Jane dried her eyes with the back of her hand. She probably looked like a disheveled mess, sobbing up a storm in front of her dad, his band and Yang, but she was too elated to care about that. She took both of Yang's hands in hers.
"Yang, if there's anything we can do for you, please let us know?" She asked. "Dinner for you and yours is just a good start!"
She looked back up at Omar. She should have just run away when she was a kid and came back to the city on her own. But that was something she had to come to terms with on her own.
"I've got... A place," Jane admitted, "But can I stay with you? Just for the night!"

Yang had to smile. All the praise, even though she wasn't exactly sure if she deserved it, certainly made her happy. And the analytical part of her mind knew that having Jane as a resource now along with Omar was a good plus. It wasn't just food that she needed on a daily basis. Clothes, hygiene stuff, she practically had a running list of things that she always wanted to be in stock at her hideout. After all, her kids couldn't look too shabby, or somebody would suspect that they weren't living in a typical household. "Dinner is a good start," she said with a laugh. "I know to call on you guys if I need help." Of course, Yang tended to only reach out for help when there was no other solution, but still, she knew she could rely on Jane and Omar if she ever hit on hard times.

Omar nodded as Jane told Yang to contact them if she ever needed anything. "And make sure you do, Yang" He said with a smile. "I know how stubborn you can be. If you need help don't you dare hesitate to ask us. We'll do what we can for you and yours, alright?" He hugged Jane again briefly and nodded. "Yea, you can stay over. I got some of your mom's clothes still in a box. Couoldn't...you know, bear to give up the last remnants of her memory. You can wear those tomorrow if you want"

"Thank you," Jane said sincerely to the both of them.
She wouldn't have gotten here if not for Yang and now, she didn't have to go home to be alone after she just found her dad. Not that she was bound to sleep anyways. She couldn't stop smiling. She felt in that moment she could take on the world. A burden had most certainly lifted off her chest that night. She could breathe easy for the first time in a long time.
"I could wear those," Jane agreed, quite touched her father kept them after all this time.

Yang laughed at Omar practically threatening her not to hesitate on asking for help. It was a friendly threat though. She knew he meant well, and that he worried about her habits. "Yeah, yeah, I hear ya," she said as she ran a hand through her hair. She was surprised to hear that Omar still had some of his wife's clothes still lying around, although it was also a bit touching too. Yang couldn't help saying "Aw, that's adorable."

Omar smiled happily at his daughter and nodded to Yang. "Yea. Thanks again" He would never stop thanking her for the rest of her life. The half-phoenix had done him a great favor and he would never be able to thank her enough. He shrugged self-consciously. "I just couldn't bear to let them go. I still have Danny's peter pan doll too. I just....couldn't let go" Not until their deaths had been avenged he couldn't.

Jane smiled sadly. She got to go away from this city, go to school and even though she missed him, she had people who cared for her while she was separated from him. Her father was left with the memories and the hurt, all alone. He had Yang and his band, but Jane had a sinking feeling that it wasn't enough sometimes.
"You can show me when we go home," she told him.

Omar seemed to get a little sad when he talked about the rest of the family he had lost. In a way, Yang understood how he felt. She had lost family, too. But, he had Jane back now. That had to count for something. Although, right now, Yang thought it would be best if she gave the two some privacy. She didn't want to intrude on their reunion for too long. "Well, looks like you guys have a lot to catch up on," she said, swinging her arms a little bit. "I can see myself out and stuff." She tossed her hair over her shoulder as she made her way towards the exit.

"See you Yang" He turned back to Jane, taking her hand and squeezing it n his before letting go. She was too old for her dad to hold her hand places. "Do you want to leave? I have to put everything in the van and stuff, but the band can drive it. I can walk to my place with you"

"We can clean up your set and go," Jane said. "Wouldn't want anyone to think your skipping off work."
She smiled at him. She felt silly when he let go of her hand because she almost felt like he would disappear for another ten years. She was starting to really grow into the whole immortality thing but even ten years was a long time to wait for her. Plus she wanted to get to know his band. It would take their time.

"Alright" He looked over his shoulder to call to his band but found they were already right there, grinning at him. He felt his cheeks grow warm. "Okay, one this is my daughter Jane. She'll be helping cleaning tonight. two, what are you lot standing around for? I don't pay you to just stand around leering at me! Move your rumps! Go on, go!" He waved his arms at them and they scattered to do their jobs, still grinning. Omar turned back to Jane with a slight grin on his face. "My band acts like a bunch a kids sometimes" He told her lightly. "But they're a good lot. If you need anything, just tell them and they'll help you out"

"Thanks so much for taking care of him!" Jane told his grinning band mates.
She was so glad he wasn't alone while she was detained due to the foster care system. Yang and his band, they probably made things a lot easier for her father. Jane smiled up at him before playfully elbowing him. She then went to start wrapping up a spare chord that went to his guitar like a pro. She used to work stage crew when she was in high school and they always needed extra hands for the plays.
"Be nice. I think they're happy for you."

"They'd be weirded out if I was anything but grumpy" He explained with a shrug, eyeing her wrapping the cords up with a proud smile. She had obviously been staying in the music scene in one way or another and knew her way pretty good around a stage. He was proud of her. He started putting his guitar in the case and winked at her. "I have a persona to maintain, ya dig? I'm a grumpy rabble rouser and everyone knows it. Have been for the past ten years" he slung his guitar case over one shoulder and began handling the microphones. "Everyone knows me as a bad-tempered loud mouth now so I can't really change without scaring people and fans, ya get me?"

"That or... get some new fans," Jane teased.
Cleaning up as a joint effort made things move along a lot faster. The set was cleaned up, the car loaded and the band jumping into the back of the van. Jane smiled and wiped her brow after they finished. It was a lot to put away but she was pretty sure they had gotten everything. She still felt like every nerve ending in her body was on electric. Probably because she was still so happy.
"Are you ready?"

"But they are loyal fans" He defended, grinning. They cleaned and it seemed to go by fairly quickly. Maybe it was because Omar was just so very happy that his daughter was finally back safe and sound. He nodded at her when they were finished and wiped his forehead. "Ready ready Freddy" he said, something he used to do to her brother. "Let's go home. We have a lot to catch up on"
