Wally smiled a bit. "Well, what can I say I'm just that talented, and one of the lucky ones." He leaned back a bit. It was true he hadn't seen another Speedster in Bellarouge yet, it was strange. He shook his head. "No, I haven't really found someone to take the time." Not that he really had been looking either. Most of the time Wally was out as Kid Flash saving other people and then every other time, he was either trying to find answers to his mom's murder or just trying to find a job.

"I guess that's true," Weiss acknowledged. "Voodoo can do many things, but super speed isn't one of them." The idea of just running where you wanted and being there in an instant was a pretty cool thought. Weiss could just get away from anyone who was bothering her in a flash. No one could catch her, no one could make her stay. But, going away from this city was out of the question, in her mind. If she wanted to be the next voodoo queen here, she couldn't just up and leave. Just ditching her parents could mean disaster for her future. No, it was better to stay put for now. Once she had gotten the position, she could do what she wanted. That was the one thought that always comforted her when she felt anxious or depressed about her living situation.

Wally could sense something was wrong. Maybe Weiss wasn't feeling good, if that was the case that he was going to cheer her up or at least figure out how to help her "Yeah, but if voodoo could do everything then you wouldn't have much to learn right?" he asked. "I mean, you could learn everything and then have nothing new. It would be pretty boring."
The boy thought about his life right at the moment, he wasn't sure where his powers had come from. His mom certainly hadn't come off as having anything like this. Did it come from another relative? Either way, he felt that his speed was something to cherish but also he wasn't sure if he shouldn't fear it as well. It wasn't dangerous as voodoo but people would probably fear his powers if they saw enough of it

Wally did have a point there. Getting everything you ever wanted, and then not being satisfied by it, was a common theme in fairy tales. But Weiss wasn't looking for things that other people wanted, like riches or fame. She already had that. What she wanted was control, to make her own decisions and be in charge of herself for once. And with her shadow spirits, she felt like she might actually have a shot at it. She knew the point Wally was trying to make though. Unlike her, he didn't seem quite as cynic about the world. "So, besides beating up thugs with your super speed, have you been up to anything else?" she asked. She didn't have much to say about her own life at the moment. Heck, she couldn't talk about half of the stuff that was going on with. Better to make the conversation focus on Wally and his antics.

That thought almost escaped his lips but he held it back. No reason for him to worry the girl anymore. She was already stressed enough already with her family. Really though, that had all he been doing. Wally knew that working on odd jobs helped but maybe he should be looking for an actual job that could at least make him stable enough to live. "Oh, helping people here and there." he shrugged. "I am thinking of looking for a job, but nothing has really called to me." He was better on the move, so a job never felt right with him. Especially one where he had to sit still. He liked to move.

"Scooping ice cream like the rest of the teenagers here isn't appealing to you?" Weiss teased. That was what most kids her age got when it came to summer jobs. Scooping ice cream, life guards, camp counselors, they flocked to stuff like that. Weiss had never needed to work at something like that. Heck, with all the money her family had, she probably never had to work a day in her life if she chose to. She could live off her family's wealth. Then, when she married a rich guy her parents approved of, his money could be added to the mix. She'd known those had been possibilities for her since day one. But being voodoo queen was what she really wanted. She'd do anything to achieve her goal, even if it meant working with creatures as dangerous as her shadow spirits. She almost wished she could tell Wally about them, but he'd probably freak out. He seemed to think she was semi-normal. She wanted to keep it that way. Besides, her shadow spirits liked to remind her that nobody would really understand her like they did. They were her only true friends.

Wally gave a small smirk. "Oh, its nothing like that but maybe I am just so hot that all the ice cream would melt." He laughed slightly thinking about the idea of him serving ice cream to kids. It would be nice to see people happy. "I am not the type to sit still to be honest, I have to constantly be moving when I am not talking to people." He smiled. "I guess that kind of explains the speed power."
He looked around the park, glad to see that there were indeed people who looked happy. He wanted to keep it safe. It made him feel uneasy that there were creatures like this Thrax and Evie around.

"Waiters are on their feet all the time. There's always that," Weiss said. Then again, service like that was horrible if you had customers that were jerks. The staff at her mansion probably hated working for her parents, but they did it anyway because the pay was decent. Not to mention, getting her parents angry was the last thing anyone wanted to do. Even when Weiss and Riku were little, they knew better than to get their parents riled up. Otherwise, things got nasty. Still, Wally might be charming enough that being a waiter might actually be good for him. His super speed could be useful too, although who knew how wise it was to use it in a crowded place like a restaurant.

A waiter huh? He never really thought about that. Weiss did have a point, they were on their feet all the time. He would probably have to bite his tongue at some of the customers remarks but he was at least good around people. At least that's what his mom said, most people did enjoy his company. "I never thought about that, I'll have to look to see if anyone is hiring." he said, "What about you? If you weren't doing the voodoo thing what do you think you would be doing?"

That was a tough question for Weiss. Voodoo made up so much of her life. Even before she'd wanted to become the voodoo queen, her parents had made sure she got the finest voodoo instruction. A LaFayette being a mediocre witch doctor was unheard of. She had to be good at it in order to keep up the reputation of the family name. Sure, she had other hobbies, but her parents hadn't viewed them as very important. They were activities to make her a cultured young lady, nothing more. Of course, her fencing had come in pretty handy when it came to defending herself, but she knew her parents wouldn't let her do that for a living. However, as she thought about it, something did come to mind. "I guess I wouldn't mind being a singer. I've always liked doing that," she said. She'd been neglecting her music practice lately, but she'd enjoyed doing it back in the day. Heck, Riku had been pretty good at it too. They'd sung together a lot as kids.

Wally's cocky smile softened a bit. He could see her as a singer, she could probably draw a lot of people's attention to. They could give her a name like Snow Angel or something like that, a stage name. "That sounds really nice, I'd love to hear you sing sometime." a flirt? Maybe, but it was also geninue. If singing made her happy then she should do it.

"We'll see," Weiss said. "Most of the time, it's for charity concerts. Giving to the poor gives us a good image, you know?" Heck, that was the only reason their parents did stuff like that. Giving donations just large enough to the correct charity was their specialty. They weren't like Adrien, who was one of the most generous people she knew. He helped people because he wanted to, not because it made him look good. Weiss's parents had never had that kind of selflessness. Heck, Weiss hadn't felt it too often herself. So much of her life had been focused on herself, and making sure she pleased her parents. Now, it was all about becoming the voodoo queen so she'd be the one in control. She worried about herself most of the time. Others, not so much, let alone complete strangers.

Was that what her family was like? Only helping others because it would benefit them. That was kind of sickening but Weiss didn't seem to be like that. There was a lot of pressure on her. He could see that much. "Sounds rough but if singing makes you happy then keep doing it." He rubbed his neck. "I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is being in your family." That much was true. He had been thankful for his mom but now hearing about Weiss's family maybe he had taken his own family for granted.
"I wish I knew how to help with that kind of thing. I only really had my mom so I can't relate very much to your situation."

Weiss shrugged. "May not have time for it. I've got a lot of plans." That was putting it vaguely, but technically, it was the truth. She was throwing herself more into her voodoo every day. She wouldn't have much time for anything else. People were already noticing she was becoming a bit of a recluse, but she didn't care. It would all be worth it once she became the voodoo queen. Anytime she was doubting herself, or her shadow spirits, she would think of that and she would feel better. Wally commented on how things sounded rough in her family, and she felt her stomach coil like a snake. Wally had said something similar to her when they had first met, but she felt like it bothered her more than than it used to. Why did everyone always assume that she was some poor little rich girl that needed pity? She didn't need it. She didn't need that, or sympathy, or help, or anything. Yes, her family situation was sucky, but she could deal with it. She wasn't weak. Her shadow spirits understood that. They knew she was strong, otherwise they wouldn't have stuck with her. They could sense the potential in her. That was why they were showing her all this magic to learn. They knew she could do it. "I don't need you feeling sorry for me. I can look after myself just fine," she said, her voice sharp.

Oh great. He had misspoken again. "I didn't mean you couldn't handle it...I uh, mean that I just wish that I could understand what you were going through." This is why he shouldn't open his mouth without thinking, he had completely forgotten about their previous conversation the other night. Shit. How do you make up for something like this?
"Ah, I am..so bad at this kind of thing. I was trying to make you feel better but I made it worse." He could have just curled up in a ball or just run away from this. "I probably made your day a whole lot worse."
