"Let me know. Maybe we can make a trip together?" Aqua offered.
She would want to make things up to Yang. If that meant being a friend and being social, then so be it. Aqua didn't really know her coworkers well enough to just ask them to go have coffee or something. Her partner was different, mostly because she constantly saw the guy. It was easier to see if her partner wanted to grab a bite to eat because they were there, together and both probably starving after their shift. She wondered if Riku's current change would make him not want to eat meat for a while. He was a rabbit. Aqua certainly wasn't going to be having rabbit stew any time soon after this ordeal. She still had to figure out a way to get him uncursed.
"He does a lot of charity work." Aqua shrugged. "I think he's got some big fashion show that's coming up. He's going to donate the proceeds to the local food bank. But I don't actually know him. I couldn't afford a ticket to any of his family's events anyways."

"Sounds fun to me," Yang said with a grin. While she knew she could trust Aqua well enough, she didn't really know a whole lot about her, besides how she had lost Terra. Hopefully, spending some time together would help her get to know her better. She talked a bit more about Adrien, who apparently did charity stuff every once in a while. Yang was slightly skeptical of things like that. Despite rich people having them quite a bit, she felt like she didn't really see much of a difference being made with the poor community around here. Which begged the question: Where was all that money going? "Eh, we'll save that stuff for the hoity toity people," she said, brushing the matter aside. "We can have fun our own way that doesn't involve spending a hundred bucks." A fashion show sounded boring anyway. Why pay a bunch of money just to see people strutting around in weird clothes?

Part of Aqua's money problems came from the fact she had hired a private investigator to look into Terra's disappearance. Shadow and Sunshine were the ones to bring proof. Proof that Terra might be dead or at least injured. Injured was a best case scenario but if he had been, why hadn't he gone to a hospital? All she knew was something terrible happened. She still didn't know what. Once Ralph figured out what it was, she could have what money she had back. Or replenish her meager savings account.
"It'd be nice to go at least once." she said. "I mean, I'd like to see what it's all about but you're right... It's probably better to save my money."
Besides, she was a Seelie faery. She was constantly doing charitable acts. Whether it was in the field or out of it. She couldn't help herself. She hated knowing that someone out there was hurting, which was why Yang's situation had bothered her so much. Maybe Yang should look into a restraining order from Frollo, citing emotional distress or something. The guy did bust into her home without probable cause.

"Yeah, that's the way to do it," Yang said, grinning again. Saving was still something important to her. It was always best to save something for a rainy day. Hopefully, her kids could keep that in mind as well as they grew up. Then again, most of them had gone nuts at the idea of receiving allowance. Cody and Penny had joked about saving up to buy the whole world. Yang was just glad they could get stuff like that now. They could grow up like normal kids.

"The closest I'll get is if someone calls the police during the event." Aqua laughed.
The likelihood of that was the same chances that she had of winning the lottery. The Agreste family hired their own private security for their events. The guests would also refuse to allow police involvement if they were doing something wrong because it would be made public in a heartbeat. The media could almost smell blood in the water as it was after the Lafayette incident. Thrax still hadn't been caught yet.
"But I'm not a dress-y sort of person." she said. "What sort of things do you like to do, Yang?"

"Hopefully, we won't get any of that anytime soon," Yang said. She still remembered what happened at the ball, and how south that had gone. Heck, it was lucky that a lot of cops were there to begin with, or even more people would have ended up hurt. When Aqua asked about her hobbies, Yang gave a shrug. "Fighting, I guess," she replied. "That was the main way I made money when I was on the streets. And I'm still doing it a little bit on the side, when I have the time. I'd like to make it a career out of it, but I probably need to get some more education first." Once Yang got her GED, job hunting would probably be a lot easier. Yeah, it was kind of fun to work at the bakery with Sunshine, but she'd rather be giving out knuckle sandwiches than cookies and coffee. Of course, the number of jobs where she could get away with that varied. Body guards fought people, as well as soldiers and professional boxers. Heck, even police officers had their fair share of it. Yang just wasn't sure which job was right for her yet.

Aqua couldn't exactly say anything. People got drunk. People got stupid. People fought and got jealous and angry. All the reasons for conflict. All the reasons for police. But Yang did have a point. The likelihood of a second giant attack at another rich person party was unlikely. Even Chat Noir kept his head down at those events, even though they would be prime pickings.
"Well, you could always become a personal trainer?" Aqua suggested. "Keep people in shape and teach self defense at the same time. We could always talk to the director at the youth center."
Yang seemed to like kids. Working with them might suit her. She did play that friendly face. Plus, with youth facilities, they kept the kids off the street and otherwise occupied when they could have been getting themselves into trouble. They would get one on one attention, food and the self defense could build self confidence.

"Maybe," was all Yang said in response. Maybe that could be worth looking into. And she did like kids. She just hoped places like that could overlook that she once participated in criminal activities. While technically, she had never been arrested for anything, Yang knew that her history would probably pop up when looking for a job, and she wondered how many people would judge her for it. She felt pretty sure that there were still one or two cops on the force who weren't sure how to feel about her getting a second chance.

"Listen to me," Aqua laughed. "Nagging you... Geeze."
She shook her head. Yang was just getting back into being a 'good citizen'. She probably had a lot of other things on her mind. Like her new home or going to finish school. Aqua just wanted to make sure that if Yang was going to get a second chance, everything that could go her way, would. She would sway it if she had to. Or maybe play the whole 'I'm a Seelie Faery, I know what I'm talking about when I say she's a good person, she's a good person' card. She hated pulling it, but she knew good when she saw it. Yang's happiness was going to be key in that situation. Aqua had let her down before and resolved not to do it again.
"You have a job though, right?" Aqua asked.

"Trust me, I've got used to the whole nagging thing," Yang said, grinning. "If I had a dollar every time Esmeralda or Moses told me to stop getting into so much trouble, I'd be richer than the LaFayette's." In a way, after losing her parents, some of Yang's friends had filled in for them. Esmeralda and Moses went way back. Heck, she had met them before they even became involved with the police. In some respects, they knew the most about the shenanigans she had gotten involved in. Yang nodded. "Yeah. Sunshine got me hooked up with the bakery. It's nice, just not the same as being in a fighting ring, you know?"

"I'm sure you don't want to hear it anyway." Aqua said.
Aqua really didn't like the prospect of Yang going into fight rings, but if it was what made her happy, how could Aqua deny her that right? She did the same thing with her line of work. Every day could be her last. One tap from an iron weapon could very well kill her. It would at least incapacitate her for a good, long while. She just hoped that if Yang did fight, she would be careful. One serious injury in the ring could lead to a lifetime of suffering and pain. It was Yang's life to live.
"Maybe not, but... You could always do it on the side." Aqua said.

"True," Yang admitted. That was what Sunshine did, after all. She worked at the bakery and the police station. Personally, Yang didn't know how she managed to pull off two jobs and be super perky most of the time, but if anyone could do it, it was Sunshine. "I guess I'm a bigger fan of eating sweets than making them." Even before she had started working at the bakery, Yang had been there almost all the time. It was practically how she and Sunshine had become friends in the first place.

"To be honest, I feel the same." Aqua admitted. "I frequent Nevermore probably more than I should."
She gave a smile. Sweets. They were a weakness of hers. Especially if done right. If there was anywhere in the city that did their sweets right, it was Nevermore. She adored the shop and it's workers. She was surprised more kiosks hadn't opened up throughout the city, but if they wanted to keep things family owned and small business, they couldn't do that. Aqua still appreciated the shop never the less.

"Tell me about it," Yang said with a smile. "I've probably eaten my weight in beignets by now. Can never resist them." She tossed her hair back, already wondering if maybe she could get some during her lunch break tomorrow. Paired with a sandwich and some coffee, they'd be so good.

"So... you're in there pretty regularly then?" Aqua asked.
Maybe Yang would be the one to ask then about Aqua's missing roommate. The shy little blonde was in Nevermore daily, never went without her little sweet fix. If Aqua liked sweets, they were Namine's lifeblood. If Namine hadn't come back to the apartment, maybe she went back to Nevermore? Had Aqua done something to upset her roommate?
"You haven't happened to see a little blonde girl dressed in white, have you?" Aqua asked. "Stammers when she speaks. Too shy to look you in the eye?
