The sounds and source of flames faded from view as he came to a sudden halt. Normally after running, he felt better than ever. Now, he felt drained, just exhausted. He could feel his heart pounding out of his chest, as he glanced back behind him, there was no sign of the monsters following them. Maybe they were trying to help the bigger one. "You alright?" he asked, glancing at the girl next to him.

Weiss didn't respond for a moment. Then, she gave a little sigh as she fell to her knees, her adrenaline finally wearing off and leaving her exhausted. She was about to say that she was fine, but she knew that would be a lie. Riku and her friends had been encouraging her to be more honest about her feelings, especially if she wasn't feeling too good. "I'll...I'll be alright," she said. "Just...pushed myself a little too much. That's all." That was the truth, at least. She'd be fine in a moment. She just needed to sit and rest for a bit. This area looked safe right now. She could take a breather and get her strength back before finally making her way to Adrien's mansion.

Wally had to admit, that fight had taken a lot out of him. More than it should have. "Take all the time you need, I need a bit of breather myself." he replied stretching his arms, trying not to think about the screams of that monster. They had made a good team, it was nice to work with someone else. He had thought that maybe that having someone involved with him fighting would be hard but it hadn't...it felt easy. "Good job out there."

At least Kid Flash agreed that taking a break was a good idea. Weiss was worried that she'd look like a wimp compared to him. He was a superhero, after all. He probably saw a lot more action than she did. Of course, Weiss had her fair share of fights under her belt. Even before taking on Thrax, she'd been pretty good at fencing. Being able to defend herself had given her a sense of control. Now, she liked using it when she could to help others. She was quiet for a moment as she focused on calming down. It had been a while since she'd been shaken up that badly. But Kid Flash thought that she'd done pretty decently, so that had to count for something. "Thanks," she said, giving a little smile. "I guess you're...used to stuff like this, being a superhero and all."

Wally had to think about that. It was true in most comic books, superheroes did fight against creatures like this. "I am used to the typical robberies or saving the occasional citizen from disaster. However, that..." he gestured to the area that they had run from. "That was a new experience to me." He had to chuckle at that, he had wanted to be a superhero so bad he hadn't even imagined that. "I must have missed that part of the superhero orientation, I can check it off my list now." He was still shaken over the fight and the sounds that creature had made, humor was the best way to do it. "I take it, you don't know anything about what caused these things to appear do you?"

So, monsters were new for Kid Flash. That at least made Weiss feel a little better. Sure, she'd dealt with her monstrous shadow spirits before, but they weren't quite the same as these things. Dealing with them was something new for the both of them. She gave a shrug in answer to his question. "Not exactly sure what caused them to appear," she replied. "All I know is that this city's gone haywire like it's the apocalypse. Everyone's calling it the end of the world." Weiss wasn't sure if she'd go quite that far. Sure, things were apocalyptic right now, but that didn't mean it was the end of everything. She was sure there was some way to stop all this. The Others Unit just had to figure it out.

So, even she didn't know what was going. At least she was nicer than Dorian. "End of the world huh, that seems a bit...melodramatic." There was excitement and then there was this. It felt more like a blessing now than ever to have these powers. It was strange to think that one day the city had been peaceful, that he had been having a nice chat with Weiss and then this. "This place can't seem to catch a break. Guess it's up to people like us to help out."

"I don't know. Who can blame them for thinking that way?" Weiss said. "I mean, the sky's red, monsters are running everywhere, and people are swearing they saw the Devil himself. Everyone's freaking out." She swept a lock of hair out of her face before continuing. "But just because everything's gone to Hell doesn't mean that it...is Hell, you know? I mean, I'm not ready to think that this is how things are gonna be from now on. Someone will figure out how to stop it." She had to remain positive that this wasn't the end. Losing hope would just make everything harder. And if people like her and Kid Flash and the Others Unit held onto hope, then others would too. She nodded at Kid Flash's comment. "Yeah. We'll do what we can until things get better."

He nodded at her comments,it made sense. If he hadn't had gifts like he had, then he probably would have been one of those people as well. "I hope that that's true. I would hate to be fighting demons every day. As fun as it is. I would rather go back to the sky being the regular blue." he smiled, trying to keep his mood light. At least they both could help those without gifts get to safety. "Where do you think we should go now?"

Weiss gave a half-hearted laugh. "Yeah. I wouldn't mind seeing a blue sky again either," she said. Hopefully, that day wasn't too far away. When Kid Flash asked what they should do now, she let out a breath before slowly standing up. While she wasn't at full strength yet, at least she could stand without wanting to collapse. That was a good sign. "I should...head to Adrien Agreste's place," she said. "That's where I was going anyway. He's sheltering people there. I was gonna head over and rest a bit, maybe see what I could do there." She glanced around for a moment before continuing. "This is a safer part of the city, as far as I can tell, so at least we don't have to sprint all the way there." If she was honest, she would admit that she probably wasn't up for running now anyway.

The hero couldn't help but smile. 'Leave it to my boss to be one of the coolest dudes in town.' he thought. His brain was still running through many situations that could happen if he had been out here alone. He would have probably been down for the count against the biggest demon. It was easier fighting demons as a team. "That's good at least, hopefully more people have found a way to stay safe." he replied. "I don't like the idea of innocents getting mixed up in something like this."
At least there were more people like him out there. The other unit could handle this. "Shall we?" he asked

"Neither do I," Weiss said. She knew people like Sunshine and Riku could take care of themselves. They were good in a fight. But what about those that weren't? What would they do? Weiss knew that not everyone could be protected, but she could damn well try. It was better than doing nothing at all. She nodded at Kid Flash. "Yeah. Let's go." Her hand rested on the hilt of her sword as she started walking. She doubted she would need it on the way to Adrien's house, but it couldn't hurt to be too careful.

Kid Flash nodded as he glanced back over his shoulder slightly. He could barely see the smoke or anything from where they were fighting. His main concern was if any other innocent ran into that chaos. There didn't seem to be any. That didn't mean he could relax though. He kept his pace with Weiss, as much as he wanted to run, the hero felt that they would be better together.

Kid Flash was quiet for a while as they walked. Weiss was too, mainly because she was still tired and didn't feel like saying much. Besides, making small talk during the apocalypse seemed like kind of a waste. She liked having him beside her though. It felt safe. And Kid Flash was easy to talk too, much like Wally was. Weiss felt like she could open up to both of them, even though she hadn't known them nearly as long as some of her other friends, like Adrien or Elsa. After some time in walking in silence though, a question came to mind and curiosity made her ask it. "So...what exactly got you into the whole superhero thing? I mean, around here, when someone wants to help people for a living, they become a police office or a firefighter or something. What made you decide to do something different?"

A small blush came to his cheeks. "Ah, well, you'll probably think its silly but I read a lot of comics and something about being a superhero kind of stuck with me more than it probably would have." he said, "Though I don't think that it would have been possible if I hadn't discovered what I could do. I came really close to following in my mom's footsteps, she was a doctor." He hadn't thought about the career choice in such a long time. His mom had always helped others with just her hands and always wanted to keep the world safe. Others had thought because of his brains he should have been a scientist.
"I guess I am still a kid at heart who thought that wearing the mask was a way to help other people."
