He smiled in glee. "Everything here is steeped in magic and romance" he told her quietly. "And I love it so much. This was my favorite spot as a kid. I'd sit here for hours and read or imagine what the two lovers were like and wonder about the bond of love so deep it made a magic spring" he chuckled and went to stand beside her. "It was my sanctuary when I had had a bad day"

She was still staring at the water. The secret he confided in her started making everything change. He had his here during bad times. What was the Bellerouge equivalent? The bayou was too gross to compare to it. She sat on the grass, running her hands through the blades, feeling the magic and romance seep rhroufh. “I can see why,” she murmured. “My sanctuary on a bad day was the Nevermore kitchen. I know, not nearly as magical.”

He smiled and sat beside her and put an arm around her. "But it was your safe place, the one place you could go and feel angry or sad or inexplicably happy and nobody would judge you for it. I say that's equally as special, y'know?" he chuckled and kissed her cheek. "Don't feel like your special place is less special. It's equal, okay?"

“I did get free cookies out of it...” she mused. She leaned against him, soaking in the warmth of his arm. He may have had the look, but did he get free cookies? Probably not. She smiled widely at the kiss. It didn’t matter if this glade and well was cuter than ovens. He was right; no one judged her for seeking solace in the kitchen, and she shouldn’t bear herself up

he snickered. "Free cookies makes everything better" he agreed. He loved her. "If we're being honest, if we have children I'd rather they use the kitchen as their sanctuary where there's family to give them food and let them rant rather than them going off to be alone" his solitude had paved the way to summoning Ansem. He'd rather their child be sociable and seek their parents out than ignore their family and go stew in their misery or whatever they were feeling.

She loved him. He was already thinking of kids. The conversation was finally happening. They had never thought of kids before. “I vow never to be a dismissive parent.” She made a cross on her heart.

He smiled and hugged her. "I vow to never be a dismissive parent either" he promised. "I'm going to be open and try to keep frustration in check so they're never afraid to talk to me" That was the biggest thing, his parents had never been open to the point where he was comfortable talking to them. If they had been, maybe things would be different.

Sunshine hugged him. She smelled the earl gray cologne he wafted. It was a smell she loved and adored. Her children were sure to love it, too. She pecked the side of his head. Was it possible to die from this much joy and cuddling? She didn’t know and was sure soon she’d find out.

Riku grinned and hugged her a little tighter before letting go. He stood up and offered his hand. "Do you want to look around some more?" he asked quietly. He didn't mind if she wanted to stay a little longer, but he was quite happy walking around and letting her choose the next place to visit. This was for her after all. It was all for her.

Sunshine whiffed the air in the garden once more. Everything was in full bloom. The roses, the lavender, and even the small blossoms on the tree that she had no idea were. It was filling her with euphoria beyond belief, but she knew begging him to be intimate in his childhood sanctuary was...a bit creepy. That and no matter how romantic nature passions were described, they always ended with dirt in the hard to reach places. So, she stood up to accept his hand. The sun was slowing. That meant in a few minutes, the noon lunchtime would start. She wanted to enjoy that in the village before heading home.
"How about we look around some more," she suggested, "noon is lunch time here in France. I want the full experience."

He smiled. "I know a great café, you'd never think pastrami and goat cheese and tomatoes and pickles and olives go together on a sandwich but I tell you, it's amazing" he took her hand and led her out of the labyrinth of alleyways and back onto the main street. He hummed a few snatches of a French song and grinned happily. "I think the last time I was here I was sixteen and me and some people would go into the woods to see if we could see the fairies parading through the woods, it was stupid of us but we never caught the fairy parade. Just snatches of music" He sighed. "I don't want to know what happens when a twice=blessed person goes into the fairy woods, but maybe tonight it'll be clear enough we can listen to their music on the wind"

Sunshine at first winced at the ingredients. All of it sounded like something from a bachelor's cabinet and thrown onto a plate. All that was missing was a bag of stale chips. But so long as he said it was good, she had to take his word for hit. He led them out of the labyrinth and back to the earth tones of the main street. He hummed again, and she snickered. "You know, you carry a tune quite well, Mr. Lafayette," she was eyeing him coyly. A pervert or jealous person would have called them 'bedroom eyes'. "The fairies may not come out in the woods with their music, but I must admit, hearing yours is giving me the surprise."

He looked over at her with a coy smirk. Though he was a little embarrassed. His singing, when compared with others, sucked. "I've got more surprises just waiting" he said with a wink and had to resist the urge to take this woman back home and make love to her till they both couldn't stand. He was intending for something similar that night, but this just wasn't going to wait. "Do you want to take the sandwiches to go?" he asked huskily.

The wink and husk in his voice snapped her out of whatever trance she had been in. She blushed with embarrasment. Wow. Was she rushing headlong into intimacy that quickly? That wasn’t love, that was lust. She shook her head, blinking out other thoughts. Those could wait until they got back to the chateau. “Sorry. I got a little...sucked in by the romance there. Uh...maybe after lunch?”

He paused and nodded. Her embarrassment was working to make him realize he was thinking with his dick and not his head. Honestly what was he thinking? intimacy could wait until after lunch. He smiled at her. "There's other sandwiches besides the one I told you. Chicken and lamb and other meats, like goat. I just like the pastrami one best" he led her inside and began listing off the menu the different foods, translating from French for her.
