Yang gave a little laugh. "Yeah, that's right." If Natalie was going to be the Alfred to Adrien's Batman, then that was fine by her. Adrien seemed to trust her at least, so Yang figured she should too. Natalie could handle the business stuff and Yang could provide the emotional support. Adrien had been there for her when things had gotten shitty. Now, it was her turn to do the same for him. She might be broken herself, but she could still use whatever was left of her to help him. And she wouldn't burn herself out. She knew he wouldn't want that. They'd help each other out on their good days, and they'd ride out their bad days together. When Adrien asked about her going on a vacation with him, she glanced up, feeling surprised. Adrien didn't mind taking her out again, despite the disaster that was their last lunch date? And this wouldn't be just one afternoon. It'd be a multi-day thing. But the thought of being someplace far away, just her and Adrien, it was something she'd dreamed about plenty of times. "I think that sounds like something I can manage," she said, smiling up at him.

"But I think I should probably hang up the mask." he said.
It was too much to risk. He would have one more outing with KF, explain that things had changed and leave the crime busting to the real super hero. He only hoped KF would understand. He would probably have to say something to Shadow or Sunshine too, pass over any information he had on Cinder. He couldn't get caught as a thief. It would ruin the company name if the owner was a criminal taking down what could be construed as competition. Anonymous tips would have to do from now on for the police force - at least coming from him.
"I'd like that a lot." he said.
It would be nice to get away with Yang. No city drama, just the two of them. Things were changing. Some a little faster than he was ready for but it could be a good change. He smiled, brighter than he had in weeks.

Yang felt unsure about Adrien giving up being Chat Noir. She felt like he had done a lot for this city as a masked hero. He'd helped out a lot of people. And it was through Chat Noir that they had even met in the first place. But, she had just said a minute ago that he needed to help himself before he helped out everyone at the company, and the same had to be applied for his Robin Hood duties as well. She remembered him mentioning that another masked superhero was out and about now, Kid Flash. Maybe he'd have to handle that sort of stuff solo for the time being. Besides, Adrien could be a little more open with his charity work now, and not have to invent another persona in order to do it. Instead of putting on a mask and dropping off supplies for some people living on the streets, he could do that as himself. "If you're sure," she said. "I'll miss your Robin Hood tendencies a little bit, though," she said teasingly. Still, even Robin Hood didn't rob from rich people forever. He'd done it until King Richard returned. After that, he'd let him take care of things while he got hitched to Maid Marian. Maybe that was what Adrien had to do now, minus getting married. Who knew if that would ever be a step for them. Although, she did have to admit, Adrien positively lit up at the idea of him and Yang getting away from this city for a while. She hadn't seen him look this happy in a while, and it made her glad too. If they were any other couple, this would probably be the part where they'd make out for a while and just enjoy being together. But anything with Adrien and Yang was complicated, and they still weren't exactly an item right now, although she was sure half of the media would want them to be since it would make a juicy story. She just wasn't sure if confessing her feelings right now was the best. Adrien's dad had just died, she didn't need to add any love drama to all the other stuff he was dealing with. Still, the words sat there in the back of her throat, no matter how much she tried to swallow them down.

"I don't need the mask to be Robin Hood though." he said.
It was... different without the mask. He supposed it would always be different now, since Chat was a part of him that he was deciding to let go of. Without it, he would have never have met Yang. He was so glad he met her. However, he was putting a great number of things at risk to play the hero. Losing those things would kill him, especially after everything that had happened to him. Yang was important to him. He couldn't put her in danger any more because he was being obstinate about going through the proper channels of authority to get something done.
"Is... that okay? I know you liked Chat Noir..."
After all, her first reaction to Adrien was to punch him. But they had gotten past that. Laughed about it even.

Adrien hadn't noticed Yang's thoughts wondering for a moment, and she was glad about that for now. Any romantic stuff she was feeling wasn't the focus of this conversation right now. This was about Adrien, and figuring out what he was going to do. She gave a little laugh when he asked if it was okay with her if he gave up Chat Noir. "Yeah, but I like Adrien better," she replied, her hand reaching up to gently touch his cheek. "I like you when you're you. Does that make sense?" Besides, it's not like Chat Noir was going to be completely gone. Adrien flirted with her and made funny puns without the mask. And now, he could do all the things Chat Noir did in broad daylight, and legally to boot. The point was, she loved all parts of Adrien, and he didn't have to put on a mask to make her feel that way. She may have fallen for him when he was Chat Noir, but it was Adrien that made her truly love him.

"It makes sense."
As much sense when her very touch made his head spin. He leaned into her hand and smiled at her. He finally had her confirmation that she liked both parts of him - Adrien and Chat Noir. While the masked man might have to go away, she still wanted to be with him. He wanted to hug her again. Or kiss her. But both seemed a bit forward. She had gone through an ordeal with the media and with things the way they were, it was too soon to attract the paparazzi's attention again. The last thing he needed were those vultures swooping in again while he was trying to get his life back together. They enjoyed making him suffer enough.
"I like you too." he said. "But uh, you knew that already."
Foot in mouth. His mind filter was mush around a pretty girl like Yang.

Yang was glad to hear that. She'd always assure Adrien that she liked him for him, and not because of anything else, whether it was his money or Chat Noir. She had to laugh at how flustered he looked after tripping over his words. Still, at least he could admit his feelings better than she could. He'd at least admitted them in a roundabout way. She hadn't even hinted at hers, verbally at least. Plenty of her actions could probably be seen as romantic, but actually saying that they were was a whole other matter. "How do you always manage to say what's on your mind so easily?" she said, more to herself than Adrien. "I still struggle to say how I feel, even with you." She'd only started making progress on talking about her mental problems just now. She wasn't even sure where to start when it came to the romantic stuff. How could she even go about it without messing everything up? She was still scared that she might. Confessing at the wrong time or the wrong way might make things weird. What she had now with Adrien meant a lot to her, and she didn't want to lose it.

"Practice I guess," Adrien shrugged. "Because for years, I never said what I felt."
Saying what he felt got his father killed. Or indirectly led to his father's heart attack. The brutal honesty that literally crushed his father's heart. That was something he was going to have to learn to live with. But with his friends, he wanted to be honest. He left his heart on his sleeve and let emotions go easily because he was so used to stifling them. When he was with those people he knew he could be who he really was, not who the media and the magazines expected him to be. Sweet, mild mannered Agreste was only a fraction of who he really was.
"It's... easier with friends." he explained. "I don't want anything to be taken the wrong way."
Because the media loved twisting his words. He could say 'I hate birds' and the media would make him out as some sort of animal welfare destroyer and slayer of birds. When in reality the full context of the situation was him saying 'I hate my bird allergies' or something like that. He was allergic to feathers after all. Made him sneeze something fierce and it could be quite embarrassing.

Yang gave another little laugh. "I never said what I felt 'cause I didn't want people worrying about me. And I still do it, even though I try not to. It's just...hard, you know?" That was the only way she could put it. Out on the streets, she didn't want her friends, or her kids, worrying about her. She had wanted to take care of herself. In a way, she still felt that way. She wanted to become more independent, learn how to do more things herself. Because the less help she asked from her friends, the less guilty she felt. She still felt that way even with Adrien. She was always worried about him thinking she was taking advantage of his money. She always wanted to assure him that he didn't have to buy her tons of stuff to make her happy. She just needed him. Although she could understand his worry about things being taken the wrong way. That tended to come with being famous. People loved twisting celebrities' words around. "Yeah, I get that," she said. "I don't want to do anything that..." She sighed, trying to explain some of her conflicted feelings without sounding like an idiot. "That ruins what we have," she finished.

"People will worry about you regardless whether you say something." Adrien said. "I'm pretty sure that is just something people do when they like you."
He worried about Yang and he really liked her. He worried for Weiss and he liked her. He worried about Shadow and Sunshine. He worried a little about Riku but because Weiss worried about Riku. Worry for someone did not mean they were helpless, just that the worried party cared. Caring wasn't bad. Adrien was starting to realize that now. He was starting to surround himself with people that cared. Yang showing up simply because he texted and asked meant the world to him, but he wasn't about to start jumping for joy yet.
"Yang, you got over my tendencies to scale rooftops in a skin tight cat suit, I'm pretty sure we've gotten past anything weird," he reassured her.
Ruins what we have? If he had been in his right of mind, he might have asked. But he wasn't as sharp as he usually was and that was probably fatigue settling in, even if Yang made him feel rather lively.

"That lesson does seem to be floating around a lot lately," Yang agreed. "I was worried about you...for a while. I mean, I heard about your dad on the news and the lines were always busy and I could never get a hold of you. I...didn't want you to feel alone." It seemed silly now, that she had freaked out so much, but she had just wanted to make sure Adrien was okay. She knew he would be messed up over this and she didn't want him surrounded by a bunch of reporters and corporate jerks who didn't care about him. She was still getting over her last encounter with the paparazzi. She hadn't known how Adrien was going to handle it all after his father had died. At his mention of them getting past anything weird though, she laughed. "I don't know. You might be surprised," she said. If she spilled out everything she was feeling now, it'd probably up the weirdness by ten fold. She didn't know how Adrien would react to that.

"I know..." he said softly. "I wanted to call but between the funeral and talking to the lawyers and signing over the company... It's no excuse. I should have at least texted to let you know I was okay."
Okay as in relatively okay. He was doing the best he could considering the circumstances but being pulled in a million directions at once. Who knew taking over a company was so overwhelming? Though, talking things out with Yang certainly helped. He wasn't dead so that was 'okay' in his book. He had a lot to deal with, but she had been sitting for weeks worrying because she heard nothing except for what the media fed her. That's not how he wanted that to have gone. He had been so caught up in everything.
"I like surprises," he said.

"It's fine. You had a million people wanting to talk to you and stuff. I shouldn't have panicked." Squeezing Yang in would have been difficult with all the reporters and company executives and employees who wanted to talk to Adrien. He had had a lot of things to sort out. She was just one person. A whole lot of other people had needed his attention. Yang just hoped that they could give him some space, now that he had dealt with them for a while. Sorting out the little crisis that was going on in this company was important, but now they needed to give him some time to grieve and get into a mindset that would help him run things. When Adrien mentioned he liked surprises though, she felt herself swallow hard. It almost sounded like a challenge, the way he said it. Or was she reading too much into it? She had the craziest impulse to just kiss him, right here, right now, take him by surprise. Part of her still hesitated though, all her fears of messing up, of being too much for Adrien to handle, of not being good enough spinning in her brain. Her emotions crowded out her voice, not that she had any idea what to say. Adrien made her tongue-tied almost as much as she made him, even if she wasn't aware of it.

"I should have said something. Anything." he insisted.
But she came to visit, even after he had been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. That meant the world to him. And of all the people for Adrien to reach out to first - it was Yang. Probably because he knew somehow that she would show up. He could count on her to. It was reassuring to know he had someone there for him like that. He wasn't sure what was going to happen with a lot of things now. People were going to try to 'smooze' the 'new company director' of Agreste Fashion. They would want to get in good with him, butter him up so they could use him. Not Yang. She wouldn't do that to him, which was why he wanted to be around her more and more.
"Forgive me?" he asked with a weak smile.

Yang felt her heart swell at Adrien's smile, and the way his green eyes looked at her. She didn't know if she'd ever find someone who made her weak in the knees, but it looked like Adrien was it. How could he always be so worried about her, even now, after losing his dad? She didn't know if she'd ever see herself the way he did. He thought she was special and irreplaceable, and the loss of her arm didn't matter to him. She was whole in his eyes, and still wonderful in every way. He asked for forgiveness for not calling her after his dad had died. She just hoped he'd forgive her for what she was about to do next. Before she lost her nerve, she closed the distance between them and kissed him. She wanted to convey everything she was feeling: how she loved him more than anyone else, how nobody made her feel this way except him, how she was the luckiest person in the world to have someone like him. Shadow had told her to confess her feelings while she could, and that was what she was doing.
