Elsa gave a humorless laugh. That was exactly what she wanted to think about in someplace trying to keep her safe. Weapons. She opened her hand. Small snow flurries erupted like a frozen volcano, fluttering gently through the air.
"I doubt weapons could double up to this,"
She wondered how many other people like her, the gifted humans, were seeking refuge in Adrien's huge mansion. If push came to shove, maybe they would work as one to keep out the dangers. Not only would it be safer for the people, but perhaps open the eyes of those who looked at bigotry. There could be lessons in how to properly kill demons. Or how to protect a house properly to avoid more homes being broken into. The possibilities were endless.

"Have you met the fire demon?" Adrien asked. "He owns a bar nearby. He's holding down his bar and keeping his staff and their families safe."
Axel refused to come to the manor. He had to protect his shop. He had to protect his workers. He had been barely coherent as he growled and snarled at any demon that got too close to the building. If anything, his presence alone made the block a little safer. But it also brought the smell of ash and cinder to the air. At least with Elsa's chill, it wasn't so gruesome. They had luckily managed to spare a lot of the kids from seeing demons or anyone being killed.

"Axel?" Elsa confirmed. Something like hope gleamed in her eyes. "I mean, we're acquaintances, but I know of him."
She had seen the fire demon. From what she had known, he had been the friendly loyal sort. It would make sense that he was out making sure people like his patrons and a select few were okay. That also gave her some comfort. That not all demons were hive minded like the ones attacking the city. Coem to think of it, strong-willed demons or any reformed demons had resisted Disparion. If that loyalty would dwindle, she wasn't sure.

"That's him." Adrien confirmed.
The term 'fighting like a man possessed' came to mind, but he wasn't sure it was in good taste since Axel was a demon. A creature that could possess people if Yang's stories about Vanitas were to be believed. Axel wasn't like the mindless demons attacking the outer walls of the Agreste estate. He showed logic and cunning that the other demons didn't. If he turned however, if he could not resist the lull of Disparion's call, he would be a frightful enemy. Adrien wouldn't want to have to fight Axel to keep the people safe, but if it came down to it... he would.
"He showed us how to fight back before going back to his bar."

Elsa managed a smile.
"Good. We need someone to convince the people of this town to fight back."
The Others Unit could only do so much. Considering a good chunk of them had demonic heritage, the chances of them turning against the squad if the king of demons decided to go full force would be dangerously high. Yes there were demons like Axel who had chosen to align with heroes as opposed to the supposed villains, but who was to say? Elsa wanted to trust some people, and some she really did, but it was difficult they would ever trust her again. Not if they found out she had been part of this grand affair to start the end of the world.

"I think we are," Adrien pointed out. "We're trying to keep things as normal as possible for the kids. And the adults are learning how to fight back."
He was lucky he still kept on a security team. The hard part now was keeping weapons stocked. They couldn't just make new bullets. This was a home for fashion, not munitions. Luckily the tall iron gates kept most things out because they were spiked at the top and he had people keeping patrols. They welcomed in humans and Others alike. No one was turned away unless they were aggressive. Adrien wasn't about to risk the safety of anyone under his care. And he was doing everything he could to keep the peace in a large and bustling household. His home had never been more full.

Elsa nodded solemnly. People were fighting back. Good. They couldn't always hide behind people with powers forever. Eventually, something would go wrong with those powers. She sighed and the mug frosted. People who would come to her IF all this came to an end. They would complain about injustice from a demon lord taking over a city. The pain weighed on her once again. The bayou was slowly becoming an Arctic tundra thanks to her. Well, one corner of the bayou and she had been rescued by Shadow and Sunshine....were those two out there leading the fight? She hadn't heard any news about them.
"Have you...heard from the dream team at all? Shadow and Sunshine?"

Adrien sighed and shook his head. He hadn't heard much of anything from anyone. Just news that newcomers brought. Fewer people were leaving the safety of the Agreste walls. Unless they were supply runs. He had Aqua and Jane for those because few people wanted to risk it. He sighed, not sure how long the place would last if they didn't have basic supplies like food and water. It was best not to start thinking like that. He had far too many people depending on him to keep this place safe and secure.
"Aqua and Jane haven't seen them but... Aqua seems to know something about Shadow. She's not saying anything but she changes the topic when he's brought up."

Elsa looked down sadly. Great, the on thing Lilith accused her of being, which was sad, and she was starting to show it. Well, at least she hadn't frosted over the kitchen just yet. Adrien was running short on supplies enough. Yes, both of them were rich and with enough of their money could restock when pooling together, but even then it still wouldn't be enough. The dream team was out there and one of them knew something was going on with one of them. It interested her that the Seelie knew something but was keeping it quiet. Was it too horrible to say? She didn't know. Speaking of Aqua, she herself had a terrible secret she that connected back to the Seelie. Wounds that healed left scars and were uneasy to open. She sighed.
"I see."

"I'm sure if it's important she'll tell us." Adrien reasoned. "She's just been busy fighting her way through the town and making sure everyone has everything they need."
He knew everyone was working so hard to try to keep the town afloat. But demons were making it difficult. Adrien wasn't sure how to get rid of the beasts. It was almost like they needed an exterminator but the best one - Shadow - was nowhere to be found. They would have to make due without him. At least until he was found. IF the demons hadn't eaten him first.

"Unfortunately, now is not the time to be keeping secrets." Elsa rebounded his logic with her own. "Yes, she's had her hands full with protecting the city, as do most of the Others Unit, but hiding something will hurt more than it will help."
The sadness that once possessed her was gone. Replacing it was a steeled, cold determined drive. She thought it had disappeared when she had been chosen to help end the world. She looked back to the people surrounding her. The cops were going to be run thin. She couldn't spend some of her time hiding and feeling sorry for herself. She had to help Adrien be the beacon for those trapped.

Adrien shrugged. Aqua had been working herself to the bone. He felt that she was entitled to a thought or two to herself. She didn't need to share everything as long as she kept the people safe. Besides, her work had to wear thin on her. Eventually, she would tell someone what she knew because it would eat at her and she would need to talk. Secrets had a way of doing that to a person. He would know. It had nearly killed him to hide the fact he was Chat Noir from Yang. It was a relief not to have to hide from her.
"This is Aqua. She'll tell us when she's ready. You know she plays things close to the heart." he reasoned, "Whatever it is, she hasn't let it interfere with keeping the town safe."

Elsa gave a solemn understanding nod. She supposed that was true. Besides Griffiths, Seddon, and Xiao Long, Aqua was one of the few cops that took her role as a citywide protector seriously. She looked at her acquaintance. Aside from the paparazzi intervention and the compromise to help with her fashion line, she had never really talked with Adrien Agaste. He looked solemn, an older man trapped in a teenager's body. "So...the lineup was met with approval."

"Line up?" he inquired. "Would you remind me again?"
He had a lot of things on his mind. A line up wasn't one of them. Not unless it included lining up weapons or food for the new guests in his home. He had been prepared to take on his staff and their families, but he couldn't close the gates on the people who needed him most. Not even the news reporters who had made their way in. They were getting interviews with him, reporting to the outside world what was going on and just documenting everything. He had been pulled a million different directions at once, trying to be protector and host bundled up into one.

“I guess it would be the last thing on your mind with all that happened,” Elsa mused apologetically.
Adrien was a face of the people. He didn’t need something materialistic clouding his line of judgment for everyone right now. She folded her hands. Stuff like this distracted her from the fear and pain. It made her feel human and not like a monster.
“Back in spring, I mentioned my closeted love of fashion design. You and I agreed to start a collection. I sent the designs off, saying it was a group effort. They loved them.”
