Namine ducked into the Nevermore shop when it started raining. She took out a deep breath before wrapping her umbrella in a plastic bag that they provided by the door. She smoothed a hand through her hair before going to place her order. Since it was raining, the cafe had picked up in business. Taking her meal to the last open table, Namine tucked herself away, preparing to draw until the rain let up enough to let her go back home. Today she had ordered herself a macaroon plate and a cup of earl grey tea. To her delight, the macaroons were just as good as everything else she had ever ordered from the cafe. She never really disliked anything she got here so it didn't come to a surprise to her that she liked the macaroons as well.

The ice queen, as they called her, needed an iced drink. Sure, it was raining, but cold never got to her. The case she went through disappeared with every sip, the chocolate dancing on her tongue. She was sure she was getting looks, especially from the blonde haired manager John.
"Everything all right, Miss Crispin?"
Elsa nodded, "Yes, but can I get some of the baguette pudding?"
John gave her a thumbs up before walking back to the kitchen, pulling out an earl grey teabag for the blonde snacking on macaroons at the table caddycorner to Elsa

Namine spared a glance up when she heard the manager speaking to someone. She quickly ducked her head back down when the manager brought her the tea she bought and tentatively ran her hand through her hair. She spared a small smile for him. She tried to go back to her work but now her curiosity was peeked. She glanced back up at the other blonde. Had she seen her before? Was she a contractor for the BPD as well?

The other blonde looked...nervous. She was keeping her head down, as if she'd be punished for even looking around. Elsa smiled in her direction, waving amiably. The cinnamon smell of the baguette pudding wafted through he nose. That spice was perfect for a rainy day like this

Namine blinked in surprise when the blonde waved at her. At first her reaction was to duck down and hide again but the woman didn't seem angry with her. She hesitated before doing the same. A tentative smile played at her lips. The other woman seemed nice enough. She hadn't yelled at Namine for accidentally staring for too long.
"H-Hello," Namine squeaked.

Elsa's smile warmed. People associated her with her ice and cold, but that didn't mean she had to have that outside of the courtroom or the interrogation process. Especially, since she didn't want to turn the rain into hail, and then worse, snow. They had enough with hurricane seasons, and a freak blizzard was not in the forecast. "Hello, yourself," she greeted.

Namine was surprised to say the least when the woman replied back. She blushed and quickly looked away. She grabbed her spoon, trying to focus on stirring in a small dose of sugar for her tea. She was trying her best not to stare at the other woman again. She almost wished the ground would swallow her up. She had been far more social as of late. All of it was through accidental meetings.
"I-I'm sorry!" she inisisted. "I-I didn't mean to s-stare!"

"What's there to stare at? There's a fine line between staring and just looking at someone with curiosity." The shy girl was stuttering and puouring sugar, which meant Elsa returned the courtesy. She sipped her iced coffee, the cubes rattling against the plastic tumbler as the liquid drained. It wasn't like this girl meant any harm or was breaking some ind of social etiquette. If anything, social etiquette was dead.

"I-It's that you look familiar," Namine said quietly.
She didn't know if she had seen the woman at work or if it was at the college Namine attended for art school. She wasn't one of Namine's art clients. The woman had never sought an art commission from the tiny artist. She bit her lip, still avoiding the woman's gaze. Now she really wished to vanish, ducking her head. Her bangs fell into her face to hide her eyes.
"D-Do you work for the BPD?" she asked.

BPD. Familiar. The pieces were coming together. This shy girl wasn't social unless it was from a place she trusted. The police was somewhere Elsa popped into. Was this you girl a wallflower I the community? Given the burly nature, it made sense she'd be quiet.
"In a way," she answered. "I only come in if the police are being accused of something beyond their control."

"O-Oh," Namine breathed.
Perhaps she had only seen the woman briefly, in the passing. Her gaze remained on her tea cup, the spoon softly clicking against the glass. The woman certainly did a lot more for the BPD than Namine was capable of. She bit her lip. There was only so much stirring she could do of the sugar. It was completely dissolved into her tea, long ago.
"W-What's your name?" she asked.

"My name's Elsa."
The lawyer was a bit taken aback. This shy girl was suddenly so outgoing wanting to talk to her all of the sudden. But the timidness was still there, evident by the subtle bite of the lip. But some warm company was needed, along with the baguette pudding, which was dropped down by John, who asked, "another refill of ice coffee?"
"Yes," Elsa answered with a nod.

"M-My name is Namine."
Elsa's name wasn't familiar. Namine never really had anything to do in court cases, unless it was, "Did you draw this person? Yes. Why did you draw this person? It was the description given to me by person x, y, or z." She wasn't nearly as interesting as Elsa was. She sighed softly to herself. Elsa and Sunshine, both of them were so much more outgoing than she was. She couldn't even have a simple conversation with someone without having it lapse into silence or for her stuttering and nerves to get in the way.

"Is everything all right? This weather's seeming to put everyone down."
And it was true. With rain came the inevitable sense of gloom and sadness that plagued the town. Hopefully there weren't any Ombres that ate sadness like candy. Itherwise, rain would just be helping it grow and spread, meaning they'd need powerful BPD officers to try and close it. Maybe the sigh was just a nervous reaction and Elsa was reading too deeply into it.

"W-What? N-No!" Namine insisted quickly. "I-I'm fine!"
Actually, Namine had nothing to worry about aside an impending panic attack due to the number of strangers she had been encountering as of late. Elsa was just another stranger, even if she happened to be a nicer one. It was the people she met that she worried about. Sunshine was worried about Shadow. Ralph was trying to build up his business. Omar had gotten himself arrested and released within the same night. The last few weeks had been so eventful that the little blonde barely had any time to just sit and relax.
"J-Just a lot on my mind," Namine said softly. "B-But that's not imp-important."
