Adrien gave a nervous laugh, scratching his cheek and pointedly not looking at Yang or the kids. Sure, he called her his Princess, but that was a habit of Chat Noir's that stuck. He had pet names for most every girl he spoke to, that way, it wouldn't crossover when he had to be Adrien and he met them. When she figured out who he was, he kept it because he wanted to reassure her nothing had changed. After feelings developed, it became his term of endearment.
"Hey, don't worry about it." he reassured her. "I guess it means they really approve of me if they're already planning a wedding for us."
He took her hand in his, giving it a squeeze. When it came to couples, they weren't typical. They broke a lot of conventional rules about dating. He would ask her opinion of the matter, but at the moment, she seemed stuck in a permanent blush. Which was decidedly cute on her. He might have swooped in to kiss her if not for the fact her kids were watching and would take that as some form of positive in their line of questioning.

Adrien seemed to instantly find the bright side of the situation, and when he squeezed her hand, Yang couldn't help but smile a little. He did have a good point. It looked like her kids definitely approved, and that made her feel happy. Still, she couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu over the whole marriage conversation. "It's weird. Me and Aqua were just talking about marriage not too long ago," she commented. "Not sure if she and Omar are gonna be tying the knot anytime soon, but I guess time will tell." She wondered if a typical wedding like in the movies could ever be a thing for her and Adrien. Almost every girl seemed to think about their wedding day from a young age. Yang hadn't been one of them.

"Well, Sunshine and Riku just got engaged. The wedding bug is in the air." Adrien reasoned. "People are bound to think of their futures when they're attending something like that."
Marriages were supposed to be something long lasting. A promise to stay by their loved one's side and care for them until their last. Granted, his parents apparently hadn't done that. Which was both a good and a bad thing. Good because at least Namine came from that situation but bad because they broke their promise to one another.
"I don't know that Aqua and Omar will be married anytime soon. From what Namine told me, Omar and churches don't exactly work out." he said. "But there's always the court house?"

"True," Yang said. "People can get married anywhere these days. Maybe they can go to the beach or Disney Land or something." She gave a laugh, although it was a poor attempt at livening the mood. She was almost afraid to ask Adrien what he thought about them getting married someday. He knew she valued her independence and wouldn't force it on her. But she also felt like it was a stupid thing to stress over, and she wasn't sure exactly why she felt that way. Worrying about her metal arm clashing with a wedding dress or fearing that everyone would expect her to become a housewife afterwards seemed like really trivial.

"And whenever they feel like they're ready," Adrien said.
He didn't know how Yang felt about marriage. Some partners never got married and were okay with that. Some waited a while before they got married. Maybe they would at some point, but he wanted to be sure it was something Yang was comfortable with and not just because everyone else was getting married. Maybe someday they would. He would like to someday.

At least Adrien saw the importance of being ready for marriage. Some people liked to rush into it, but Yang wasn't one of them. This was her first real relationship, and she didn't want to screw it up. Although the rational part of her brain told her that she was probably past the point of screwing up too badly. Adrien had seen her at her lowest, and he was still here. That spoke volumes of how much they were committed to each other. "You think we'll ever...be ready for that?" she asked tentatively. Granted, she wasn't about to elope tomorrow. And couples tended to move in together first before tying the knot. Although Yang wasn't sure what they would do when they reached that step. Would Adrien downsize and move into her place? Would she go to his gigantic mansion? Or maybe they'd just get their own space together. It was a lot to think about.

"I think so," he said, "Someday. At our own pace."
He was glad Yang didn't want to rush things. His parents apparently had. That had led to infidelity and Namine. But he also wanted their relationship to be something they both wanted. That they would both be happy with. He did care for her greatly. He would probably put her own happiness before even his own. But he knew she wouldn't want that. Except for the fact that she truly meant that much to him.

Adrien's answer made Yang smile. He seemed to get she was feeling, even if she hadn't explicitly said it. It was just like when they'd first started getting closer and falling for each other. They'd taken things at their own pace, and that could range from very slow to a bit quick. After all, one of their first "dates" after officially becoming a couple was going to Adrien's private island. Most couples usually didn't jump that far ahead. But, at the time, it had been what they'd wanted. And it had provided an opportunity for them to get closer, as well as help Yang get over her fear of the water. "That makes me glad," she said, her hand reaching to wrap around his.

"I'd kiss you but I think the kids might revolt if I did," he teased.
But he was delighted to know that there was absolutely no pressure for their future. They didn't have to force themselves to do something they weren't ready for yet. Someday he would ask, but only when he knew they were both ready for it. They both had so much to get used to. Their new jobs. Their new lives. Their new families. Things had changed for them.

"I think we can get away with a small one," Yang teased before leaning up to kiss Adrien on the cheek. She wasn't a moment too soon. A few seconds afterwards, Cody and Penny came running up, each with a balloon animal in their hands.
"Look Yang, I got a snake!" Cody announced, holding it up proudly.
"And I got a dog," Penny added, showing hers off as well.
"Sweet," Yang said with a smile. "What are you gonna do with them now?"
Cody and Penny's faces faltered for a moment. It was clear they hadn't thought that far ahead. Yang laughed.
"How about you make 'em have a race?" she suggested. "That oughta be fun."
"My snake's gonna win!" Cody yelled as he took off, his balloon animal in tow.
"No fair, you got a head start!" Penny complained as she ran after him, holding onto her dog tightly so it didn't fly out of her hands.
Yang watched them run off with a smile. That would probably keep them entertained for a while.

Adrien laughed. Quickly looking back at the kids. It was probably best if they didn't start kissing. Because for them, one kiss never ended at just one kiss. Still, watching her interact with the kids was heartwarming. She truly dearly loved them. Back when he was bringing them things, he made sure to cover things for both her and the kids, but when he started hanging around, everything he brought for the kids was really because the kids were important to her. Things were different now with the kids in new homes, all four of them going their separate ways, but even now, Adrien knew she still loved them all. She was beyond sweet with them.
"You really know how to work with them," he said.

Yang shrugged. "Eh, what can I say? It's a talent," she said, giving a toss of her hair before laughing. It was a skill of hers though, in a way. Being with her four kids for so long had taught her how best to talk with them, get them to trust you. She just hoped she could use that in her job one day. More often than not, kids were the victim of crimes around here, or had family members that had suffered at the hands of a criminal. Yang wanted to be there for them, assure them that they would be okay and that she'd be there to help. Her gentle side of her really shone around children, while criminals got to taste her firepower.

Adrien grinned. Her kindness was a talent? If so she was a natural. She drew people in with her natural personable nature and smile. She kept them safe and often provided for them in ways they didn't realize they needed. He had been so lonely before he met her. His only interactions with anyone his age was just Weiss and even those were limited. She had brought him out of his loneliness and saved him from being his father's puppet. She had given him the will to do something for himself.
"I do admire a woman of many talents." he chuckled.

"I'd say you're the one with a lot of talents," Yang said. "Gentleman thief, model, business owner. You've practically done it all." She gave a grin. "Guess that means we're made for each other, am I right?" In a way though, Yang was the same. She'd been a street kid, an illegal fighter, and now a cop. She'd changed almost as much as Adrien had. She'd started off reckless, cocky, and kept a smile on her face while she ran away from her problems. Now, she tried to think her way through things, and was a lot better at talking about her problems with her friends. She'd come a long way.

"I haven't done everything yet," he teased. "Currently I'm adding boss to that title. I'm hiring extra models so I don't have to work so much all the time."
He would still occasionally have to go in, but with Wally and some other models, he would be able to give Yang every iota of his time that he could. He still had some more work to do, but he honestly didn't mind. The efforts were going to pay off in the long run. He would be less stressed once the hiring process was said and done. That was what was getting him through the tedious interviews. Some of the 'models' that came in were sheer arrogant. Clearly trying to use him for his money, work as little as possible but get paid as much as they could.
"Look at us, being responsible adults. It's scary," he joked.
