Wally smiled a tiny gentle smile, it sounded like Chat cared about the people of this town as much as he did. He still couldn't believe how so many people were left off with nothing. Though, the crime streaks were probably to be blamed for that. "It's never easy is it?" he asked sadly. "I wish there were other ways to help these people."
If anything he thought that when he was saving others, at least he was making children feel happy. He always tried to at least go to the hospitals when no one was looking and hung out with the injured. It wasn't much but it was the best heroes could do. At least he was trying to protect others, like his mom would have wanted.
"Don't suppose you would want an extra hand..or paw with that. Two hands are better than one."

"There are, if people are willing to work for them. You know, after school programs, rehab centers, homeless shelters. The city needs more of those." he said.
But those cost money. Aside from Adrien himself, not many of the rich and famous would do that. Adrien just knew that he had more wealth than he had time on the earth to spend it all. While he was still young and what the model industry considered gorgeous, he would always have more money than he knew what to do with. So unlike his father, Adrien donated to charity, he helped fund those projects and supported political opponents who believed in making the city better. He also had the resources to know who in the 'upper crust' were rotten apples. Those people became his targets and he would steal from them. Or leave an evidence trail for the police to catch.
"True... And you are faster than me." Adrien said. "So... Meet me by the docks sometime next week."
Adrien could admit that easily. There was no competition. Kid Flash was faster than he would ever be or ever hope to be. The job would get done quicker and the best part was, with the two of them, they could help even more people at once. Help would ne nice, so Adrien wouldn't turn him down.

The docks next week. he could do that. Literally, with his powers he could have all the time in the world. "It's a done deal." he said, looking up at the cat again. It felt a bit weird looking up at the cat, though he didn't want to tell the other to come down and talk to him face to face. He wasn't that petty.
He realized that despite the fun, there were a few things troubling him. "So, this demon that broke everyone out, was he caught?"
What about the other prisoners? Were any of them behind bars now? It hadn't occurred to him that that was why people were a bit on edge. Crime was everywhere but this was bigger than just a bank robbery. This was a demon, something that once Wally would have never believed in, at least not until he got his powers. If this demon wasn't caught, maybe he could try to catch him.

Adrien's eyes widened. An overwhelming sense of dread crept up his spine. Was Kid Flash thinking what Adrien feared he was? He dropped down from his perch. He took a few steps closer to Kid Flash before remembering himself. He couldn't get too close. Kid Flash was faster than he was. If he figured out Adrien wasn't exactly a legal 'good guy' then he would end up the one behind bars. Still, Kid Flash seemed like a good guy, if a bit impulsive and show-offy. Adrien was too when he donned the mask.
"Don't try to go after him." Adrien warned. "Thrax is dangerous. He... He cut of a women's arm when he busted in. She was trying to save a kid. And he attacked another..."
Both Yang and Weiss were important to him. So knowing what happened to them cut Adrien. Deeply.

"Relax Scat Cat, I don't plan on going after him." he said, "Believe me I am not that suicidal." Not yet anyways. The idea of going after a demon when he even sometimes had a hard time taking down harder criminals was not something he planned on doing, at least not until he had a plan. Even then though, Wally didn't think that going up against a demon was a good idea . He was still getting used to the town, not to mention, superspeed may work against a demon but the boy did not want to test that out just yet. There was something in Chat's tone that caused him to lower his arms and look serious. This demon had cut off a woman's arm? And attacked another? Wally took a calm breath ignoring that this fists were already clenched. Women had gotten hurt, not only was this something that he hated, but it made him angry. Harsh memories were already burning in his mind. "I just needed to know if he was caught or not, know who to watch out for." If this character had friends Wally wanted to know who to look out for and who to protect if things got dicey. "I probably wouldn't even go after a demon before I got my powers anyways, didn't believe in them until now." He shrugged trying to look care free. "These people he attacked....are they okay?" One had gotten their arm cut off. Chances are that messed with people mentally, and based on what Chat said, it probably had effected the child who had been saved as well. |

Not just his life, but everyone. He might have just met Kid Flash, but he didn't want to see him get hurt either. Thrax was merciless, which made him much more threatening than others that Adrien had met before. He literally had nothing to lose. Except his life. Those were the worst types of guys in Adrien's opinion. Like that demon that held two girls hostage. It was just bad all around.
"He wasn't caught." Adrien sighed.
That was the worst part. He had gotten away. He was still out there, doing heaven knows what. He could be planning something worse, or targeting someone else. Next time he could kill someone. Then what? He shuddered to think about it. And if he went after Yang again, Adrien didn't think his heart could take it if anything happened to her. Or to Weiss. He would have to visit the other young woman at some point. See how she was doing.
"They're... They'll need some time before they bounce back after this one," he said.

Wally felt a little bit bad about his comment, he had his moments of being sarcastic. This was not the right time for it. His green eyes lowered a bit as he crossed his arms. The people who had been hurt by this demon, obviously Chat cared about them. There was a ton in his voice, this was his city as much as it was Wally's.
"Geez, there I go running my big mouth and you've seemed to experience it first hand." He rubbed his neck sheepishly. Maybe he could be able to help the others who had gotten hurt by the demon, he wasn't sure how but Wally wanted to try to help. Demons, who would have thought? "Sorry about that, I tend to let my mouth speak before my brain can realize what I've said."
A sigh escaped him. "I don't plan on taking on a demon, like I said, that's not really my field." But if a demon did try to hurt someone on his watch, that would be when Wally stepped in. "If there's anything I can do to help the...people who were hurt from Thrax's attack, let me know."

"Not like you knew." Adrien replied. "Everything about it is in the papers, just... make sure to take what you read at a grain of salt. They made it sound like the guy went on a killing spree."
Kid Flash was still new to this hero stuff, at least the city. But reading the paper daily would give him some idea of what happened to the city before he donned the mask. Adrien read at least three different papers to make sure he got the right take on things. The papers had a way of skewing the truth to sell a better story. Thrax was dangerous, but he hadn't gone into a crowded area and started mowing down anyone in his path. That was a gross exaggeration. He was still dangerous nevertheless.
"I'm not sure what there is to do." he said. "I don't know how to make this better except for catching the guy."
That was probably the worst part. This was out of Adrien's realm of expertise. He didn't know how to help Yang be confident in herself again, or not hate herself for what happened. He hadn't gone to see Weiss yet because of his 'house arrest' but planned to do so soon. His father would at least allow that because it was an act of kindness to the Lafayette family. Of course the Agreste family had to 'share their condolences' and 'congratulate' Weiss for her courage. Adrien just wanted to see if she was okay.

There was pain, a lot of it in the tone of Chat's words, warning and pain. The other masked boy clearly felt hurt that this was going on. That these people were hurt, maybe they were close friends of his? It was the only explanation. He barely even knew Chat that well but knowing how he hurt was enough for Wally to want to cheer him up or try to help. Wally knew the pain of not being able to protect someone he loved.
Read the newspapers. That would be the first start, at least to know what was going on. The teen had barely even read the newspaper except for the comics. That would have to change. He nodded, catch a demon. That wasn't on his list of things to do but the best thing that the speedster could do was keep an eye out and maybe pass word of it to this Other Units. Slowly, he approached Chat, and offered a gloved hand and a friendly smile.
"Well, if there's anything you can think of that I can do to help these people or even yourself. I will be willing to lend a hand or even a ear if you need it."

Adrien's look became a little wary when Kid Flash started getting closer. He didn't know if he was going to have to run for it or if this was okay. He didn't know where the other stood on 'stealing from the rich to give back to the poor' or 'breaking and entering to get dirt on corrupt rich elites'. It was a moral area that wasn't easily discussed on the first meeting, or well, ever. But he also didn't want to make Kid Flash look bad if people found out they had been around the other. However, he forced himself to stay where he was. Keeping a careful watch on the vibrant speedster.
"You'll be the first one I go to." Adrien said.
He shook Kid Flash's hand. Silently deciding that if he was going to be around the guy more, a nick name or something was necessary. He couldn't exactly shout 'Kid Flash, look out!' very fast.

Wally lowered his hand, his smile remained. Chat Noir was an interesting character. A little skittish but nice (plus maybe the whole skittish thing had to do with his cat outfit?) Wally decided it was better not to ask, that was not something that people who met for the first time did anyways. It was enough for him to at least be glad, that he met someone who knew the situations around the town.
Otherwise he would be stuck. Who also knew what other kind of interesting people he would meet in this place? Hopefully he would avoid the demon. "I know Kid Flash is a bit of a mouthful," it wasn't like he was reading Chat's mind but he kind of knew things like this was bound to come up. "If its easier you can just call me KF."
No way was he going to tell him his real name. Not yet.

KF. It was easier to say. Even if it wasn't like Adrien's usual nicknames. Granted, to be fair, he mainly gave those to women. He didn't have one for Shadow after all. Shadow didn't exactly inspire nicknames, aside from Mr. Prickly and Grumpy McGrumperson. Yang was his princess. My Lady was special and just for Rapunzel. Though now that he thought about it, he didn't go meeting up with a lot of people. Probably didn't help that his alias was a wanted criminal. He grinned. Such was the life of the unlucky black cat of Bellerouge.
"So first night in and you're already taking out the trash..." he said, gesturing to the fallen man.

Wally couldn't help but laugh at the comment. "I suppose that's what I would call it that, just trying to help out as all." He said. "There's only so much the cops can do. Not that they are doing a bad job but sometimes they just need someone else behind the scenes." It was the least he could do after all. What else was his power meant to be used for. Well, except for maybe being a star on a track team in school.
That or using it for darker meaning but there was no way he would do that. Especially if he had been on the bad side, then there was a chance that Chat and him would not be having such a good conversation. "You must be doing the same yeah? Unless you like being in the mask and suit for other reasons, like charming the ladies?" he asked winking.

The police were great. But even they, the miracle workers that they were, could only save so many, do so much. They could use a helping hand every now and then. That was always the good part of being the masked vigilante. Helping clean up the city, one bad guy at a time. But it seemed that even though Chat and KF were both heroes, they had their preferred crime rings to go after. Adrien tended to favor white collar crimes. Whereas Kid Flash preferred well, any crime that he saw committed in front of him.
"The ladies are a perk of the job," Adrien chuckled. "But, uh, watch out for Sunshine Seddon. She's a police officer. And she carries a frying pan."
He was always afraid of being on the receiving end of one of those swings of hers. He had see the damage she could do with that thing at close range. So needless to say, Sunshine was a dangerous woman when she wanted to be.

Wally blinked a few times. "I'm sorry? Did I hear you right? A frying pan?" he asked, how in the world did that work? A cop using a frying pan? That was certainly an interesting choice of weapon. Guns? Nope, apparently not for this woman. It almost sounded like a joke or like the woman was an angry housewife. He shuddered at the thought of being on the end of that. He hadn't run into a cop like that, and hopefully he wouldn't have to. The last thing he wanted was for this Sunshine to lock him in a prison cell after hitting him in the head with a frying pan.
He shook his head to get rid of that thought. "Sounds like a scary chick, and her name is Sunshine too huh. Wouldn't have taken that for a cop name." That was calling the kettle black, he had never heard of anyone being called Kid Flash but he went with what the newspapers called it. It just stuck.
