"That's all Omar needs: more kids to look after," Yang said with a grin. He did seem to have a growing number of them. If they weren't related to him by blood, they at least saw him as a father figure. Or he ended up adopting them, in Namine's case. He was like a mama duck, in that sense. In a way, Yang had been the same with her kids when she'd looked after them. Heck, maybe she'd copied Omar in that sense. But at least her kids had good people looking after them now. Aqua brought up the subject of marriage though, and for the first time, Yang's face turned red. "Haven't...really thought about it, I guess," she said with a nervous laugh. She loved Adrien, there was no doubt about that. But just trying to picture herself in a wedding dress and having kids of her own made her a little nervous. The last thing she wanted was to settle into a housewife role. Granted, she knew Adrien would never force that on her, but she knew some people might expect that of her. And it wasn't a role she wanted quite yet.

"I keep expecting him to somehow get his hands on the deed to an orphanage." Aqua laughed.
She wouldn't exactly put it past him. Family was all but his reason for existing. At least she was coming to realize that. His friends and family meant more than his own safety. It was easily one of his most adoring and yet insufferable traits. He had gotten hurt - for her - and yet the first thing he asked her when he got back was if she was okay. It drove her up a wall. The faeries who he had encountered before had degraded his self worth so much that he didn't even blink over what they did to him this time. She simply didn't know how he could smile at her the way he did at Adrien's party after everything he had been through.
"Riku and Sunshine are ahead of the curve here." Aqua informed her, "They're engaged."
Terra had been about to propose to her before Vanitas' intervention. Aqua had long since returned the ring to his parents since it was a family heirloom. She couldn't keep something like that. Besides, letting go was the first step of moving on, right?

"That would be a very Omar thing to do," Yang agreed. He probably wouldn't mind having a whole building filled with kids. And he was good with them. More often than not, he found street kids first and earned a little bit of their trust before introducing them to Yang. That was how she'd ended up with Penny and Cody. And any kid she got that had met Omar first always ended up liking him. "It was bound to happen with them. They go together like peas and carrots," she said. "If I ever got hitched, I'd have to find a wedding dress that matched with this." She pointed to her prosthetic arm. Yang usually didn't mind being the center of attention, but the idea of slowly walking down a church aisle with a bunch of guests staring at her made her a little uneasy. She liked her metal arm and all. And it was handy during a fight. But she still grew self-conscious of it every now and then. And having it stand out like a sore thumb on her future wedding day was not a reassuring thought.

"At least I'm not the only one who thinks so." Aqua said.
It did seem like a very 'Omar' thing to do. He had that 'big family' sort of quality about him. Another intimidating fact about him, was that he had a daughter. Someone that Aqua was going to have to try to win over. Except everyone in town knew that Jane was the least cop-friendly person. The half troll woman would rather bite a bullet than even talk to an officer. Then came her species. Aqua had a feeling Jane blamed her for what the other faeries did to Omar. Because of her kind.
"Yang, you know, I don't naturally look like this," Aqua said, "I use a glamour to hide my wings, change my eyes and shorten my ears. You could do the same for your arm."
Aqua couldn't replace what was lost. But if a bit of magic helped Yang on any 'special day' a glamour was easily done. Glamour was low level magic. She didn't know Yang's magical reservoir but if she had the capability for magic she could cast it herself or Aqua could cast it for her.

"Maybe," was all Yang said in reply for a moment. She'd always felt conflicted about whether to get her prosthetic enchanted so it looked like a regular arm. On the one hand, it might attract a lot less staring. But it seemed shameful to try and hide it. It almost felt like lying, and Yang hated that even more than being stared at. Her arm was a sign that she'd lost a part of her, but she hadn't let it stop her. She'd learned to push forward, get better, and not feel so sorry for herself all the time. Besides, the person who minded it the most was really her. Nobody else minded it, especially Adrien. He never felt like it got in the way when it came to physical affection between them. "I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it," she said. "Who knows when a proposal might happen, for either of us." She wasn't sure if Aqua and Omar would actually get hitched. They'd just started dating, after all. And Yang felt like marriage wasn't required for a couple to show how much they loved each other.

"I don't think we'll have to worry about that any time soon," Aqua insisted.
It was way too soon for Omar to propose. She didn't think she would take that well. Not to mention the whole 'churches literally burn him alive like iron does to her' thing. Also, he had been married to Cindy. Jane likely wouldn't appreciate the relationship escalating quickly since it was her mother that Omar was moving on from. As for Adrien, he and Yang were both young, maybe they were going to wait a bit. Just enjoy each other's company for now. Though, even Aqua had to admit, she thought the couple was sweet. He also struck her as the exceedingly romantic type, considering the wayward looks he kept giving Yang throughout the party.
"How have things between you been?" she asked.

Yang just gave a smile as she took a bite of her pizza. Omar and Aqua had something special, there was no doubt about that. And it still made her giddy to see the two of them together. Although it looked like any answers about where their relationship would go could only be answered by time. Yang hadn't even asked how Jane felt about the whole thing. Sure, she seemed okay with cops now, and was even becoming friends with Shadow. But that didn't necessarily mean she was ready to see her dad date one. Maybe she'd have to hang out with her sometime and get the scoop on things. "They've been good," she replied. "Adrien helped me get a motorcycle recently, so we've been enjoying that." Adrien was starting to like it, although half the reason for that was probably because Yang was the one driving.

"A motorcycle?" Aqua asked in surprise. "Adrien didn't strike me as a motorcycle sort of guy. Hopefully you got something you liked?"
That was the most important part. If Yang was going to be driving around with it, then she needed something suited to her, not Adrien. The thought of him riding on the back of the bike was cute. Adrien called her his princess, but he was the one holding onto his 'knight' as they drove down the streets. Granted, his whole pet name thing was adorable. Aqua was pretty sure he would sometimes say My Lady to Sunshine.

"It's more for me than for him," Yang assured her. "Any riding he does is going to be with him in the backseat and me driving." Honestly though, Adrien enjoyed motorcycle riding mainly because Yang had so much fun doing it. He was happy because she was happy, and she was the same way with him. Now that he was in charge of his own life, he could experience the simple things he'd missed out on when his dad was around. And Yang had fun doing those things with him, whether it was hitting up a burger joint or taking a walk around the neighborhood. She nodded at Aqua. "Yeah. Nice enough for a pleasure cruise, but it'll do well at work too. Any criminal running off at high speeds is going to have to look out for me from now on." She gave a cheeky grin.

"A need for speed," Aqua mused, "That doesn't surprise me. Guess that means you and Shadow are our chase operatives."
The two faster officers could track people down, stop them from getting away after a crime. Plus, Yang seemed quite pleased about her new ride. It was a newfound freedom of hers to be able to get around on her own, without relying on others or on public transit, which was sometimes dodgy at best. Aqua herself flew or walked everywhere she needed to go. Simply because she couldn't afford a special non-iron car for herself. The only reason she could drive was for her work vehicle.

"He'd probably still be able to outrun me, only because he can get around traffic lights easier," Yang said jokingly. Sure, weaving a motorcycle in and out between cars was easy, but Shadow had only himself to worry about. He could probably do it faster. Still, if it was involving the road, Yang found her motorcycle faster than using her fire blasts to get around. They'd been handy in the past, especially when running from police. But it could tire her after a while. And there'd always be someone fast enough to catch up to her that way. Pitch had been proof enough of that.

"He needs someone to keep his ego in check!" Aqua joked.
Shadow had no problems with his ego but the guy did need more excitement in his life. Aqua was just learning to have that for herself so she didn't have room to talk. She hadn't realized that Omar gave that to her just by being himself. Bringing her out of the trace-like life she lived after Terra's passing. She was opening up and learning to start all over.

Yang laughed. "The day Shadow has an ego problem, I'll start in some cheesy photo shoot like Adrien used to," she joked back. Shadow was practically as humble as a guy could get. Always putting others before himself, playing it cool when he was really feeling otherwise. Of course, that could lead to its own downfalls as well. Much like Omar, he could get wrapped up in making sure everyone else was happy that he forgot about his own happiness. At least things with him and Sunshine were okay now. She doubted he'd move on quickly, but she hoped he would in his own time. He deserved to find love too.

"As if Adrien would share you on the cover of a magazine," Aqua snorted.
Both Shadow and Adrien were stand up guys. Aqua was glad to have met both of them. Shadow was always one to do the right thing, even if it was not the easiest. He was protective of his friends. Aqua believed there was nothing he wouldn't do in order to assure their safety. Then there was the young model turned businessman. Adrien was trying to get to know his sister - through his parents' mistake of hiding her from him. He didn't have to reach out. Not to mention, he made Yang happy. Deliriously almost glowing happy. A person like that couldn't be all bad.
"He offered Namine a job, you know? To work for him instead of the BPD."

"True," Yang agreed. "He'd probably be worried I'd punch one of the other models or something." Sure, not all of them were ditzy, stupid, and shallow, but most of them were, and Yang still remembered the jealous feeling she'd get when Adrien had to pose with them. It had just made her feel inadequate, especially when she'd been dealing with the loss of her arm. She was over that jealousy now of course, although she could still get into a "You've done enough work, I want you all to myself" mood. That was usually how she teased with Adrien. She took another bite of her pizza as Aqua mentioned that he offered Namine the opportunity to work for him. "Really? What'd she say?" she asked. Maybe working for the fashion industry would be better for Namine's skittish nature. Or was she really attached to her job at the BPD? Yang wasn't close enough with her to know.
