"First love advice now jewelry? Kid, you're bad for my reputation." Axel groaned.
But if it helped, he supposed it couldn't be entirely bad. It was still a little funny that she was coming to him of all people to ask these questions. As long as they stayed this innocent. Not to mention, he could tease her for it. She was was going to the 'big bad fire demon' for advice. It was laughable. But then again, so was fixing non-alcoholic drinks for a minor in a bar. The things his patrons had him do sometimes. Other demons would think he was going soft if they heard.

Adeline just laughed, although if she was honest, she'd admit that at least giving love and jewelry advice was different from what Axel used to do. It was a harmless activity that was sure to make people, and cops, feel a little safer around him. Maybe it would soften her parents' opinion of him, if she ever decided to tell them about him. Speaking of which, her phone vibrated as her dad sent her a text, reminding her that it was getting late out. Ever since Thrax had resurfaced, he and her mother had been getting paranoid anytime Adeline stayed out too long after dark. To be fair, Adeline was scared too, but not in the same way. She wasn't so fearful of Thrax hurting her anymore. She was more worried about what he might do to someone she cared about. Pitch was lucky to have survived his encounter with him. If Thrax had gone after someone like Namine, the situation probably wouldn't have turned out so well. "I gotta get going," she said as she pocketed her phone. "I hope things turn around this week." Hopefully, this thing with Cruella would subside for a while and Axel could go about things normally. Things rarely turned out that well, but Adeline still hoped for the best.

"You do that." he said. "Stay out of trouble, kid."
He didn't think things were going to change. Cruella was always going to be as greedy and manipulative as she was. Nothing would change that. And unless Anna had a change of heart on her little 'save the world' project, he doubted she would even come to the bar for her usual Friday night drink. The bar seemed different without the bubbly red head and her pet lizard. One thing he knew for certain was, he didn't like this change. But it was his job as the bartender not to be troubled but to take the troubles of his patrons. Which was why he flipped the tables on Adeline once she started getting personal. Bartenders couldn't day drink but her questions made him want to.

Adeline gave a little laugh. "Trouble seems to find me more often than not," she replied. Still, she gave him a smile and paid for her drink, along with a generous tip, before heading out the door. After all, what she really came for was to talk, not the drink. And that wasn't something you could order off the menu. All her troubles hadn't gone away because of this conversation. Worry was still in her heart for Pitch, and now she was a little anxious about Axel and what Cruella might do. But she felt hopeful that things might turn around. Pitch had managed to pull himself out from near-death after getting emerald dust thrown in his face, after all. Adeline felt like anything was possible, if that could be done.
