"What? Oh come on, no I'm not," Weiss said in a last desperate attempt to keep her feelings a secret. "I just wanted to know about you and Ralph a little more, that's all. Just felt a little curiosity. There's no way I'd..." She suddenly stopped, realizing that she wasn't convincing Elsa in the slightest. In all honesty, she should have figured that she wouldn't have been able to keep this from her. Elsa knew her better than anyone. She gave a sigh before she asked in a defeated tone "Was I that obvious?"

Elsa gave a small laugh and set down her glass on a nearby table. Weiss' flustered face, and even the fact she was trying so hard to get out of it was any person's defense to liking a crush. "Everyone is obvious when they really like someone. I'm pretty sure when I was gushing about Ralph, I looked like a silly schoolgirl. Also, don't act like your sister in law doesn't get all giddy herself when she speaks about your brother."

Weiss had in fact turned out to be easy to read, but Elsa's reassurances that everyone got like that when talking about their crush made her feel a little better. And she did agree that Sunshine could get pretty giddy when talking about Riku. Her brother tended to be on the more subdued side when it came to showing affection in public, but that didn't mean he felt it any less. Weiss had seen the way he'd just quietly take Sunshine's hand, or put an arm around her, or give her a small kiss on the forehead. Sometimes, it was just what Sunshine needed. "Well, you're the second person who knows now," she said. "Aqua was the first. And I still have no idea what the heck to do about it." She gave another sigh.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Elsa was no psychologist, but the last time she had helped someone by simply talking, the answers came to the person themselves. Now where the half-demon was now, she didn't know. The lapis charm she had given him had grown dark. And apparently Aqua was in on Weiss having a crush, too. She had been meaning to give the Seelie a call to begin with. Now she had a lighter topic to start off with before going into deeper territory. Besides, as much as she wanted to smile at the thought of Ralph's big meaty hand holding hers despite her chill, it was comforting.

"No," was the first reply that came out of Weiss. Then, quickly backtracking, she said "I mean, yes. I mean...ugh!" She could feel herself getting worked up, but she knew that wouldn't help. It was almost like she was back to how she was after she'd first left her parents and struggled to talk about anything she was feeling. "I guess I just...I've never really felt like this before, about anyone," she said. "In the past, boys would only like me because I was a LaFayette. And I knew how to deal with that. But he didn't even know who I was when I first met him. This is something totally different. And it...kinda scares me."

Elsa stood as still as a statue made of ice. But rather than coming across cold as she normally did, she looked warm, complete with her understanding smile and a laugh. "Feeling this way isn't a bad thing. It may seem...unusual, but you're going to just be fine. The only thing you should afraid of is if he gave off any kind of red flags." It was funny; the overconfident Wiess LaFayette afraid of finding love in someone that saw her for the person she was, not what society had painted her to be.

"Oh no, he doesn't have any red flags," Weiss said. "Next to you and Adrien, Wally's one of the most generous people I know. I mean, that's his name, Wally." As far as Weiss knew, she couldn't tell anything bad about the guy. The only flaw that she could possibly see was getting involved in a dangerous situation to help someone. It was what she'd been most worried about during the apocalypse. She knew the last thing Wally would do was hole himself up somewhere. He'd probably been out and about, helping as many people as he could. But Weiss hadn't been able to stop thinking about all the horrible things that could happen to him while he was doing so. She hadn't been able to rest easy until she'd gotten that text from him.

"Wally. I like it. Old fashioned, but coming back around," Elsa murmured. But then she let the name sink in. The boy with the speed who had bumped into her at the graveyard, when she was mourning her parents. He had been genteel, if not unsure of how to talk to her. Her blue eyes widened in recognition. Wally...Wally West. "Weiss, did he have blue eyes? Almost...twitchy?"

"I guess that's one way of describing him," Weiss said. Twitchy was one way of putting the energy you could always feel coming off of Wally. Weiss figured that was probably his super speed. A power like that would probably make anyone feel like an Energizer Bunny. Weiss caught the tone in Elsa's voice though, and she realized that her friend wasn't just pulling those characteristics out of no where. "Have you met him?" she asked. If she had, it'd probably help her understand why Weiss liked the guy. But if she'd met him before, that also meant she probably already had an opinion of him. Did she approve of him? Did she think he was a decent guy? Weiss was suddenly afraid of what Elsa thought of him.

Elsa tapped her chin. "I guess I did. He's the only Wally I can think of in these parts. He was a sweet boy, which is all I really took away from him. We didn't talk much, mostly bonded over death. I know, so pleasant," she rolled her eyes and a small hollow laugh escaped. This town was rare to get any sort of pleasantness from. The fact she could talk to Weiss with a smile was a rarity. That could have been from her boozy milkshake, too. One and done. though. She had company, and they both had someone in common to talk about.

Weiss let out a little sigh of relief. Elsa thought that Wally was sweet. That was good to know. She did have to agree that "bonding over death" was a little morbid. But she did remember Wally mentioning that he'd lost his mother. Having dead parents was definitely something Elsa could relate to. "He is sweet," she agreed. "I just wonder if there's a chance he would ever...feel about me what I feel about him. I mean, what if I tell him that I like him, but he doesn't like me that way and it makes things super awkward?" Weiss didn't want to lose Wally's friendship. What if her confessing her feelings resulted in that?

Elsa hummed in thought. She had been Weiss' age and so unsure of falling for someone. It hadn't been until she had gone through college that she realized the true pains of romance. The fear of liking someone but worrying they wouldn't like you back. She sighed, albeit reluctantly. "You'll never know unless you ask him. It can be...scary, but the more you hold it in, the more likely it becoming awkward will become. The only crime you'll commit is...well, being honest. It's the one thing that no lawyer can condemn you for."

And there lay the conundrum. Weiss would never know how Wally felt about her unless she asked. It was a risk she had to take. She just didn't know if she had the gumption to actually do it. It was almost ironic, in a way. She'd gotten into crazy fights and had done risky things for her friends. But asking a boy how he felt about her? It frightened her more than anything else. "You and Ralph...how did you guys tell each other?" she asked. Had Elsa hesitated about being honest with him, just like how Weiss was?

Elsa laughed quietly. It was funny how something so trivial like talking about love lives made her giddy, like a schoolgirl. "The first time we told each other? I don't think we even told each other before. He...showed it, if it makes any sense? I finished a court case and he strolled over and kissed me. After he pulled away, he said he loved me. My whole face turned red and he thought I'd hit him so he stepped back. I just said I loved him back." She laughed, "the look on everyone's faces. Priceless." It was true. A rich lawyer confessing she loved a private eye Giant was something most called unorthodox.

Weiss listened with interest. So, they hadn't really planned on when they would tell each other. It just sort of...happened. Ralph made the first move, and Elsa had responded in kind, and the rest was history. It sounded romantic, when it happened to somebody else. Weiss wasn't sure if she'd ever have the guts to make the first move, and she had no idea what she'd do if Wally did it first. "Is there ever a way you know...when it's the right time to say it?" she asked. "Is it just one of those...'go with your gut' sort of things?"
