She didn't reply. Just as he was about to ask if he should be worried, she cut him off with a kiss. It surprised him to say the least. He almost tensed up before he kissed her back. He had wanted to do that for ages - since he saw her in the hospital but there was never a good time to go confessing feelings. His hand gently touched the side of her face. He could hardly believe that she liked him back. He was ecstatic about it. It was perhaps the best thing that had happened in weeks. But like all things, the kiss had to end because air was important. He felt himself smiling as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"That was... a nice surprise," he said.

Yang felt Adrien tense up, and she worried for a moment that he would pull away. But then he kissed her back, and it was everything she had dreamed of. His fingers were gentle, his lips soft against hers. He was everything she had ever wanted. He'd never hurt her, never leave her. And she'd tear the world apart before letting someone hurt him, even if she only had one arm. She remembered vowing to not get involved with things with her friends anymore, while she was at the hospital. It seemed stupid now. How could she not get involved with him? She still felt a little scared about it all, but she couldn't ignore what she felt anymore. And Adrien deserved to know how she felt. He deserved that honesty. By the time he pulled away, her stomach was a mess of nervousness and joy. He seemed awfully happy. Did he have any fears about this at all, like she did? "I'm sorry. That...probably wasn't appropriate. I mean, what kind of girl makes out with a guy right after his dad died, huh? That'll be a great first kiss story to tell people." She knew she was rambling by this point, as she sometimes did when she was nervous, but it was hard to stop. Everything was wonderful and nerve-wracking at the same time, and it was hard to comprehend how that could be.

"Yang..." he said gently. "It's okay."
He wanted to kiss her again but they probably needed to talk, especially since she was having second thoughts. But he didn't stray too far from her. Especially with the memory of how soft her lips had been against his. He didn't want her to have doubts. He didn't want her to think that he didn't have time for her or attention to give. He was going to change things so she would never doubt that again. Personal assistant and figurehead for the company it was. He just needed someone who knew what they were doing and strong enough to handle those sorts of people.
"I have wanted to do that for a while." he said. "I really like you. And I probably haven't been very subtle about it. But I want to spend as much time with you as I can."

Yang looked up as Adrien spoke. His words assured her a little bit, but she knew it was going to take a little time before she stopped feeling so anxious. Getting involved in something like this was something she had tried to avoid for a long time, and just because she had decided to dive into it didn't mean her fears had gone away. "I'm sorry. I just...I worry a lot because..." She breathed deeply for a moment before continuing. "I love you. So much. And you deserve everything good in the world and I just wonder if I'm going to be good for you. You make me so happy, and I want to do the same for you. I know you've told me that you don't care about all the stuff going on in my head, and I know all this doubt is stupid, but I just..." She took in a shaky breath, trying not to get so choked up. She could feel her emotions crowding out her voice again, and she didn't want that happening right now. "I couldn't ignore what I felt anymore. I want to be there for you, like you were for me. Even if I'm as messed up as the messed up things in your life, I want to help you get through them. 'Cause I don't want you to feel alone or trapped or ignored ever again."

He was taken by surprise once again when she said love. She loved him. That alone could knock the very breath out of him but in the best way possible. His head was spinning and he knew he was openly staring but the word just filled him with so much joy. He was probably smiling like an idiot too. It took every iota of strength he had not to scoop her up and twirl her around.
"I love you too. So very very much. I'll spend every day proving it to you if I have to."
The words rolled off his tongue so easily. They even tasted good, like a sweet honey he had been savoring for months. Much like the taste of her lips. He brushed her hair out of her face. He never could have predicted what would have happened by meeting her. To think, if she hadn't caught him sneaking into the theater, they never would have gotten to know each other. He couldn't imagine what things would have been like if he never got to meet her.
"Yang, no one has ever made me happier." he said. "And I want to make you happy to, if you'll let me. I'm so glad that you're here. You don't know how much it means to me that you came."

Hearing Adrien say that he loved her made Yang's heart feel lighter than it had in a long time. It was amazing that even though the two of them had lost a lot, they had still managed to find each other and fall in love. What were the odds of that? Heck, the odds still weren't exactly in their favor. Adrien had the death of his father to figure out, and Yang had to get over the loss of her arm. And who knew how other people would react to this. Adrien's father probably wasn't the only person who disapproved. But Yang felt like she could deal with all that if she had Adrien with her. "Of course I came. How could I not?" she said. She could never have let Adrien deal with this on his own. She quiet for a moment, just looking at him, marveling that she was his and he was hers. When she spoke again, her voice was quiet. "Listen, I know...I know this isn't going to make all my mental issues go away. If love could cure depression or PTSD, it would have been done by now. But...you can do whatever to make me happy, 'cause that's what I'm gonna do for you." Dealing with what Thrax had done was up to her and her alone. Her loved ones could help her, but ultimately, getting better was up to her. But if Adrien was there when she had a bad flashback, or her nightmares were too vivid, or she felt more broken than whole, it would make the fight a bit easier, in her opinion.

"I was just worried that the thing with the media scared you off."
It scared a lot of people off. Even though he did his best to protect people from the mad crowds and the paparazzi but there was only so much he could do. Yang had only been safe from those vultures camping out in front of her house because Riku bought her home not her or Adrien. If Adrien had bought it, he was certain there would be a few stories about him being Yang's personal bank account or worse. Of which he was glad there weren't. His temper only lasted so long. He would not be so nice if there was another interview and they were pushing for more information about Yang. She didn't deserve to have her life on display because his was.
"It'll take time," he reassured her about her own insecurities. "I think... if we're both trying to make each other happy, things might be easier."
Easier. Not better. Love wasn't a cure all for what they were going through. It didn't magic away stress. It didn't melt away bad dreams and fear. It helped but it wasn't the remedy. A relationship wasn't going to be the easiest thing for them. They might fight or go through low points, but Adrien wanted to try. Especially for Yang. The girl who had unknowingly captured him just as much as he had enraptured her. It was funny to say the least.

"I've faced things scarier than a few noisy reporters that don't understand personal boundaries," Yang replied. Losing her parents, nearly drowning, losing her arm, these were far more frightening things, in her mind. True, her last encounter with the paparazzi had left her shaken and upset, but she could deal with them. Out of all the things that scared her, she felt like she could deal with them. And even if she was afraid of them, she could never be afraid of Adrien. She may doubt herself more than anyone else, but she would never doubt him. He was gentle and kind and he made her feel safe. And that was all she really needed. That was all Adrien needed to do to make her happy. "I think part of me knew you liked me, even before you said it," she admitted as she rested her hand on his chest. "But I could never believe it 'cause...I felt like you deserved better. Maybe I still feel that way. I don't know." She felt like it was hard to sort out her emotions. They were all swirling inside her like crazy and it nearly made her heart ache.

"Well, I hadn't exactly been subtle about it." Adrien admitted. "You being you is the best I could have ever asked for. I like how you are as you are."
He wouldn't change Yang for the world. It was partially why he fell for her as easily as he had. He already had the best and it wasn't money that got it. Though he would have to prove that to her. He was happy to do it. Reporters didn't scare her away. His father's death hadn't edged her off. She didn't care that he could lose his wealth if he didn't run the company right. She liked him for him and that alone made him want to sing. Which he would refrain from doing because 'singing like a dying cat' in front of his potential girlfriend was not something very high on his list of things to do. She'd die laughing at him.
"Yang, would you be my girlfriend?" he asked.

Adrien's reassurances made Yang smile. She never got tired of hearing them. Even if she ever recovered from losing her arm, she'd probably need some assurance in every day little things. Most couples did. And she'd glow every time Adrien gave them to her. He seemed to have utter confidence in her, that she would be able to do anything and everything. She'd never had that much faith from someone before, not like this. When Adrien asked if she would be his girlfriend, she gave a laugh. "I think you already know the answer to that," she said as she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his again. Without fearing how he would react or what would happen, her kiss was less hesitant, more passionate. Her hand slid up, pulling him closer before resting on the back of his neck. She wanted no space between them, nothing to divide them. She wanted everything to be about him and her and how they felt about each other.

Adrien liked her answer. He pulled her in a little closer. He felt himself smirk a little when she grabbed at his neck. He could lose himself in her kiss, he decided. She tasted sweet. Her soft lips and the warmth of her skin. He pulled away, this time because he realized he could really take this kiss too far too fast. Yang's lips were like a drug, enticing him for another taste. His hand moved from her face down to her shoulder. She wasn't good for his self restraint, not when she did things like that.
"We should do that more often," he said.

Part of Yang didn't want Adrien to pull away, but at the same time, she knew why. Her self control was worse than his. If he didn't pull away, she'd probably kiss him until she ran out of breath. And even then, she might not stop. Breathing didn't seem like a high priority right now. She did have to agree with him though, when he said they should do this more often. She could probably keep it up for hours, if she felt like it. Her right arm moved up instinctively to rest on his shoulder, before she remembered that she didn't have a hand there anymore. She gave a sigh as it fell back to her side. 'I wish I had both hands," she said quietly. "One doesn't feel enough for...this." Hands were just as important as lips when it came to this sort of stuff. Could she still deliver with just one hand? Or would she always be behind when it came to the physical side of love? It made her remember what she had said to Adrien once before, about how she could never give 100% of herself because not all of her was here. Her arm was missing. She was like a car that only had three tires instead of four. That thought made her a little sad.

"We... could always look into a prosthetic?" he offered. "After I get things settled, if you want..."
He knew about her fear to abuse his money. She might even get mad at the offer since she could take it as pity, which it wasn't. Like everything he did, he would probably get one that was over the top and top of the line and they would continue their little game of theirs were she didn't like him spending money, but he insisted he didn't mind. What else was he going to spend it on? More cars? He had those. A bigger house? He had the biggest one in the city. A private island? He as pretty sure his father already left him one of those in the will. He wanted to help her. A prosthetic limb wouldn't fix that ghostly feeling of the limb that wasn't there. She would be able to do things she used to do with one.
He reached out and gently touched her right shoulder. His smile became a little more sad as he looked up at her, namely because, he felt so helpless. He didn't dare let his hand drift to the nub itself in case it set her into a panic attack. He had to be serious now and not think about kissing her again. Which wasn't entirely a bad idea. Every time she would protest something he could just kiss her quiet. It would probably only work the first few times he tried. It would still be fun to give it a try.
"You are perfect just the way you are."

Yang sighed. "I don't know. Maybe." Prosthetics had been brought up to her more than once. But they were awfully expensive, and she was already deep in debt. And asking Adrien to pay for it seemed like a bit much. A prosthetic arm costed a bit more than, say, a lunch date, or even a 3-day vacation. Having another arm would make things a bit easier when it came to doing basic stuff like putting her hair up or using a kitchen knife. Or kissing. But part of her was a little scared about getting an arm again. If she got it, would people just expect her to go back to what she used to be? Would they think she would be okay, now that she wasn't missing a limb anymore? She felt like it wasn't that simple. Getting a prosthetic didn't mean that the trauma she had gone through of losing her arm would just vanish. Nevertheless, Adrien reassured her that she was perfect the way she was, whether she had one arm or two. "So you keep telling me," she replied, although she still smiled. She never got tired of hearing that from him. Although, one question was still on her mind. "So...what exactly do we do about us?" she asked. "I mean, who...should know? Should anybody know? People are gonna find out eventually." Keeping their relationship a secret mainly had to do with Adrien's work with Chat Noir, and his father. But now that both of them weren't exactly a thing now, it seemed like the only people left to worry about were reporters and any snooty people that Adrien hung out with. A few of Yang's friends knew she had a thing for Adrien, or Chat Noir. And all of them probably saw the video of them together, plus his interview afterwards. Yang wasn't sure what was the best step.

"But first... Have you been seeing anyone? To talk about how you've felt?" he asked. "A... therapist? I was considering talking to someone..."
He knew he had issues when it came to his father. He hated the man so much at the end. But also with the added stress of becoming the company owner, he needed to work a few things out to keep his mind sound. He was going to go through an adjustment period. He was going to have to get used to being in charge, being the one who made all the rules and not abusing the power that came to him. Though, if he were honest, this could give him a better chance to see the corruption of the other higher class individuals and give more information over to the police. Because all the rich and powerful were shrouded in secrets. Secrets they didn't want anyone to know. Some they would even kill for.
"You are though. I'd have you model with me but that would mean I'd have to share." he teased.
He didn't share well. The thought of Yang being at work with him was nice, but then he remembered what his work was. His industry would slap her in some skin tight highly revealing bikini and photoshop her arm back on and make her skinnier. He liked her how she was. He would not ever make her go through that. He would rather his company go bankrupt than force those model stereotypes on Yang. Not to mention people always had nice things to say, creepy things to say and things that were harassment.
"Well, I have to work a few things out with a few people who know me as Chat Noir." he said. "But you can tell people. I'll take care of the reporters and everyone else can just shove it."
