Aqua seemed pretty sincere when saying that. Yang knew that she meant it. She just hoped that nothing bad came out of it. What if there was a major fight or something? Shadow had never been too afraid of knocking some heads around if it meant getting someone to leave a friend alone. Although, if she was honest, she'd probably do the same thing. She just had to relax and not worry about the "what ifs." She just had to deal with what was certain, and right now, that was just passing the test. Everything else she could deal with once she found out if she actually got into the Others Unit or not. "Thanks," she said, giving Aqua a little smile.

"Of course," Aqua said. "It's what friends are for."
She was silently promising Yang that she wouldn't screw things up for the young woman. That she wouldn't hurt her the way she had hurt Riku. That she would be the role model and senior officer that Yang could go to if she needed help. Funny how just one little thing a human could do could make Aqua want to give them the sun and stars so they were happy. Humans inspired her to be better than she was, without even doing anything except for being themselves.

Yang smiled again. Yeah, that was what friends were for, and she had learned a lot about that over the past year. They hadn't forgotten her or abandoned her, no matter how many times she feared it would happen. Even when she didn't believe in herself, they were there for her. She just hoped she could be the wonderful person they all thought she was and show that their faith in her wasn't for nothing. "Well, if I can be there for you as much as you want to be there for me, then I guess we'll be okay," she said. Aqua had been nothing but generous and kind since they had met recently. Yang just wanted to do the same for her in return.

"Thank you, Yang." Aqua said.
She smiled at Yang. The young woman was too good to be true, but that was probably part of the reason that she was so well liked by so many people. She was just one of those people it was hard to dislike. She had been through so much and yet she was offering to help Aqua with whatever she needed. Aqua didn't know what to say. She was surprised to say the least. Yang should be focusing on herself. She supposed this was another amazing thing about humans. Though, Yang wasn't entirely human, she was a partial phoenix.

While Yang would have loved to stay and talk some more, she knew she had to buckle down and study a bit today. Learning some new material might help her feel less anxious. And then, she could relax a bit tomorrow, maybe hit the gym or something. It wasn't exactly the same as fighting practice, but at least it would still get her in shape. And nothing was better for her anxiety like lifting some weights or running on a treadmill. "I should get going. Gotta dedicate some time to this baby," she said, holding up her book again before finishing off the last of her sandwich. "It was nice talking to you, Aqua."

"It was nice see you too, Yang." Aqua agreed.
And it was. Talking to Yang seemed to lessen some of Aqua's stress, or perhaps that was the fatigue kicking in. Either way, she had new resolve to better herself and fix what she had damaged between her and Riku. Easier said than done, but she had to hope that it wasn't completely in the trash. She offered Yang a smile. That book had been one of Aqua's go to resources for the longest time. She all but lived by it. Poor Yang was going to try to commit herself to do the same.
"I need to get some sleep anyways. They had us on a double shift." she laughed.

"Well, I know better than anyone that sleep does wonders," Yang said with a laugh. After having her sleep disturbed by nightmares for so long, she was finally able to sleep nightmare-free most of the time. Sure, there were still those nights where she dreamed about Thrax taking away her arm, or Gothel and Gavin killing her parents. But they were fewer and further between than they used to be. For Yang, she felt like that was one of the clearest signs that she was getting better. The people that had hurt her didn't haunt her dreams as much as they used to. That had to count for something. "See you around," she said before slinging her bag over her shoulder, her book safely in tow. She gave a wave before heading out the door, feeling a little less nervous about the police test now that Aqua had given her some friendly advice. Like Shadow, she seemed sure that Yang could get in. Yang just hoped she could prove her right.
