Weiss shook her head. "I was socializing most of the time. My parents had invited the Agrestes, so I was mostly with Adrien." At least that part of the party had been nice. Adrien seemed to know the aches and pains of belonging to a wealthy family. And he was even a decent dancer.

Adrien...Adrien...wasn't that the young model she kept seeing everywhere? If there was a child who no doubt was tired of being everywhere, it was probably him. But what could Elsa say for the kid? The Agrestes were known for throwing money like shuriken. The Lafayettes were, too, but one family seemed a touch greedier. "Well, at least you have a good person to talk to. Adrien is a nice enough person. I just...avoided politics as much as possible." The bell rang once again, and the lawyer slumped. It was one of her richer clients. "I'm afraid we'll have to cut this short. But remember," she went to her office and gave Weiss her lawyer's card, "if you ever want to meet somewhere less frosty," she smiled, "you can call me."

The conversation soon came to an end as one of Elsa's clients arrived. Weiss had hoped to chat for a bit longer, but she did feel a bit better, and that was what counted. Plus, she had some research to do. If beryls had an effect on demons, she wanted to start incorporating them into her voodoo and fencing. That was sure to give Thrax a nasty surprise if he ever showed his face again. "Right. Thanks for listening." Weiss gave a smile before heading out the door. Yes, this had been a very good idea. Elsa seemed to understand how she felt, and she considered that to be very valuable.

Elsa smiled back at Weiss. The poor girl had a lot going on. There was comfort that she had someone her age to talk to, and the lawyer herself felt some relief; that there was finally someone in Lieu Sanglate she could relate to
