Sunshine let out an exhuberent 'Aww" at that. Not the jump scare, but the part about the girls. She didn't know much about Jenny and Penny - coincidence that they had rhyming names, maybe maybe not - as she did the boys. But picturing Yang toting around two little girls in princess outfits while two boys tried in vain to get people by hiding in every corner was a cute image.
It was at times like this when Shadow wished he had memories of Maria that took place around Halloween. The poor girl couldn't go outside because of her illness. Her grandfather had tried to keep things pleasant around holidays. The most she ever got from fall was learning to make pumpkin bread. And to make it worse, it was the week before...that day.

Sunshine seemed thrilled just at the mention of Yang's kids. Then again, most people were. They could be cute when they wanted to be, although Louie always got steamed whenever people called him that. He was always trying to be tough. Shadow made no comment about it, although he did seem to be thinking about something. Yang wondered what was on his mind. "Anyway, I guess I should be heading back now that I've gotten the last thing I need," she said. "I'll see you two at the party, okay?"

Sunshine's face fell in disappointment. Here she thought they could spend more time with Yang while off duty. She seemed to like them, after all, she said she'd talk to them at the party. There they could poke fun of the higher ups with chewing on Beignets.
Shadow spoke up after Sunshine expressed disappointment. He knew Yang had her little broke to get home to. And kids fighting was something a good caretaker could diffuse. "Okay."
"Don't be a stranger!" Sunshine waved. ((End thread))
