"O-oh, well I don't mind. I mostly like listening to speak but um...maybe we could talk about our jobs? I work as a waiter for the cafe, what do you do?" He shifted restlessly in his seat, noticing that she was practically vibrating with energy. He couldn't imagine how much caffeine he would have to consume to get that energized. Was she going to explode if she drank more coffee? He hoped not. That would be absolutely freaky.

"A waiter, huh? You must meet a lot of interesting people."
Some might have thought the words were condescending or sarcastic, but that wasn't the case at all for Anna. She was being perfectly sincere and truly believed that being a waiter must offer a lot of opportunities to get to know all kinds of people. And besides, a job was a job to her no matter what it was. When Moses then asked what she did, she gave a small shrug of her shoulders.
"Oh, you know, just examine dead bodies for the BPD. Nothing much. Oh, are drinks are here!"
Anna smiled at the waiter that had appeared beside their table. Taking her frappachino from the man with a smile, she immediately took a long sip from the drink, acting as if what she had just said were the most normal and mundane thing in the world.

"Oh here and there. Mostly just families or working people. Occasionally we have interesting people. It's more or less just a temporary job. I'll probably be moving on, we'll see" He would be moving on if Hexxus found him. Moses tried his best to give his father the slip whenever possible. At the brief explanation of what she did his eyes widened. She was much to cheerful to be a coroner! But then again he supposed that she would need to be happy in the face of so much death. "What's that like?" He asked honestly before he too took a sip of his drink, still staring at her as he did so.

Anna nodded and smiled even as she continued to sip at her drink, enjoying the mixture of taste and texture on her tongue while also taking pleasure in listening to Moses. His conversation seemed fairly standard but she couldn't help notice his dark eyes tighten slightly when he mentioned moving on from his current situation. However, she knew better then to ask about it.
His own response to her job was somewhat comical and made her grin into the whipped cream of her frappachino.
"It's a lot of fun actually. You'd be surprised what you can learn about a person just by looking at their corpse! I once found out that one of the unidentified bodies I was examining was a prize-winning dog breeder who specialized in Afghan Hounds based on hairs I found in their stomach!"
She gave another grin at this little piece of information before she licked whip cream off of the top of her lips where it had formed a mustache.

He blinked. That sounded like Sherlock Holmes stuff right there. "Maybe the person was just a lover of Afghan hounds and had a few. How did you know they were a prize winning dog breeder?" he was genuinely curious in a morbid sort of way and sipped on his coffee as he gazed intently at his...new friend? Maybe? She was certainly going to be an interesting friend if she was one. Moses laughed at her licking the mustache off her face despite himself.

Anna had finished licking the whipped cream from her lip and was ready to reply to Moses' question.
"Easy. I ran the dog hairs through a genetic database to analyze the DNA. It's a really nifty machine that not only tells you the species the hair came from but the genetic makeup of the sample. And the samples in the victim had specific genetic markers that don't occur naturally and are only found in cases of dogs that have been selectively bred. Also, the victim had trace material on her hands consistent with a specialized leash used in high-society dog shows along with several other compounds that are often found in dog shampoo."
She said all of this in a matter-of-fact tone, as if what she were discussing was easily seen by anyone who just looked closely enough.
"In the end we identified the remains and found enough evidence at the crime scene to uncover the murderer."
