"Oh thank yeh darlin" Red said with a smile. "Mebbe you an I can find things ta make my tiny apartment a little more homey. You're the first friend I made here. Elsa's nice nuff but she was a bit preoccupied with Ralph" Maybe Red could find out where Elsa lived and bring some food for the busy lawyer. That would be nice. She hoped that would be appreciated.

"Wait, Elsa and Ralph?" she asked in surprise.
That was certainly a new one. Was it a good sort of preoccupied or a bad sort? She doubted the giant was giving her any troubles. Despite his gruff appearance, he didn't seem the type to go after someone unless they rightfully deserved it. Aqua was going to assume that things were kosher unless Elsa herself told her otherwise. It would save her more stress if she decided to think like that. She supposed this was the sort of news she needed to be hearing. Even with all the bad going on, she had needed to hear that people were happy.
"I'm not sure. I've been told I have a preference to blue." she laughed. "I'd be happy to help otherwise."

"That's who they said they were" Red said thoughtfully. "A lady wi white hair an ice powers an a big giant wi red hair. Liked his clothes but his coat might be too big fo me" she laughed. Red snorted with more laughter. "An I prefer red an white" she said with some humor. "Maybe a change in color would be good fo me. But mebbe show me the good places to eat? It's been a long while since I been in this city. Not since I was a girl. I could do wi a refresha course in cuisine here"

"Yeah... I know them both," Aqua said.
She wondered what could have had them so 'caught up in each other'. Maybe it was a case? She hadn't heard of any active court cases, but then again, she had been so caught up in Grey Dawn, her fuzzy partner and the recent hostages, that a few things were bound to slip past her. The longer she sat there with Red, the longer she realized she had neglected talking to people. Again. It was a bit embarrassing that she had to go to a graveyard to get a good conversation that wasn't about impending doom of the city via tainted Sapien or other work related cases.
"Been to Nevermore yet?" Aqua asked. "The family there is very friendly. The food is just as good."

"Really? Cool. Though I guess you bein a cop an all you would know em" She said thoughtfully. Red nodded and patted her belly. "I'm worried bout gainin weight I'm in there so often!" she joked with a grin. "But th food is good an th people are nice an it's very nice bein there. Naveen prefers not comin out around it though. Seelie residue. Says it gives him a headache" Red shrugged. Spirits didn't very well like the life energy of the Seelie. Which made it more interesting that Naveen could even stand being around Aqua. Probably because of her mixed heritage.

"Their daughter, Sunshine, works at the department with me," Aqua explained. "I guess all the cops are regulars there though."
Aqua smiled. She did spend a lot of time in the café. Especially since there was a kiosk right by her work. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, plus they were careful about her 'iron allergy' and made sure not to use cutlery or things made of iron. It was nice not to have to worry about that. She couldn't count the number of times a restaurant used iron and didn't warn her. She had a few burns here and there but at least she never had to resort to bringing plastic silverware with her whenever she went out. That would be embarrassing.
"And there's a little diner not too far away from the police department. My partner and I go there on occasion." she said. "Milkshakes to die for."

"Funny, a cop whose family runs a doughnut an pastry an coffee shop" Red said with a smile. "Killin two birds wi one stone, she is" it was a nice place, with nice people. Just as she'd said before. She doubted very much that this Sunshine was a mean or nasty person, growing up with loving people like that. She nodded. "Love milkshakes. Raspberry's th best flava in m' humble opinion"

"She's always busy," Aqua said. "I don't know how she does it."
It was hard to see how Sunshine had time for anything. Granted she worked two part time jobs, but it was still a lot to do. The police force at up a lot of time, even if unintentionally because the work was literally never over. They arrested one bad guy, there would be another to take his place the next day. It was a never ending and thankless job. She was just starting to realize that now. The city was quick to turn on its heroes. But they were after a scandal just as quickly.
"I'll take your word for it. Raspberry's never been a favorite of mine." Aqua said. "Too many seeds."

"So she works there too? When does she sleep?" Red heard of extra work but that sounded a mite ridiculous. So much work at the police headquarters plus the work at the coffeeshop? that was a lot of responsibility for one person to take on. Red wondered how Sunshine did it all. Red chuckled. "I don't mind seeds. They add extra pops of flava when ya crunch down on em. It's a nice little extra bit o love in my books"

"Maybe she doesn't. She keeps going on positive energy and coffee." Aqua said.
Though, the last time she saw Sunshine, the blonde hadn't been too positive. Shadow had gone missing. The same way Terra had nearly a year ago. It was enough to set Aqua on edge, even worse for the blonde who only heard stories of how Terra had up, vanished and had never been found. She hoped Sunshine could hold out until she got back from the court. She wouldn't be gone long, that much she assured herself. She couldn't. Not when so many people had counted on her.
"Yeah... I guess." she said. "You can have them though."

"Still, a body's gotta rest sometime. Or yeh'll crash'n burn" Red mused. She got up and brushed off her knees. "It was nice meetin ya Aqua but I've dallied a lil too long. I gotta get goin an sortin through my new contracts. Plus, I got some bounties ta snatch. Can't have otha's takin my targets. A gal's gotta eat afta all" She offered Aqua a hand up and looked to Naveen. It was high time they were off.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to keep you." Aqua said quickly.
She took Red's hand and got back to her feet. She spared a glance for the two tombstones she had been de-weeding. It seemed... different now. Then she looked back up at Red. They went from so many topics. From Red's powers, to her heritage, to home décor and restaurant suggestions. Humans, even gifted ones, were strange. Aqua wouldn't deny that. But they always seemed to know what to say without being prompted. Red made this a little easier to come to the grave yard. Even if Aqua didn't think it was a place for dancing, it didn't seem so grim.
"It was nice meeting both of you." she added. "Good luck with your bounties."

"Don' be sorry, it was a good talk" Red continued brushing off pieces of grass and dead leaves from her dress and legs and looked up at Naveen, who looked down at her. "Pleasa meetin you Aqua. Good luck 'n all your endeavors" Red nodded to Naveen, picked up her bag, and walked out of the graveyard. It had been very eventful, and had paid off in more ways than one.

"Take care of the city while I'm gone," Aqua said with a light smile.
She intended to leave the next morning. There was lots to do to prepare for and she had a long way to go before she could enter the Seelie Court. If she could enter the Seelie Court. Lots of ifs and it was a long shot but worth it. But it was good to know the police were going to have a few good souls looking out for the town while she was away. She smoothed a hand through her hair. It was going to be a long week.
"And take care!"
She smiled and gave a slight wave before she started to head to the entrance of the graveyard.
