Adrien had been on house arrest for the next few days after he just appeared in his bed. Granted, he had been missing and his father had been trying to find him (if only for the fact that Adrien was the only heir to the company). But he managed to sneak out again, repercussions be damned, because Yang was getting released from the hospital that day. He promised to be there. Except this time, he was doing it as himself. As Adrien. He climbed down the tree outside his window and rushed to the hospital. Though he did take some precautions. He had a ball cap to hide his hair and some shades (thick aviators) to hide his eyes.
He went into the lobby and started filling out the release forms. He also gave the nurse his card to pay for Yang's stay. It wouldn't be noticed by his father's accountant because he was using his personal bank account. He was a grown adult. He could spend his money however he liked. If that meant footing the bill for the girl he liked, then he would do it. His father and his accountant's opinions be damned.

Yang didn't know exactly who was picking her up. The doctors had only told her that some guy was at the lobby, filling out any paperwork he had to to take her home. Personally, Yang felt like that could be anybody. Regardless, she was glad to be getting out of the hospital. Of course, she'd need to come back soon to make sure her arm was healing up alright, but still. At least she'd be home. And she could take things at her own pace. Frankly, she wanted nothing more than to just sit on her couch and not leave for a while. She didn't leave the hospital with much. Just a few meds and the clothes she had on, which consisted of some jeans and a T shirt. Omar had been good enough to grab some stuff from her closest so she'd have something decent to wear when she left. As she came into the lobby, she saw that it was Adrien who was there to pick her up, and her heart skipped a beat. Even with the hat and glasses, she knew it was him. She may not have been able to see through his disguises in the past, but she knew him better now. She could tell.
She remembered her conversation with Shadow, and what he had implied about how Adrien (or Chat, as Shadow knew him) felt about her. Yang wasn't sure if she wanted confirmation of that or not. What Adrien might say made nervous, paranoid butterflies flutter inside her stomach. Regardless of whether he actually loved her or not, both options terrified her. She couldn't imagine being with anybody else, yet could Adrien really be satisfied with a girl that was as broken and messed up as she was? She shook her head, trying to get rid of any other thoughts related to that. She couldn't ask about them now, not in the middle of the hospital lobby. She took in a deep breath before managing to put a smile on her face and walked over. "Nice shades," she teased, gesturing towards Adrien's sunglasses.

Adrien perked up when heard a soft voice. He smiled brightly up at Yang. It was good to see her. Anything he was put through was worth it to see her. His father could yell at him for as long as he wanted. He could even send him away on some trip to get his 'mind off things' in the city. But Adrien just seeing her smile was enough to put the young man on cloud nine. And the good thing was, she hadn't hit him again. So that was a plus in his books.
"All the better to see you with, Princess." he replied.
So he might have just let all the flood gates open after she found out who he was. He was Chat. He was Adrien. With Yang, he could be both at once. The masks blurred together making him as he was. Both the fierce and flirty thief while at the same time the polite and civil gentleman he was raised to be. That was a sort of freedom he hadn't realized that he wanted. It was a relief to be able to act that way, without holding anything back. He might have professed he would have liked to date her, but for now, she needed him to take a step back, give her space to breathe. So he would act as if nothing had changed between them. Just two friends. For as long as she needed him to be.
"I heard you were in need of an escort home. I'd be happy to offer my services." he said, holding out his arm for her.

Yang's smile grew, if only a little bit. He may be Adrien, but he still acted like Chat in some ways. Yang just hoped that no reporters or fangirls were waiting to ambush him. The last thing she needed was to deal with that, and they'd probably have questions about why Adrien Agreste was escorting home a girl that only had one arm. "Hope you don't mind the hospital bleeding you dry," she said. Of course, if the rumors about how much money Adrien had was true, this probably wouldn't make much of a dent in it. The Agrestes could probably buy half the city if they wanted. Still, she appreciated Adrien doing this. She probably wasn't going to be having any income for a while. People in the job market weren't exactly looking for girls that had one arm. Sunshine had assured her she'd talk to Riku about lending her some more money, and Yang had reluctantly agreed with that plan, even if part of her still hated asking people for help. She figured there'd always be a part of her that would hate to do it, even if it was necessary in cases like this. She was probably going to have to get a lot of help now, until she could do fine on her own with one arm. She was brought out of her thoughts though by Adrien holding out his arm. Her smile returned, and she hooked her left arm around his. "Did you bring a limo like most rich people have in movies?" she joked. That seemed to be the stereotype. That, or they had other fancy cars, like a lamborghini.

"If it's for a friend, it's a good cause." he said.
He believed that of the entire BPD force, even the people he had yet to meet. He mostly felt that they had been down on their luck. People liked to drag down their heroes the moment things got bad. Like blaming Shadow for what happened. Or why the police weren't good enough to catch all the criminals that got out in one night? He wanted them to know that they had someone in their corner. Hence Chat Noir. He could do things as Chat that Adrien couldn't do and vice versa.
"I uh, kind of snuck out of the house... So no limo..." he said with a blush.
Plus, he didn't want to push her through that. No. He had brought his own personal car. He led her out to the parking lot. He fished his keys out of his pocket and hit the unlock button. A soft top convertible across from them flashed it's lights, signalling it was unlocked. The car was jet black with a single green racing stripe down either side. Very Chat Noir-themed. He opened the passenger door for her and smiled with a flourished bow.
"After you, Princess," he said.

A good cause. Yang wondered how long Adrien would consider her a "good cause." She was still worried that her friends might ditch her when they saw she wasn't getting any better. She knew it had been less than a month since she had lost her arm, but still. A lot of her friends had been giving her pep talks, telling her not to give up, and she hadn't responded well to most of them. Thinking about the future made her nervous. She just wanted to focus on the present. And right now, that involved letting Adrien take her home. She glanced up when he mentioned he had to sneak out. "What did your dad flip out about?" she asked. She still found it ridiculous, that Adrien's father had this much control over him. Adrien wasn't a little kid anymore. He could make his own decisions. Still, she wasn't sure how she could help with that, or if she even could. What if she just made things worse? As Adrien fished his keys out of his pocket, she noticed the little convertible that was his car. She had to smile at the black and green color scheme. It did remind her of Adrien as Chat, when you couldn't see much except his black outfit and his intense green eyes. "Jeez. I don't know if I've ever been in a car this fancy," she said, hesitating for a moment before getting inside. Her parents had made an average income. Their cars had been pretty decent, but nothing like this. She probably stood out against something as nice as this.

"I - or well - Adrien, went missing during the prison riots. Chat Noir was helping the police." he explained. "So I think I'm on house arrest?"
He shrugged. He was an adult. He could very well move out if he wanted to. Except his father would literally have a live in-secretary/personal assistant/bodyguard so he technically wouldn't be alone. No point in moving out if his father was never home in the first place. He would go along with it until his father forgot about it. Like he normally did.
"First time for everything, right?" he asked a little uncertainly.
He shut the car door and crossed over to the driver's side. He flashed her a smile as he slid into the car. He would have let the top of the car down if he wasn't afraid his hat would fall off. Last thing they needed to do was start a helicopter chase with the paparazzi because he was taking Yang for a joyride. He just played it casual as he started the car and revved the engine.
"Welcome, Princess, to your chariot. Where to first?"

"Oh." That explained it. Adrien must have really run himself ragged if he was out so much that his dad thought he was missing. But he was still in one piece, and Yang couldn't spot any injuries on him, so she figured he couldn't have gotten hurt or anything. He was just tired. Yang could relate to that. When she used to fight, she could get exhausted sometimes just from the adrenaline rush alone, even if she hadn't gotten hurt that much. Of course, those days seemed to be behind her now. Who knew if she could ever do it again. When Adrien asked where she wanted to go, she faltered for a moment in trying to think of an answer. Honestly, she wanted to just go home and do something lazy, like lie on the couch. But Adrien had gone out of his way to pick her up. Surely, there was one place they could hit up before she went home. "Want to get some lunch to go, then head back to my place?" she asked. Some fast food sounded pretty good right now, and it would be a nice change from all the hospital food she had been eating over the past few weeks. Although, part of her wondered what Adrien would think of her place. Sure, she had an actual house and not an apartment, but still. It was probably miniature compared to his mansion, and it didn't have a ton of fancy stuff.

"He'll get over it." Adrien dismissed. "But sure. Lunch coming right up..."
He had to fight back the urge to peel out of the parking lot like a bat out of hell. One, it was probably not the best for her in her condition, though he did think if she liked driving fast cars, he could get her to a race track sometime. Two, he would likely attract attention and that was something neither of them wanted. Three, police. Enough said there.
"Anything you want in particular?" he asked as he drove.
He spared a glance at her but kept his eyes mostly on the road. It was harder though. He didn't often drive himself around. His father probably thought he couldn't drive. Adrien had managed to convince his father's assistant Natalie that it was a good idea to know how, in case he ever had to. Though, he was half certain she was only tired of him begging to know how to.

"A burger would be nice," Yang replied. Burgers were pretty satisfying, and you could eat them with one hand. Plus, they were cheap. Adrien was already spending so much on her, Yang wanted to add as little money as possible. She glanced out the window of the car, noticing that things seemed to go on relatively normal. She wasn't sure what exactly she expected, though. It had been a while since the prison break. It wasn't like she expected the city to still be in full-on riot mode. Still, it seemed like Bellerouge had moved on from the incident. And here she was, still stuck in it. The more she tried not to think about it, the more it popped up into her mind, especially at night. One of her new medicines was supposed to help with that. She just wondered if it would actually work. "Seems like things are recovering alright out there," she commented, wishing that she could do the same.

"As you wish!" Adrien grinned. "Actually a burger sounds great right now. Can't tell you how many times I've been told not to eat them."
He laughed. Some of the best things in life were forbidden. Much like Yang herself. He would complicate things for her if she got involved with him, but she drew him in like a magnet. It was hard to fight that when he just wanted to be around her and make her smile again. He started heading to a nearby burger joint. If anyone recognized him, if anyone even thought he was there, the media would catch wind of it. He just going to have to pay cash and be careful. Nothing new. Especially when he was crashing his 'diet'.
"Some areas were hit harder than others. The prison is closer to Garcon Perdu. So things are... not great there." he admitted. "But I'm going to make some calls. See who needs help."

"Hey, you can get 'em fast, you can eat them pretty easily on the go, and you can have them any way you want. What's not to like?" Yang asked. Adrien probably couldn't eat burgers all the time, since he had to keep his model figure. But still. If his dad was lecturing him about the dangers of burgers when Adrien was this old, he needed to mind his own business. It was Adrien's body, not his. On the topic of the city though, it looked like Adrien was still going out as often as he could to help out. Yang wished she could do the same, but at the same time, she'd probably just make things worse. Besides, it wasn't like she could help out much with just one arm. She couldn't fight any of the criminals still running around. She couldn't lift any heavy stuff. She could still make a decent flame with her hand, but it probably wasn't as powerful with just one instead of two. Yang wondered if Chat would work with any of the cops out there. Maybe he'd just stick with Sunshine. At least she knew he was a decent person. The only other cop who seemed to know that was Shadow, and he was in the hospital right now. Plus, who knew if he'd even go back to the force. It looked like things were tense between them, now that a good chunk of people knew that he was the son of the devil, including Adrien. She wondered how he felt about that. As casually as she could, she asked "So...have you talked with Shadow lately?"

"According to everyone in the fashion industry? Hamburgers are evil!" He chuckled. "Greasy death traps that will end your career!"
He laughed over that one. Just because they were greasy, it didn't mean they were evil. Everyone needed comfort food every now and then. Hot burgers, salty fries and maybe a milkshake. Yeah, that was the way to go if there ever was one. He supposed he could die happy if that would be his last meal, but luckily for him, ironic for the black cat, it wouldn't be. So he pulled into a drive through and waited his turn like everyone else to pull up to the window.
"Shadow? Kind of." Adrien said. "Sunshine was trying to track him down and thought the graveyard was the best place to go... Since Maria. And then this demon named Disparion showed up. Things got a little complicated after that. I did see him, but I didn't talk with him."
Other than to say he had been too injured to carry on the way he had. The whole situation had sat wrong with the thief. Probably because it got too crowded. He didn't go showing himself to just anyone and now, his existence had been leaked by Sunshine. He wasn't sure how to feel about it. At least Yang was the only one who knew who he was.
"What do you want to get?" he asked.

"Well, it's not like you're gonna be model-hot forever," Yang said. "Don't they fire people, like, as soon as they get bags under their eyes or something?" That seemed to be the stereotype, at least. As soon as somebody looked over the age of 30, they were booted off and replaced by somebody else. Modeling agencies wanted perfect bodies, and if you didn't have one, they didn't want you. It was stupid, in Yang's opinion. She didn't know how Adrien's dad could keep him doing it for so long. He'd probably crunch under the pressure if he had to take his son's place and pose in front of all those stupid cameras. Adrien mentioned Shadow casually, but Yang could feel goosebumps raise on her arm at the mention of Disparion. Shadow had mentioned him before, and he sounded pretty scary just from the way he talked about him. "Yeah. He told me about...the whole 'son of the devil' thing." She remembered him mentioning Chat knew about that, along with Sunshine and a few others. Yang didn't think that changed who Shadow was, and the fact that he was a good person, but she wondered if everyone else felt the same. "Bacon cheeseburger," she replied when Adrien asked what she wanted. "Extra bacon." That was always the kind of burger she liked.

"Me-ouch." Adrien said. "Not going to be hot forever? That hurts."
There were models who pushed the cusp of 'young and hot'. Some of them were so devoted to their bodies they didn't have time for a personal life. His father pushed that, tried to force Adrien into that lifestyle, but that was why the young man rebelled. Like learning to drive or sneaking burgers with a pretty girl. If Adrien turned out to be 40 and look 20, then people would still buy his stuff, but there was no guarantee of that, so his father was using him now. Had been using him since he was old enough to model. Adrien secretly looked forward to his 'retirement' from the modeling industry. He would probably still be a star after that because of his father's influence in the fashion industry, but that was ages away.
"So you heard about that..." Adrien mused.
Adrien still needed to let that one sink in. A lot had happened and there was a lot for him to process. It didn't make him see Shadow any differently. Shadow was Shadow. He was a good guy and a good friend. His dad was just a little more messed up than most. That was saying a lot considering Adrien's own relationship with his father. Non-existent at best.
"Extra bacon? My hero." he said, feigning a swoon.
He pulled up, placed their orders and paid once he got up to the front window. To his relief, no one recognized him at the drive through. Two bacon cheeseburgers, extra bacon on both, extra toppings (like lettuce, pickles and mayo on his), a side of fries and two shakes (a vanilla and chocolate). He didn't know Yang's preference but he hoped she would like one of them.
