"You're welcome back any time you like." he said.
He had a few police officers come in. Bounty hunters would make no difference. As long as the 'hunting' was outside of the bar, but Red seemed too polite to try anything inside the bar. She would likely lure the chump outside and subdue him there. She did say she made contracts with spirits and lesser demons, hadn't she? She was able to hold her own magically. After putting down that drunk, she proved she could outmatch most of the people who came her way.
"And to make things fair, if I see anyone with a bounty or anyone you're hunting after, you're my first call." he said.

"Good. I'd like ta come back an relax. No huntin here though. Yer too nice for me to scare customers away" she grinned at him and drank the rest of her first drink before eating some more wings. She tried to subdue her targets in places that wouldn't harm people's place of work. "Aw, you're sweet. It'll totally make my job easier than it normally is, havin a contact like you to help" she said with a grateful smile. "You're a sweetie"

"I'd appreciate that." he said.
He had a few people with records who came to the bar. He would like it if they kept coming. He kept the atmosphere friendly and as accommodating as he could make it. But Red wouldn't scare them off. Some of them were just as rough and tough as she appeared sweet and gentle. He smiled. Humans. Looks could be so deceiving with their species.
"Just take it easy on the minor offenders when you do take 'em in." Axel shrugged. "I don't mind helping the authorities. Some of the people you nab just need to be set straight. Keeps the streets safer."

"No prob sug. We all gotta make a livin. I'll just entice my targets outside one way or anotha" She laughed and smiled at him, a hard smile with nothing but teeth. "Babydoll I only net the real bad ones. Like murderers and traffickers. I don't tolerate th' asses that are despicable enough to kill or sell humans when their species ain't known fo that. Demons, I let it slide. But a bad troll or human? their ass is mine"

"Unless I get those types first. How do you like them cooked?" he asked.
He hated those types, but seldom ever crossed their paths. The times he had, well, it hadn't ended well for the other party. Those were the times he was extra vigilant for his workers. He supposed he was going to have to be, especially with the prison bust. Some of those sleazy freaks were likely to have gotten out and not caught yet. The police could only re-arrest so many people so fast. They also had the entire city to think about. It was hard to catch every single one of them in one night.
"Free of charge of course. It'll be a take out order." he grinned.

"Rare and wriggling. I gotta make money offa them. You can kill em after I get the reward. Or just burn em an I'll take em in as 'damaged goods' she said with a faint smile. "We could team up fo a night or two if yeh like. My summonin skills wi your fire skills an we'll hit th town. Two redheads make th party more interestin ya know?"

"If you'd have a demon for a part time partner." Axel shrugged.
Some people were cowed by what he was. He doubted that was Red. But, he also had to put it out there. he was not the type of demon to make the types of contracts Red usually held. The only contracts he took these days were the legal binding type, protected and upheld by the law. Safer for him that way in case some nut case got it in their head to go after angels (and seriously, who would want to do that?) and try to 'contract' him out. He was far stronger than them, at the same time, he was less likely to stab her in the back.
"I'm sure my vigilante days are over. Trying to keep my nose clean." he explained. "Used to do it back when I was a brat. But maybe if I need to come up with some quick cash."

"I'm always up fo rubbin elbows with all sorts. Demons included" she sipped on her drink. "Keepin yo nose clean is a valid concern. But, I keep my nose clean fo th most part. I go through the proper channels an I meet th right people to make sure everythin I do is legal. We just rough people up within th law an don't get in trouble fo it"

"Good to hear," Axel grinned.
And it was. It seemed the more people he talked to, the more were open to 'his sort'. Granted he scared the Hell out of Adeline when he first met her and that certainly took a great deal of coaxing and reassurances on his part, but the kid came back to him a few weeks later to vent to him about this 'immoral' crush of hers. The older man she refused to name.
"I was a bit of a hothead growing up. I didn't exactly do my vigilantism legally." Axel added.

"Vigilantes typically work outside a th law so I figured" She answered with a dismissive wave of her hand. Yes, she sometimes had to bring in a vigilante that went too far, but they were few and far between. "Darlin, I work wi demons an spirits on a regula basis. D'ya really think I'd do so if I hated Demon kind? You, me, some no-good an a good laugh at their expense when they behind bars. We'd be a dynamic duo or somethin" she wouldn't mind making a legal contract with Axel. Legal if only so they could be a legitimate team and not master and servant like her other summons.

"It's one thing to work with the demons you contract." Axel shrugged. "But I'm glad you're more open minded than most."
There were very few people who wanted to work with a demon. That's why he went into business for himself. Not to mention, the staff he had working for him, either didn't know he was a demon (thinking he was a gifted human with fire powers) or were so desperate that any job would work, regardless of who the employer was. But he hadn't gotten flack from any of his workers so that was positive.
"But sure, call me when you're short handed. I'll be there."

She lowered her head and shrugged. "Grew up wi demons, why would I hate em?" she asked with a bitter smile. Her contracts and Naveen had literally raised her after she turned nine. Those first demons weren't just summons; they were family. More family than her biological family besides her brother had been. Naveen might have been a spirit but he made sure she ate regularly and slept in relatively safe places. The demons made sure she didn't get bullied or targeted on the streets and she lived a pretty good life on the streets, even getting schooled by her 'family'. Maybe she wasn't as educated as some people, but she could get by. "I'll call ya then" she agreed with a wink and a smile.

"Just saying. Not everyone likes them. Us." he said, correcting himself as he went.
The last thing he wanted to do was make one of his patrons uncomfortable. However, his species always tended to get brought up. He found it was better by being honest. But Red had a sad look about her as she spoke. He didn't know how to make that one go away so he pressed on like he didn't see it. There were some things he had to let his patrons tell him, and others he could pry out of them.
He smiled back. "Good. Looking forward to it."

"Well, us summoners are almost as unpopular, being able to call ya guys up whenever" she said with a shrug. "You got a fellow outcast here" she chuckled. "Redheads always got more fun than normal people. Cuz we're fire balls" her face crinkled into a smile. "Pun wholeheartedly intended there sug" she began eating again, though not as fast as before. The edge of hunger had been taken off and now she could actually enjoy her meal. "I'm lookin for dependable partners anywho. Sometimes summons just don't cut it, ya get me?"

"I doubt you'd be entirely outcasted in the city. There's a surprising amount of demon-tolerant people here." he said. "Sure a summoner wouldn't be that far of a stretch. Fiery redhead or not."
He smiled. Her joke wasn't missed, which was why he cracked his own. He got at lot of fire based jokes thrown at them, which is why he started to roll with the punches. Yes, he believed that Red would have an easier time, especially if she started rubbing elbows with the BPD. They were pretty open people. They dealt with a lot of Others and gifted humans. Though Red sort of sat in the middle of the two definitions.
"Yeah, I get you." he said.
