to Adrien and what might be happening to him right now. It was just like when she'd first lost her arm, and her brain kept going back to her fight with Thrax. What was that witch doing to him? Experimenting on him? Torturing him? Was he already dead? The only way she could distract herself from these thought was working on the case, but so far, not much progress had been made. So far, the only new piece of evidence was that the witch's cronies who'd helped her get Adrien into the get-away car also had spider tattoos. Whether they were also survivors of the Spiders' Web demise, or were entirely new members, was up for debate. Either way, there was the possibility that this witch had more magic users following her, which meant even if they did find out where Adrien was, getting him out would require fighting quite a bit of people. Yang wouldn't mind that though, if she was honest. If she knew where Adrien was now, she'd tear the place apart to find him. At the moment however, she was tiredly scrolling through the computer's files on the Spiders' Web, seeing if she could find any new info. Despite trying to work through her anxiety though, her eyes soon betrayed her and her head softly thunked against the desk as she fell asleep.

“Yang? Yang Xiao Long?”
Elsa had gotten to the Others Unit offices as fast as she could. The abduction by the Spiders Web was a huge out of the frying pan and into the fire case. Adrien has kept her safe during the apocalypse. Helping him would be her chance to thank him. His girlfriend had every right to be upset. Elsa had started studying cases left and right. She had defected a member of the Spider Web, much to her chagrin, in court. It had been a nightmare to say the least. She was coming by with the files of that case, hoping it could be beneficial in Yang’s case. Yet the blonde was dead asleep when the lawyer had walked in. Elsa pursed her lips and gave the cop a gentle shake.
“Yang?”

"Ah!" Yang jolted awake, shooting upright in less than a second. It turned out that it was only Elsa though, who had a couple of files in her hand. "Oh, hey Elsa," she said, trying to sound some-what casual. "I wasn't sleeping. I was just...working on this case." She rubbed her eyes, hoping nobody else had caught her sleeping on the job. Odds were, Elsa had heard about Adrien. Then again, who hadn't? The whole city was freaking out. Adrien wasn't just well-liked by his friends. He was popular for his fashion company, and his generous personality. The fact that he was gone made everybody afraid. And nobody felt that fear more acutely than Yang.

Elsa's mouth twitched ever so slightly. Yang was trying to make light of a situation. Yet the poor girl hadn't gotten any sort of rest. The lawyer felt sorry for her. One minute, her life was starting to come together only for something as big as this to come and tear everything apart at the seams. She grabbed a chair from a vacant desk and scooted it over. Yang didn't need her standing and quite frankly, her kitten heels were starting to hurt. Setting the files down, Elsa elegantly plopped nearby. "So I've noticed. I...brought these by. I don't know how much they can help, but it will provide a good history on the Spider Web's criminal activity."

From the look on Elsa's face, she probably didn't believe Yang's little lie. The concerned look in her eyes was one Yang had been seeing on her friends' faces a lot lately. She knew they were worried about her, and she felt bad for making them feel that way. She could never relax though, even if she tried. She knew this tension inside her wouldn't go away until she found Adrien. Speaking of which, Elsa had some files on the Spiders' Web past criminal activity. "Thanks. Every little bit helps," she said, attempting a smile as she glanced through the files. Maybe there had been instances where the Spiders' Web had kidnapped before. Could that provide some insight to why they'd taken Adrien? Yang just hoped it wasn't for some satanic magical sacrifice or something, otherwise Adrien would definitely be dead by now. The thought made her stomach twist and she set the files on the desk, trying not to let her thoughts run away with her. She didn't want Elsa worrying about her anymore than she already was.

"That, and well, you needed some girl time. I knew you'd be too stubborn to get off your desk." She shrugged idly. It would be one thing to talk to Yang over the phone about it, as she respected this case was personal. But no one deserved to be holed up. She had seen far too many members of the Others Unit turn it into a habit. Aqua had done it, Shadow had done it, and now Yang was doing it.

Yang let out a breath. She knew Elsa was trying to help her feel better. And she did tell Sunshine that she'd try to take care of herself. She tried to push away the thought that she would just be sitting around, doing nothing while who knew what was happening to Adrien. She needed a break, and Elsa was practically throwing one in her lap. "Less stubborn and more...anxious, you could say," she said. "But I can turn away from the computer screen for a bit. Otherwise, I'll probably get a lecture about working myself to death." She turned back to Elsa. "How are you holding up? I know you...weren't feeling so good, during the apocalypse." She'd run into Elsa back at the cemetery, along with Jim and Dimitri, and her first reaction upon seeing her had been concern. Elsa had been going through a rough time after a demon had attacked her. Yang wanted to know if she was feeling any better.

The breath Yang let out was a shaky one. Elsa had heard many breaths like it, even at her office. "Being anxious is perfectly healthy. At least you're forcing away emotions for the sake of others." Elsa was speaking from personal experience. Her gift of ice and snow had been, well, harmful. When she was younger, she had been advised to suppress her gift. Needless to say, it gave her a less than healthy image about herself. It was only when she got older and wiser that she begun to embrace her abilities and inspired her to go into law. Yang asked how she was doing, and Elsa decided to go with the easier answer. The cemetery had reopened some wounds, and while they were calming down, she had to be honest. "Jenna advised me to get out more. The cemetery didn't count. It's been...difficult, I won't lie."

"Yeah, although I'm not sure if it's helping me find any answers," Yang said. "I don't feel like we're any closer. And every day he's gone, the more...frightened I become. I know all sorts of fighting moves and I can shoot fireballs, but...none of that matters if I can't find him." The only way her strengths could come into play was if she found out where Adrien was. After that, she was going to tear the place apart and get him back. She didn't care what stood in her way. She refused to let him slip away from her like her parents. "And yet here you are, comforting me," she said with a little smile. Maybe that was just part of Elsa's nature. Weiss had certainly praised her up and down for helping her and being there for her back in the old days, when she didn't have many true friends. And Yang was starting to see why.

Elsa glanced at her laced fingers. “I wish I had your gusto,” she murmured quietly. She had gotten less fearful of her powers, but her demure nature had been consistent. Confidence when defending a client had always come first. It was one of the many times she had gusto, defending anyone because she hated bullies. “It’s okay to be worried. Emotions are healthy. The challenge is knowing when it’s going too far and affecting your life.”

Yang was quiet for a moment. If she was honest, she'd admit that Adrien's disappearance was affecting her life. Of course, everyone didn't expect anything otherwise. Yang wasn't going to be her usual upbeat self until Adrien was found. And the fact that he was gone made it hard for her to do anything else. She could only eat a few bits of something or rest for a little bit before that anxiety came back. Heck, she was feeling it creep up even now as she talked with Elsa. However, she was surprised when Elsa mentioned how she wished she had Yang's gusto. "Really?" she asked. She never imagined Elsa having trouble with that. She was one of the best lawyers in the city. She hadn't even backed down from Weiss's parents, and standing up to them wasn't something every Joe Schmoe could do.

Elsa nodded in silence. She folded her hands over themselves, letting the chill of her powers crawl over her hands. Winter was coming to an end and the fresh spring was coming in. It was funny how a demon could make you realize you were feeling something you had been holding back. Her father had taught her to hide her gift for years. What did that accomplish but just keeping her pent up? "My parents told me that my gift was...well, let;s just say unlike you, my parents didn't like me showing off my gift. It was why I became a lawyer. I couldn't use them to fight. I could use my words, though..." she sighed. "and my parents disapproved of me defending Others. 'It's a lost cause,' they kept saying."

"Oh." Yang could imagine how hard that had been. Elsa, Adrien, Weiss, it looked like all three of them had come from "perfect" families, but not-so-perfect things had been happening behind closed doors. Adrien had been neglected by his father, Weiss had suffered abuse from both of her parents, and Elsa had been ordered to hide something that was a part of her. She could almost understand her parents' logic that fighting for Others was a "lost cause" though. Quite a few people had that mindset. Why try to improve things when bad stuff was bound to happen? "I know that's definitely a frustrating cycle," she said. "I felt like things were finally looking up for a little bit, you know? The apocalypse was over, Shadow was found. Then...this happens." She sighed. "I know we gotta keep trying and we can't give up. But a new problem always seems to pop up right when the old one is solved. It's...tiring."

Elsa gave a small, humourless laugh. She was in the same boat as Yang. The sky was finally starting to make the town see the light. Literally. Yet here evryone was, not sure who to trust. Others were being pointed at even worse than before because of the apocalypse. The vicious circle was constant. "The life of a lawyer isn't so different from a cop's job."

At least Elsa could relate to how Yang was feeling. That had to count for something. Still, she sometimes felt like because of her and Adrien's love for each other, having them gone like this hurt her so much more than everyone else. He knew her better than anyone. She'd opened up to him in a way that she hadn't with anyone else. Losing him was like losing part of herself. And she wouldn't feel like herself again until he was safe and sound. She glanced back at the computer, still displaying all her fruitless search results in the Others Unit's database. Part of her felt like just chucking the whole thing out the front door. What good was it if it couldn't help her find what she wanted? And what good was she if she couldn't solve this case? Just once, she wanted to be there for her loved ones when they were in trouble. She sighed, feeling like she was pushing a boulder uphill and there was no way of knowing how far away the top was, or even if there was one at all.
