“Come on Naveen, play me somethin ta dance to!” Red swayed to an imaginary beat and winked at the spirit hovering by her with his mandolin. He sighed and rolled his eyes but smiled. She winked at him. “I wanna dance with some folks, make some friends, rustle up some contracts, summon some imps to have some back up dancers, that sorta thing darlin. I got some plans in mind” Naveen outright laughed.
”you? A plan? This I must see, Ma petite chérie” He said in between chuckles and Red stuck her tongue out at him. He shrugged and began strumming on his guitar as she began dancing right there in her red ruffled knee length dress and high-heels. slowly the air around her began shimmering as the spirits resting in the graveyard began waking up. Red smiled.

Aqua was heading to her parents' grave. She wanted to visit it, before she left on her trip to the Seelie Court. She would hopefully find help for Riku's new hairdo and maybe some answers on the faery that gave the Seddon family their powers. But before that, she waned to see her parents. They were the ones who kept her from the court. They hadn't ever taken her there so she had little to no contact with other faeries. To say that she was a little scared of what it was that kept her parents from the court, was an understatement. It was just one more stress to add.
"Hey, mom... Hey, dad..." Aqua said.
She sat down between the two gravestones. Her knees pulled up to her chest. She wrapped her arms around herself. She hadn't been to her parents' graves in nearly three years. Aqua supposed she was good at trying to avoid hurt nowadays. Until she was forced to 'face her demons' so to speak. Now... The fear that she would have to put Terra there... Or wherever his family chose to bury him if she did prove he was dead. The faery slumped before the two stones, feeling tired of being so sad all the time and frustrated with how she could let all of this just blow up in her face the way it had. She sighed before she sat back up. She reached out and started to pull the weeds from around their graves. She should have visited more. The caretaker had let the stones go.

Red laughed in delight as more and more spirits formed around her and began dancing with her, Naveen even joining in with her, he even started laughing in delight at the fun they were having. Red took out sheets of paper from her bag sitting near her feet and held them up to the spirits, who in turn put their hands on the paper and marked it with red ink ,making different patterns half formed. When Red needed them all she had to do was finish the patterns and mutter an incantation and the spirit's name. The name was on the back of the papers for her.
"Have you got what you needed?" asked Naveen and Red nodded.
"Ayuh. Got what I came for. Now ta find an old grimmoire to get some lower demon's names and summon circles. I'm runnin' sinfully low on proper contracts. I used a bunch for the Sapien bust" she snorted in dry laughter and started walking out of the place but stopped when she saw a blue haired woman sitting amongst the tombstones, looking miserable and cleaning the tombstones. Red walked over to her. "Hey sug. Why so glum? It may be a graveyard but there's still some joy here" though the joy didn't typically come from the living but from the souls that were content. But joy nonetheless.

Aqua felt a pressure first. Then she looked up. A woman in red. She seemed familiar but Aqua couldn't quite place her. Maybe they briefly passed one another. She clenched her hand around the fist full of weeds, continuing her pruning of the two tombstones she neglected. The woman didn't seem unbalanced enough to just randomly attack a stranger so Aqua was going to let things go as they would.
"I... I've never seen it as a very happy place." Aqua said.
She honestly couldn't see how a place so full of sad memories could be happy. Sad because of the people you cared about who were gone. Sad because that was it, the end. She did deflect. Try to skip past why she was there and why she was sad. Her parents and all the other stresses she had due to her line of work.

"Sure thing it's a happy place. Sad too, but mostly happy. This is where spirits dwell, where they can dance if they want. Nobody sees them, but I tell ya true, they're dancing" Being a summoner and sometimes medium left Red with a unique perspective on life and death. "Death's just anotha step forward in life" she continued with a wave of her hand. "Like bein born. But it's happy. Hard to explain, but most spirits don't have unfinished business weighin em down so they are happy. Some are sad, but most...well" she laughed. "I must sound like a crazy, but 'm not. Just a summona of spirits and lessa demons" she sat by the girl and stuck out her hand. "I'm Red"

"I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree then," Aqua said.
She didn't know anything about spirits 'dancing' in the graveyards. The place certainly brought forth no cheer. The woman struck her as odd. Strange. She summoned spirits and demons for a living? As far as Aqua was concerned, no good could come from demons. Her own experiences were a good reason why. Vanitas wasn't a lesser demon but he tried to kill her roommate, cursed her partner, attacked four people and killed. She didn't think 'lesser' demons could be any better. So she was a bit cautious and regarded Red warily.
"I'm Aqua." she replied before shaking 'Red's' hand.

"You wanna see em dance sweetie?" Red asked with a chuckle. "If ya dance real pretty, they join in. Gets all misty an cold while they dance ,I can see em with the help of my spirit guardian Naveen" who had disappeared with the introduction of the blue haired woman. He was never a shy one, just cautious. Being one of the few spirits that could let himself be seen by normal people, he had to be. Red ignored the wary look given by this Aqua and shook her hand heartily. "I'm sensin a lot of sadness surroundin ya" she said conversationally. "Wanna talk bout what's buggin ya?"

"D-Dance? No. I..."
She didn't think she could bear to see that, especially if she saw three particular ghosts (or rather one who she was hoping against hope was dead). If she saw him too... She didn't think she would manage the resolve to go to the Seelie Court like she promised Riku and Sunshine. Though... It might help prove Vanitas even more guilty. But she needed her heart to be a little stronger than it was if she was going to the Court to ask for help for humans no less. She didn't think that it would do her any good to be reminded of how things should have been.
"I was just... visiting my parents." she said as she gestured to their stones. "It's been too long."

Red regarded her with a mix of pity and understanding and patted her knee. "S'okay. Not ev'ryone can handle seein the spirits. Ya gotta be ready to face reality about it all" Red hadn't been able to summon spirits, not for several years. She just hadn't been emotionally ready for what she might see, despite assurances from Naveen. Red nodded as Aqua explained what she was doing and reached for some weeds herself. "That's good darlin. Spirits like visitors. You'll feel better afterwards, it's usually the case" she looked over in the direction of her brother's grave and smiled sadly towards where he rested. She probably needed to visit him.

Aqua bit her lip. She didn't want to think of her parents as spirits. She wanted to believe they were just gone. Gone and out of this world so she didn't have to feel so guilty. Or Terra. She would probably lose it if he showed up, just like Shadow predicted he would. Terra and her parents were 'spirits' that she would be most afraid of meeting.
"I don't think I could face them." she said.
She was terrified of that. What if she was a disappointment, after all she did? What if they were angry with her for how she lived her life? For letting things turn out the way they did? What if they just never came when they were summoned? A rejection Aqua didn't think she would ever have to consider. She shook her head. Dancing or not, she couldn't withstand that.
"H-How's the whole spirit thing work?" she asked, trying to get the topic off of her hurt.

Red patted her leg again. "Most people can't" she soothed kindly. "I couldn't after....well just after. But there was nothin ta worry bout when I finally did the summonin. I was forgiven" Naveen appeared again and looked at Red reprovingly.
"You're pushing her, Red sweetie" he said and Red laughed a bit self consciously.
"Am I? Oh dear .Sometimes I do it without realizin" at the question Red hummed thoughtfully and shrugged. "We-ell, it's hard to explain. But there are otha planes of existence humans can't reach in these bodies but we can reach when we die. Summoners have small access to these planes of existence and can ask the folks residin in em to come back to this plane for a small while. Sometimes just to talk, or do specific things. Easy areas to summon are places with a lotta death, like graveyards. So I summon and make contracts so's I can call specific spirits easy an ask em to help me out" She took a deep breath and laughed. "Sorry honey if I overwhelmed ya with my explainin. That's just the basics"

Aqua opted to bite her tongue on the whole 'forgiveness' matter. She was just afraid of what spirits she would see. She couldn't see her parents again. Not after what happened. And if she saw her ex then it was only confirmation of what she had been denying since he disappeared. Perhaps it was a good thing too. A man appeared beside Red, good humored and kindly patient but still, he hadn't been there before and then he was there the next. Aqua wasn't sure what to make of the duo. They were just so nonchalant about spirits and demons. Aqua had been taught in the academy to be wary of them. It was hard just to change that line of thinking just because Red said they were safe.
"No. I understand," she said. She might not agree with it, but she understood. "I can't do that sort of stuff."
She was talking about her own magic at that point. Her magic was supposed to help. Good luck spells, wellness, wealth, etcetera, etcetera. She could fight but it had taken a while to learn offensive spells and she might have believed that it had something to do with her Unseelie father that she was able to do that at all.

"Oh good fer understandin" she smiled. "Not everyone can, s'okay. I come from a family of summoners actually. We're just attuned to the other realms I guess" Summoners who had ostracized her at the tender age of ten when her brother, the family's golden child, had died. Her brother had forgiven her for what happened, but her living family still had yet to try to find her, to forgive her. It didn't matter anyway. At least that's what Red kept telling herself. "So, anythin you can do?"

"I'll have to admit, I've never heard of anyone doing what you can." Aqua said.
Summoners were outside of Aqua's realm of experience. She had only seen what Others she had on the force. Would this make Red a gifted human or Other? And what of her ghostly companion? Aqua shifted a little in her spot. The ghost hadn't done anything. It was just... strange. That was the best word she could use to describe him. The whole situation was odd. Just sitting their among her parents' tombstones and talking about summoning spirits was a little dizzying for her. She took a deep breath and felt a little calmer.
"I'm just a faery. Nothing special." she replied.
She wasn't even good at being the Seelie faery she claimed to be. People she knew were getting hurt left and right. A lot of things happened that she just couldn't control. Or more importantly fix.

"We're a private sort" Red explained with a wave of her hand. "We don't advertise our powas much. People would be beggin for us ta summon lost love ones for all sorts of reasons and we'd neva get stuff done. I at least give my services to th police as a bounty hunta" she smiled up at Naveen who rolled his eyes affectionately.
"Sometimes I think she cares more about how she looks than she does about the bounties" He joked to Aqua as he strummed on his guitar. Red stuck her tongue out at him and then laughed.
"I don't, I care bout justice more'n anythin, even if I have to work outside the justice system to see justice happen" she confided to Aqua. She nodded when the young woman told her she was a faery. "That's still pretty cool. Neva met a fae folk in th flesh befo" she said with a chuckle. "I'd say yo plenty special, but that's just me"
