Weiss moved fast as a clawed paw swiped at her. She managed to block the attack in time with her sword, but she still skidded backwards several feet. She gritted her teeth as she saw more monsters start to close in. She had just started to leave the Garcon Perdu area when a bunch of bear-like demons had swarmed her. Thickly built and armed with sharp claws and teeth, they'd been going at her for a while now. She didn't have more than just some scratches and bruises, but she knew she'd start to get tired if she didn't get through all these things fast enough. She wouldn't be able to fight forever, and her store of potions and magic power wouldn't either. She was practically moving at a snail's pace towards the city. Nevertheless, she aimed her sword, lunged forward, and stabbed the monster right through the heart. It fell to the ground with a dull thud. However, the rest of the demons nearby took the opportunity to move in a little closer. Weiss stood up, catching her breath as she tried to keep all the monsters within her sight.

Wally had almost wanted to be thankful to running into Dorian,at least with the Unseelie there, he was able to help get quite a few people to safety. He had to admit that saving people in a time of danger felt like a rush. Granted, it wasn't the best situation to do it in, he would have preferred that the streets not be littered with demons but he was doing a good deed. If the city needed his help, then he wold give it. His powers made things easier but sometimes going at the speed of sound was too much.
His feet skitted to a halt at the sound of more demons. More?! Seriously. How many were there?! Either way, maybe someone needed his help. His own feet moved faster towards the sound and then stopped. The familiar white hair and blue eyes. This wasn't just someone. This was Weiss. The girl who wasn't a damsel. But she was out-numbered?!
'Gah, you can't just stand there.' he thought. 'Screw it.' Wally frowned, thankful that he was hiding behind the mask. He launched his feet and slammed into a demon that was starting to come from behind.

As one demon approached Weiss, she heard the growl of another one behind her. At the exact same time she turned around though, she heard the thud of someone slamming into it. For a second, it just looked like a red and yellow blur. But she soon saw who it was. "Kid Flash?" she asked, shocked. She'd only met the guy once before, but he had the whole "superhero" thing going on, and even had the same powers as Wally. Maybe it wasn't too surprising to find him here. If he wanted to help people who were in trouble, this area of the city was the perfect place to hit up. Another monster tried to take advantage of her distraction, but she sent it flying with a blast of wind. "You stuck here too?" she asked, eyeing the rest of the demons warily. Having Kid Flash here made her feel a bit better, but there were still a lot of demons to get through. Could they take them all on?

Kid Flash gave an uneasy smile before turning to face the other monsters that were surrounding them. He hadn't thought about how many of them were around. Had they multiplied? That didn't matter. They could take them all down. His speed and her powers, they wouldn't stand a chance. "Afraid so." he replied. "Was not expecting this kind of...situation but I couldn't leave helpless people to defend themselves against these creatures."
He still had no idea why these creatures were here or what they wanted. He wondered if Weiss had any ideas of what had caused this.

"Same," Weiss replied. "I was just finishing up when these guys showed up. Guess they figured someone running around would be easy prey." After all, someone on the street was a much easier target than a person barricaded in their home. Although, to be honest, most people had favored Weiss's suggestion of heading to Adrien's place. His mansion was in a much safer area. If Weiss could just get past these monsters, she could head there too. She glanced down at her stock of potions. She only had two left: one to create a thick fog and another to explode. She pulled out a bottle that seemed to be filled with white smoke. "Okay, here's what we do," she said. "I throw this thing, it's gonna make some pretty dense fog. While they can't see crap, we rush in and take 'em out." With Kid Flash's super speed, that would be easy to pull off. And Weiss could take on any that he missed.

The superhero smirked at the idea of having a bunch of demons running around in confusion, leaving their guard open to attacks. It was a dirty trick but with these creatures, Wally learned quickly that playing dirty was the only way to play. He eyed the bottle in Weiss's hand. The fact that it could produce such a fog reminded him of old science projects he used to do. But this wasn't science. It was magic. Otherworldly. "Sounds like a plan to me." he replied, cracking his knuckles as a smirk rose from his face. "Let's take them down!"

Kid Flash seemed to like the idea. That was all the confirmation Weiss needed. She slammed the bottle onto the ground. The glass shattered instantly, and a thick grey fog covered the area in less than a second. All the monsters that were slowly creeping in closer suddenly froze, seeming unsure of what to do. And that hesitation was what Weiss and Kid Flash needed. She started swinging her sword, cutting down demons right and left. The fog would only last for so long, after all. That was one of the drawbacks of these potions. They were handy in a pinch, but they could only do so much.

'Whoa, okay that's pretty cool' Wally thought as he watched the creatures look around in confusion and watching Weiss cutting down demons like it was nothing. Now it was his turn, he took a deep breath before breaking out into a running speed. Faster. Faster. When he ran, he lost track of how fast he rant, but he knew that he was at least knocking demons off their feet, some even disappeared with his speed. 'This is great!' he wanted to cheer.

Weiss actually felt herself smiling. This was going pretty smoothly. If she and Kid Flash could just keep this up, then they could get out of here easily. However, as she struck down the last demon, there was a resounding THUD! that nearly made her lose her balance. "What the hell..." she muttered as she turned around. And her eyes widened. Through the fog emerged one last demon, except it was a lot bigger than the others. It stood on two legs and had the thick chest and arms of a gorilla. "Shit," Weiss cursed as the last of the fog vanished, leaving her and Kid Flash in plain sight of the monster. It looked like their fight wasn't completely over yet.

The teen hadn't felt this much thrill since he had decided to take down criminals to help make the world safer. It was strange to think that fighting demons was something that would make him feel that thrill again. His heart beat was pounding before he noticed that half the fog had disappeared and that Weiss had stopped moving.
"Hey what-"he stopped short noticing the big monster in front of them. "Oh."
This was something he had not been expecting. A bigger one. Maybe it would be easy, after all it was two on one.

Weiss thought for a moment, her grip tightening on her sword. Then she turned to Kid Flash and said "Maybe if we move fast, it won't be able to get both of us." This thing was pretty big, but that also meant it would probably be slow. Weiss dashed forward and thrust her sword forward. However, it turned out that this demon's hide was stronger than she thought it was. Her blade only seemed to annoy it rather than hurt it. She struggled to pull it out, but she was too slow, and the monster smacked her hard with its paw. Instinct made her hold onto her sword, but that was all she could do before crashing into the ground. The demon roared before swinging its paws in Kid Flash's direction.

(sorry for the late reply)
Kid Flash barely managed to dodge, the paws swooped by, as he heard the sound of Weiss hitting the ground. "You alright?" he called out as he continued to dodge the blows. It only seemed to make the creature more angry though. There wasn't a time to worry about Weiss, though he wanted to run over and help her up. He couldn't help her if he couldn't help himself. "Alright, big guy, you wanna dance. I'll dance." he said bouncing back and forth on his feet, moving back and forth faster and faster.

Weiss just nodded as she pushed herself up. It looked like she could still stand, but the pain in her side was definitely going to slow her down a bit. Kid Flash moved in fast, focusing the monster's attention on himself. It missed the first couple of times it tried to swing at him, but Weiss suddenly saw its eyes shift. It was focusing on Kid Flash, figuring out the pattern of his movements. Its paw moved, ready to strike him with everything he had. And for a brief moment, Weiss felt like it was Mardi Gras again, where she was desperately fighting off Thrax to protect Yang. She'd only succeeded then because of the horrible shadow spirits she'd summoned. And now, she couldn't even do that to protect Kid Flash. It felt like her heart stopped, and panic burst inside her like a balloon that was popped.
"No!" The word came out raw and full of fear. And Weiss did the only thing she could think of. She grabbed her last potion bottle and chucked it at the demon as hard as she could. It turned out however, that that was the answer. There was the sound of shattering glass, then the demon immediately burst into flames. Its screams clawed at Weiss's ears, but she barely registered the pain. All that mattered was getting herself and Kid Flash out of here. "Run!" she shouted, heading off down the street at a sprint, making a dash for safety.

All of it happened faster than he could run. The demon's fist coming towards him in slow motion and then suddenly the sound of breaking glass and then fire and screaming. The monster's screams vibrated and echoed in his head, he could hear Weiss's voice telling him something. But what? He couldn't make out the sound, but sounded almost like a command. He should run. That's what he was good at. His feet refused to move, drawn to the sight of the fires. It was just like that night. The night his life changed.
Was it panic he was feeling? Fear? It wasn't a human being, it was a monster. It shouldn't have brought back the memories. He had to run. Get away. Panic breaths came as Wally forced his feet to move, almost as if it was more effort than it was worth and took off after the girl. His green eyes glanced over his shoulder once to gaze back at the scene.

For a moment, Kid Flash seemed frozen, and Weiss was about to turn around and get him. What was going on with him? But he took off running after her soon enough. They passed into a safer area of the city soon enough, but Weiss's legs kept moving, almost as if she wanted to put as much distance between herself and that flashback as much as possible. Finally, she came to a stop, bending over as she panted for breath. All of the pain she was feeling suddenly caught up with her: her throbbing side, her aching feet, her cramped fingers from holding onto her sword too tightly. She just focused on breathing for the moment, trying to get a grip on herself. She couldn't afford to freak out right now, not with Kid Flash right next to her.
