Elsa managed to let out a quiet laugh. "Well, I suppose that's something else we have in common. A lot of people assume I'm...well," she snickered, "in lack of better words, an 'ice queen' because of both my job and my powers. But, well, that's far from true." She could come across as cold from time to time, but it in no way was what made her who she was.

Wally's eyebrow rose slightly at the idea. Elsa seemed relatively nice to him, if not a bit stern but nothing worthy of being called the ice queen. At least nothing he saw right at the moment. "Well, I am not one to judge people based on what others say. You seem pretty nice to me."

Elsa gave a small smile. "Yes, well, you haven't seen me defending clients. I can be pretty icy then." She had gotten better at keeping her ice at bay when she felt herself getting ruffled, and Wally was lucky he hadn't gotten her there yet. Well, not counting Roman's weird assassins getting to her.

"Maybe sometimes they deserve the icyness?" Wally said seriously. "I heard that the opposing sides can be real jerks sometimes." That much was turn. Wally was always rooted for the underdog though so maybe there were things that couldn't change, he always wanted to hear a good verdict and when a lawyer made a person cry or something of that sort, Wally wanted to scream.

"It really depends on what it is they want me to do," Elsa explained. She was probably just as seriosu as Wally was in regards to the iciness. Opposing sides were one of two people. They were lawyers that pulled every trick in the book to make a trial go wrong or they were fair players and were polite and courteous when acting as a lawyer. "I'm lucky none of my cases ended on Judge Judy or those kangaroo courts that pass off as entertainment when they pretend to be on the side of the law."

Wally couldn't help but crack a bigger smile at that. "Well, at least you have a sense of humor about it all. Not a lot of lawyers can have that. Most of which I know of normally are so stoic and don't know how to smile at all." He said, his green eyes softened a bit as he looked back at the gravestones. This was the first real serious conversation he had had with a lawyer but Elsa seemed like one that he could actually like.

"Well, in this world, we all have to have a sense of humor in one way or another," Elsa remarked slowly. Her eyes fell to the tobstones. So many people she knew were falling to the life of being swallowed by solitude. Weiss in particular. If she had one shred of proof something was wrong in her home life, she would fight for that girl to get out. But taking the Lafayettes to court was a death wish. Not without proper warrants. She gave Wally a smile, looking back as a police car rolled in with its lights blaring. "Well, looks like that was taken care of and I can visit my family aftr all," she chuckled. "Thank you again, Wally. And...it was...actually nice talking to you." ((end thread))
